1971, I was 15 and Alice was my very first ever concert. Flash forward 50 years, still going to Alice's concerts. Every show is simply mind boggling.
He shouldn't retire. He is still a tremendous singer and live performer. When you are still on top of your game.... Long live the Coop!
My love for Alice grows every time I turn on an interview. 😁 One of my biggest inspirations.
same :)
Great guy!.. And the gold is.. Listen to the man's crystal clear voice..!! Always admired his voice,.. Only a few singer's are blessed with such voice..
If Alice cooper knows where I live then why don’t he come to my house 🏠 my family loves him🙃😊
Went to his show a few years ago , I was expecting a so-so aging rocker half-ass corny 70’s throwback show...I was wrong , Alice and his band put on a show which I can honestly say was in the top five concerts I’ve ever been to , high energy , spirited , highly visual performance. Had me and the entire venue on our feet cheering ,clapping and smiling the entire show. Sometimes it’s great to be wrong , this was one of those times , will definitely see him again!
Alice has no need to retire he opened for Motley Crue as a gesture of kindness but in reality the old man destroyed them every night like a lamb to the slaughter. Alice will out live us all
Absolutely! He ran circles around them.
really wolff?? didn't get to see that your. heard both bands were great.. your saying. Alice. blew motley off the stage most nites??. that says a lot. motley . even when Vince has been out of shape..puts on a very decent show..hmmm. do tell.
I've seen him and his band open for Motley Crue, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, and he was easily better than all except maybe Maiden, but they're obviously one of the most legendary bands of all time so I'll give Alice a pass on that one
I was about to post the same thing. Saw Alice opening for Mötley Crüe during their farewell tour, and he stole the show, no question about it.
@BKD Vickers "And Alice KNOWS his band performed better than Motley Crue"
I strongly suspect that Alice doesn't see it as a competition.
Why is it because you people are a fan of one guy you have to big him up at the expense of others?
Isn't it that Alice and the Crue both enjoyed putting on a great show together?
he smiles so much when he talks about his family it's great
Alice is right. While in the mid and late 90's, it was a tough time for classic hard rockers, Alice endured and now the crowds are on the rise again. Alice is still a great live act and still great in the studio. Part of what helps to is he keeps a younger, fresh, energetic band backing him up and Alice still has a ton of energy. The greatest ever in my opinion.
Alice Cooper, wow! an absolute legend and yet so humble, relaxed and down to earth. I am now 59 and remember lying on my bed with headphones at 16 years of age in South Africa listening to billion dollar babies, and still listen today... regularly. This guy is just something else, such a true gentleman and yet a rock legend with no equal. Nothing but respect for you Sir.
Alice will never be in chains \m/
"We Die Young" doesn't describe Alice Cooper at all. Neither "Man in the Box".
Vetleks In a Nutshell, yeah
I see what you people did there, the thing about Alice is not a Junkhead, he's never been Down In a Hole.
Alice believes in God - it is the REAL THING, he made the RIGHT TURN. He had NO EXCUSES. Would you like to receive Jesus too? You would have heaven beside you then.
He'll be in the straightjacket
I became an Alice Cooper fan because I first saw him in Wayne's World (1 or 2 I really can't remember) when he performed Feed My Frankenstein. Been an Alice Cooper fan ever since.
Bought my first Alice Cooper lp when i was 14 - From The Inside
still listen today im now 55 😊👍
Alice is the sweetest, most down to earth guy in rock and roll! How can you not like this gentleman!
Nita Strauss is so cool and real. I love her in Alice's shows!
Alice Cooper is the greatest! I love his shows, his albums, and HIM!! rock on
Anatoly Garbanzo Check out "raised your fist and yell" if you have never heard it it's a killer album by Alice Cooper.
Patrick Shannon thanks for the suggestion, brother! cheers
+++
Imagine Alice Cooper is your grandfather and he's going to read you a bed time story...
Score!!!!
That would be great
That’s called Alice Cooper Goes To Hell.
I would be scared. Probably not sleep that night
lol
Met Alice Cooper way back in 2000 at one of his haunted houses. He pulled us out of line to sign autographs and stopped to talk about his tour his and his players. Great dude!
i just love the fact that he's like ''yeah... im gonna keep on going, cause number one: no stress, number two: i still have amazing band members and three: im still having fun'' this shows that aslong as you dont get stressed out doing it, you can keep on going
I've seen Alice Cooper live. Nita is phenomenal!!
