    Not a bad looking rig. I tend to do extended dry camping in marginal sun, so I prefer a propane fridge and solar prep so I can pick the components and system size.

    The convenience area should not be where kitchen cupboard space is.
    TV is standard. Is there any way to eliminate the TV for more kitchen cupboard space.
    I am really intrigued with this camper.
    Perhaps powered jacks.
    Three burner range is excessive. Only need two at the most.
    12 volt fridge only? No LP, no 110?
    It looks like there is room for two solar panels on the roof, is that an option? Why isn't two standard?
    I have looked at SEVERAL different brands from Alto, Airstream, Oliver and Winnebago. This one ticks all of the boxes for me. I absolutely love the looks of this. My plan is to use this FULL TIME. It would be nice to have a few changeable options.
    I really hope you respond to this because I really want to buy one... Otherwise why have a TH-cam channel?

    • @slickwilly4613
      @slickwilly4613 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. I think the reason the switched was due to most of the tables were slanted. I think 50% of the 17mke's the table was angled badly.

    I really like this model and Grand design overall. They seem so well made. I am trying to decide between and Grand Design and a Rockwood with Azdel walls. Would you steer me in one direction or the other? How many watts is the Solar panel in the imagine? Does it come with an inverter? Thanks for your great video's?

    • @richardkoch8752
      @richardkoch8752 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The double Azdel walls is a killer feature. Same feature as a Lance trailer which starts above 50K. Why GD doesn't use it is beyond me. Their parent company Winnebago uses Azdel in all their coaches and towables. C'mon Grand Design!

    • @ScottHudginsDoddRV
      @ScottHudginsDoddRV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Both are great campers. The floor plans are different so it would also depend on which layout you prefer because the other may not offer it. The Murphy beds are an upgrade in the Rockwood. Imagine has a 165 watt solar panel. Rockwood will also have the bedroom slides and more options like the slide toppers and power jacks. I wouldn’t buy strictly because of the Azdel. All will require regular preventative maintenance. There are much lower quality campers with Azdel so find the floor plan that works for you 1st. Grand Designs customer service is better than most and that is important. I know that isn’t picking one or the other but I really feel you can’t go wrong with either. We are lucky to sell both.

    • @richardkoch8752
      @richardkoch8752 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slickwilly4613 Seems that the Winnebago line is the "upper tier" where Grand Design is more the budget minded line. Other than the components shared by most manufacturers it seems that Win. uses better grade materials. Floor decking for example....Win uses plywood where GD uses partical board "beaver puke" LOL I'm sure the roofs are the same. I do believe Win uses aluminum trusses where GD uses wood...either is great! I do shutter everytime I see GD saying "R-40" in the roof.....impossible! According to Qwens the fiberglass would have to be 13 inches thick. The foil is only reflective....not insulative. No scientific proof the foil increases it to the R-40 claim. Win tells the realistic R-Value of R10-20 as the roof slopes. I would buy either trailer brand with no fear though....love them both!
