This whole scene seems to forget that Aegon is below Joffrey in the line of succession. Aka he is nothing. He is a prince by luck of birth, he is the spare’s spare spare (all three of Rhaenyra’s boys are above him), nothing more.
And as we all now know from GoT, Jon snow! He's a targeryan but has black hair and dark eyes, just as well for him to be fair, Robert would have killed him if he had silver hair and violet eyes lol
11:30 "You will have to close an eye". Throughout the serie, the girl shown a pattern of predicting the future (prophecy). This is the first time she mentions something that would happen later, the same way she predicted the "monster beneath the ground" later in the series. So, everything she says should be taken seriously as it is probably an easteregg og a prediction for later.

I've been looking to this, I love seeing my own excitement reflected and matched my the reactors. This episode really had me feelings all sorts of things, and as always the editing is gets better with each compilation.

Alicent was not wrong in what she said though. Her sons are a challenge simply by living and breathing and would have a better claim than Rhaenyra simply due to their gender. At some point someone would've risen up to challenge Rhaenyra regardless of what her brothers felt on the matter and in order to safeguard her reign and stabilise the realm she'd have to execute them or it would keep happening for as long as her rule lasts. Especially with the rumours hanging about her and the fact her eldest three are obviously illegitimate. Viserys was foolish and should've disinherited her and protected both the realm and his house from certain doom in the process. But than again, there would be no story if he had, so...
what viserys should’ve done is found someone else to marry besides alicent, or not marry at all. permanently let go of otto and find another hand. AND allow daemon to marry rhaenyra. rhaenyra KNEW why the realm needed to be united, she attended MOST of the council meetings her father had, provided GREAT advice and would’ve been a GOOD queen. y’all will make the craziest excuses to shit on rhaenyra and find reasons as to why a woman shouldn’t rule.

Viserys was wilfully blind to his daughter frollicking about and siring basards and coddled her beyond reason. He was a humongous fool and Rhaenyra a disaster waiting to happen. Something he could and should have prevented. Gender has little to do with it. Had Rhaenys been his daughter instead of Rhaenyra there would've been little to no issue as Rhaenys was dutiful, competent, diplomatic and rational in her decisionmaking. Ohhh and her children were visibly her husbands...
