Just left there and there’s definitely multi dimensional traveling through the messages in her computer in room and diary. Aliens or something ! But there was so much depth! I was there 4 hours and still want to go back and deep dive some more.
It was about a kid who was wanting to be in the real world, have real friends and a real life instead of her mother’s made up world, so Marin dreams. Marin is made up of “source” and in order to make Omega Mart products she needs Marin to act a certain way and think certain thoughts, otherwise.. well, meltdowns and a lot more. She didn’t leave however, everything was meant to happen, her mom knew what she was doing. Remember to look at EVERYTHING next time 😉 Also, there’s more to the story, such as her father, what he was up to, a whole whole WHOLE lot more
I thought that Marin tried to escape the 7 Monolith Village and dissapwared because she herself is made of source energy. This theory is based on her close relation with Jesse who is the head of the Monolith movement. In Jesse's computer you see pics of both her and Marins relationship, and documentation of Jesse's activist efforts against Dramcorp. I thought she convinced Marin to run away, and which caused Marin to dissaparate.
This is perfect it touched on a lot of what I was thinking and more! Once I have better thoughts I can put together on this or any other information I find out I will always resort back to your videos to let you know in case it helps🥰

This is spoilers for Omega Mart going forward but one thing that this you didn't discuss in this video is what Marin is part of the Source. In addition to figuring out her sexuality, I believe she is also trying to find a way to distingush herself from this greater cosmic power that fathered her. Where Walter calls her a profit to be made (in his disappearance video), I think Cecelia also sees her as a product or advancement for the company, only made worse as she became figurehead for the company. Because of this, Marin struggles with her identity in personhood. I believe his has to cover up and even hide from the Souce, such as the constant presence headphones and her covering her ears from the comic space constantly approaching her. Personally, I am curious to see what kinds of things this rebellion against Cecelia and Dramcorp will cause in the narrative since she is such a powerful person with such volital teenage emotions!

I don't think the monster form of heart throb is supposed to be seen as a monster but one of the fish like aliens that were the original owners of the source the thing that keeps omega mart products addictive and promoting sales. And it's not like Marin wasn't interested in him as she literally consumed him as a photo. It feels like giving the power of the source to her instead of Cecilia because he's just as gentle as Marin is with her female crush.
Edit: spoilers warning Also I think Marin’s mom tried to have it all, take Marin with her after giving birth in 7mv, but her baby kept getting pulled back to the source as she tried driving home. So she left Marin behind chose her career.
When I was watching, the main thing I noticed was that the portal seems to be a, possibly literal, representation of Marin's connection to The Source, which (like Dram Corp), she covered with teenage consumerism soaked in compulsory heterosexuality (the whole "assume Straight until Coming Out" thing). Also, the boy her mom wants her to be with, the one Marin kissed, is an alien (Xenian, I believe). Marin also dreams of an alien of the same species at one point. This is important because, in Omega Mart lore, the Xenians were the previous controllers of the Source (aka Creative Chaos), who were destroyed by their greed, just like Cecilia's father was.

I have a feeling that Marin is too much for Cecilia to control, and the Source will not be bound. I've never been to any of their locations, but learning everything I can about them, and the lore, is bringing me creative inspiration I haven't had in many years.

But The stuff revealed by Boop Cards does make it more clear what Marin's nature & general fate is. There's even a way to help the Dram family by visiting computers & transferring files. Cult vibes? Absolutely. Cecilia's TED Talk (found in the DramCorp office computers) was one of my favorite bits to watch! Also the Droom (read: Zoom) calls that involve Cecilia & the other executives are loads of fun. I don't know what else to share here, because I'm not sure how much you'd like to not be spoiled before actually going yourself, but I really look forward to more of your & others' insights as time goes on.

@@20thLetter The first thing to know is that you will miss things. There's so much in breadth & depth that even 3 hours can't possibly cover everything. If you walk away with a general idea of an overall timeline, and the basic motivations of all the major players, then I'd consider that a success. My advice is to take each area or room one at a time. Consider why each room might exist. Maybe it's just a cool, artistic room affected by Dram Corp's "weirdness." Maybe it's a place significant to a particular character. If a place feels like it belongs in an actual business, residence, store, or factory setting, then there's probably lore somewhere. Also, look at as much of the OmegaMart & Dram Corp's websites as you can to get a baseline for the surface concepts & characters. Just have fun. Take in what you can. :)
I don’t know…I think you have a lot of it described well. But the alien connection I think also has Marin confused. Who is Marin? Is she part alien? Bisexual? She feels different and isn’t sure where to go. I am going back to Omega Mart for a second time this month. There is a video in there I am watching again. Clues point to Cecelia being impregnated by something not human. Boop cards were not available when we went in March so we felt like we missed a lot.

Hi, i realize this comment is 2 years old but now I work at the location in Texas now and I have been blessed to share several experiences with vision impaired guests that were downright magical. MW puts a lot of thought into elements outside of just the visual and I discover new things in my home exhibit every day. 🥰

But I do hope that there's a Daytona beach or Orlando MW location one day. That would be awesome. After magnifying parts of some videos OM is pretty imaginative. I bet if I where to go one day, I bet I would have a blast.
I went to omega mart 2 weeks ago, Me my girlfriend and my best friend, were going to a 3 day music festival in Vegas. My girlfriend heard about omega mart from Facebook and and saw some cool pictures and really wanted to check it out, Me and my best friend were under the impression that this place was just some kind of interactive museum But like the slogan said we had no idea what was in store for us, We definitely plan on going back, By the time we had started to get a grasp on the mystery we had to leave, but I was given a clue by one of the employees that didn't make sense to me until I was already driving back home from Vegas, The best way I can describe Omega mart is it's a living museum that's an escape room that you don't have to escape from

I just discovered MW and slowly starting to become a fan, it feels like their art is vision impairment friendly, as I'm visually impaired.
