I went there around the time it opened. The staff members are the nicest people you will ever meet, and the only way I can describe it, is that it’s like the under presents VR, but on crack. I loved every second. I would go again if it wasn’t so expensive! 😂❤

I still have a brochure where they announced a Phoenix and DC location, so… …can’t wait for those to open too.

I think that’s sadly what greed has done to society. They make our ideas and purpose into profits, leaning towards make makes the most money instead of that could be better physically, mentally, or creatively. It’s the number one reason why I fear of doing art as a job even though it’s something I loved to do. It sucks how much Meow Wolf had to adapt to survive in today’s economy even when it mean sacrificing their ideas or the people who work for them (via firing or laying off) . But I’m happy you’re still trying your best to be who you want to be at your job. I hope you get to see more cool art pieces and attractions, meet more people and stay connected with the friends you’ve made there.❤

I have a question, whats the scanner in the app

Has there been a change in management or something like that? Because the actions they seem to be making recently are signs of a change in management. This feels very similar to something like the Warner Bros. situation

i didnʻt know about the layoffs, i really only follow the world-building and art. 😮 its a scary reminder that this is a business and they really need to take time to maintain their investments. 😢 iʻve yet to go to any locations and i love how each of the worlds can shift. the updates and changes in the exhibits are really exciting, i wish they poured more into that and helped keep all the artists active, really leaned into that "support local" pillar the company stands on.

Now I'm really worried for Meowwolf Houston. I mean Meowwolf Grapevine was basically just a mashup of their previous 3 exhibits.

Meow Wolf isn't about the artists or providing an accessible experience anymore, the thing that made me stop supporting them was when they announced the Texas location and claimed they were doing it to "support queer people" all while ignoring our concerns about them overpricing, taking advantage of us, and just how Texas is towards minorities in general. It's sad to see something that started out as a genuine creative movement become a greed fueled capitalist hellscape.

Yeah we love meow wolf, but theres a lot of dumb things happening, stupid to immediately announce a location after a bunch of people just lost their jobs. I understand layoffs if money is scarce for a company but if that were the case why the hell would they be like OOO LOOK AT THIS EXPENSIVE COOL THING WE'RE DOING. very dissapointing atm

I'm excited for this new location, however, the thing I don't like is the fact that I've only gone to Meow Wolf 2 times, I want to go to the other locations too, but they keep coming out with more. I am still exited though! Also, what do you think the name will be?

Where can I go to learn about the ongoing story of the exhibits? I’ve only been to one exhibit and I didn’t have time to take it in or solve anything

Was thinking of going down the slide but felt uncomfortable with the stepping up-and-in motion, went through the tunnel instead, immediately regretted it 16:55 "express intent to find the trailer -> get lost -> find the slug room -> start to forget about the trailer -> go back to Portals Brrrr-muda after going through once -> find trailer" was basically my path through TRU to find Lucius' trailer...which is actually quite thematic, considering the whole "the Lost" thing... (I think my favorite part about the trailer room is how the radio will occasionally play an aggressively sad country song between the Lucius interview and the VOCS numbers. It adds a comical despondency on top of the Lucius angst in the "mind map" lore summary scrapbook/interview/bits hidden in the diorama that's just *mwah* delightful.)
