Still can’t comprehend how anyone could still hate Berdly after this chapter his character really shined the most this chapter like god he was super enjoyable and a riot to see this chapter like lmao
Reposting this from my reply to another comment, at the request of another user. SPOILERS AHEAD you're supposed to think he's an asshole *at first*, but toby goes all out with his character development he reveals he knows Noelle has a crush on Susie and not him, but accepts it and supports her as a friend anyway he admits that he's a loser and attributes all of his success to Noelle's help He admits he just wanted to make a world where he and Noelle could be on top, because he thinks they (Noelle being included in "they") deserve it and wanted to do something in return for Noelle after all she's done for him He's the one who comes up with the plan to save Noelle He admits he only became a pawn for the queen because she promised she wouldn't harm Noelle if he did AND he's the one who brings all the Darkners to your rescue in Phase 2 of the final boss but that's not even the end. The alternate scenes are where he really shines the most. If you beat Phase 1 of the Queen by FIGHTing her instead of ACTing to free Berdley from his plug, she uses him against you, forcing him to attack you and forcing your team to stand down because otherwise they'd end up hurting him. He refuses to go along with this, forcefully tearing himself free from his plug, frying his arm with electricity in the process. In the real world, when he wakes up, he can't feel nor move his arm - he didn't just get hurt in the Dark World, he sacrificed his actual arm in the real world to save you. In the alternate story route, the scene where he finds you with Noelle in the alley is different. He becomes *much* more convinced that you are genuinely forcing her along, whereas otherwise you can tell his heart isn't really in it. He states that he doesn't care that you're his classmate, and that if you're hurting his friend, he'll stop you by force. The battle music shifts from his usual upbeat theme to a more ominous one, and he exclusively targets Kris, with his attacks being much more powerful than usual - he's really going all-out to protect Noelle. If he manages to knock out Kris, he tells Noelle that Kris is down and she's safe now, but she says she can still hear their voice (actually referring to YOU, the player, since Kris is an actual character seperate from you that you are just able to control for most of the game). The battle ends with you forcing Noelle to use the spell "Snowgrave" on him (with it's description simply saying "FATAL"), brutally killing him with ~1800 damage and freezing him solid in a block of ice. When the Dark Fountain is sealed and everyone wakes up, Berdly does not awake. Interacting with him says that he is not awake. It never says he's asleep - just *not awake*. Interacting with the closet in the corner of the room says that it's big enough for a large person to fit inside - clearly implying you're going to hide the body in there. Berdly is clearly dead. He'd give up his life for Noelle, not as a love interest, but as a genuine and dear friend. Don't go around talking shit about Berdly, he's the real MVP of Chapter 2.
Except that he telks Noelle he knew (even tho is wrong) she had a crush on him, and he only pretended to return the feelings to not make her feel bad. But that he now had a crush on Susie. Which is hilarious!!
also brutal that he is trapped in the block of ice and cant go through the fountain to escape the dark world, berdley is trapped in an area forever. in another word, you enter a dimension and trap someone in it, then locking it away forever, which kills berdley in the process.
@@GoldballIndustries they don't go through the dark fountain like a portal, they deactivate it, and return to the light world because the dark world they're trapped in no longer exists you can't be "left behind", in other words meaning... he died because dying in the dark world actually kills you, which is probably more brutal anyway

@@monky7106 man, copy this an make a principal coment, everyone needs to know how big berdly was.
@@monky7106 at last someone who sees berdley is actually cool af
yeah he's smug on the exterior but he's genuinely pretty selfless when the chips are down, despite his clear issues
also what's really funny is that he never was into noelle, just saw her as a friend, honestly maybe his only one, and they relied on each other. part of what's fucking hilarious about the scene about the crush is berdley revealing it, how he values her as a friend and not as a romantic interest while comically missing the point in the way he does, and then him revealing he's falling for susie much to noelle's VERY CLEAR CHAGRIN
Susie was much more antagonistic and cruel in chapter 1, it's no comparison, but everyone seems to think it's okay to hate Berdly when the entire game is about empathy.
@@JerichoMoon Yeah is odd that the community hates on him more than Susie, like she threaten to bite Kris' head off and now the community love her
This makes me think there’s gonna be a Jockington chapter, maybe even a Temmie chapter
Man decided to Wave Dash me like wth
Berdley??? Thought his name was Berdly lol

Ah Bordoly, the halbird gaming beholder
Nerdly vibes
This ugly bird was so annoying BUT.... his theme is awesome, dont lie
It's cheating because Toby fox cannot make bad music.
Deltarune & Undertale really have good memorable songs

I mean the part where chapter 1 ends and the chapter 2 begins
Berdly based
how can you hate Berdly, he's literally neurodivergent and a minor smh
because i teleported bread.
Because he did not make a good first impression and his chapter 1 interactions were left to be stewed on for a couple years.
If you put it at .75 speed, you can hear the song that plays when you fight him in Snowgrave
I love how every comment here is writing his name wrong
bro the feelings i felt when i encounterered nerdly
actually, this track is called ''Smart Race''
i have a save file just so i can freeze berdly to death everytime i feel stressed
The power of SMUG
Can't believe they added Falco to deltarune
He's got the PvZ bowling piano in his theme
Added this to my Smash Ultimate. Very fun
dear lord this shit BANGS
Sounds like a mega man x stage or boss
Berdly is the type of guy to learn how to get Minecraft for free on his own
This kinda sounds like a sonic music
When your nerdy but still a badass somehow
why is it with the boss themes this chapter i think how awesome it would be if someone made a deltarune mod in a mario and luigi game
funny how the title is spelt wrong but it's pretty much canon according to queen.
The amount of times I’ve died in his battle is absolutely ABSURD, it has no reason to piss me off as much as it did when he was spatting stupid shit 💀
Berdly*
When the local weezer fan gets mad
"Chicken attack"
BERDLY THE SMARTEST BIRD! (well not that of a smart)
they should make a mod of fnf where bf is dressed like Kris, GF is dressed up as Susie, and Ralsei is Pico lmao
This has no right to go as hard as it does
I think you misspelled Burghley
all my homies hate berdly
but imagine having 45% of ur theme in the big boss theme
Kris get the banana