Of course there's no stress...he's done all, been all, achieved all...what's left? He's got nothing left to prove. The guy is magic... humble, talented, devoted and still just wants to have fun. What more could you ask for?
We as a species do not deserve Alice Cooper
But, we're all clones.
we're not worthy
We as a species most certainly do deserve Alice Cooper. What we don't deserve is Donald Trump.
@@tonyb9735 You got Biden, and illegal immigrants pouring into America by the thousands. Happy now?
the true living legend...respect...
He makes a really good point about reducing stress. Such a gracious fellow.
Saw them at Copenhell a couple years back. You can tell that they like being on stage. And you can tell they actually like being around each other. That is important, and the show was amazing!
To think this guy’s been killing it since thr early 70s! Damn.
Yes I also saw him open for Crue in 2014 - and as said by others - he crushed them. His show is incredible and it's great he has retained all the old theatrics with the guillotine etc
Alice Cooper is such a legend. He still tours like a young artist who needs to, who really doesn’t need to at all and kicks ass every time.
In 6 months I got to see the Vampires and Alice with his band. The Vampires were a blast. It was surreal to see three legends in their own right having a good time making classic music. Alice's show is in a league of its own. Jaw dropping. Every member of the band is a master. I will remember that show for the rest of my life. Stay healthy, Alice. We need you around for a long time! Love and respect.
Alice Cooper is an amazing individual. Always positive, healthy, loves life, works hard and loves performing, no drama. Just a great guy.
now i know the reason why musicians love to be with his band, because he's the type of superstar who respects people around him instead of bossing them around.
I'm excited to listen the Wikipedia fact or fiction with this guy, I think it will be really funny
Alice likely is the most interesting man in the world.
Saw Alice at SIUE in 1977, I was 18. Still play your stuff often. Thanks for the memories !
Why should he retire when he has such a lot of music to share -a great show -and an audience?
The man LIVES to put on shows and to be on stage and rock out...that and to play golf of course, LOL!
It amazes me that he performs at such a high level still. I just saw him this month and he show was *incredible* !
I was lucky enough to see Alice live for the first time last Oct at the Mother Of All festival in Monterrey Mexico. They put on an amazing show, all the stops pulled out and he is dead right about Nita. She was brilliant!
You can see he is genuinely happy in his life. Musicians should look up to these guys.
Alice Cooper is the man.
That's right.
The greatest hard rocker of all-time and he still get it done live and in the studio.
She asked me why the singer’s name was Alice and I said listen baby you really wouldn’t understand.
'Cause he used to dress up in women's clothes, but America couldn't deal with that, so he turned to murder and mayhem, which was highly successful.
@@deaddoll1361 told her that I came from Detroit City
And I played guitar in a long haired rock and roll band
Alice Cooper was a 17th century witch and he used it as a gimmick.
Well the singer is really called Vincent Damon Furnier and he was in the Alice Cooper band. Later people started calling him Alice Cooper, but it isn't his real name
MasterWitchDoctor Alice himself said its a rumor that is untrue and has perpetuated itself over the years. He said that Alice Cooper sounded wholesome and all American which is what he wanted as a sharp contrast to the character he plays on stage. But the whole witch thing is false according to Alice himself.
Alice is one 1st class gentleman. He has both character & integrity.
HV tour was exactly as he describes: no stress, a lot of fun, no need to do it, but a lot of joy doing it. Awesome tour! You could see and feel, Alice has arrived home. :-)
What a genuine rock idol. :) Someone I can admire both for his work and his personality - I mean, I know it's an interview and whatever, but he just comes across as a truly down to Earth person. And I love how his band enjoys themselves. No stress... that's the key. Find something you love to do and get someone to pay you for it.
Thats probably why the show is so good. Everyone is in it because they want to be and have fun with it. They're all about the show and not their own personal gain.
Does this guy know how to party or what?
Hr knows when to stop before it kills him .
+Shane Kemp
He has cut it really close though. I'm glad he figured it out.
Alice Cooper Forever!
Excellent!
He knows how NOT to party, yet have every minute be the time of everybody's life....
I fucking love Alice, it will be my second time seeing Hollywood Vampires this summer 🤘🏻
Alice Cooper and Nita Strauss forever!!!!!
love him or hate him...the Man is an exceptional artist and entertainer/ storyteller..groundbreaking musical artist.
My very first album was a K-Tel compilation album that had Alice Cooper's "Only Women Bleed" and Edgar Winter Group's "Frankenstein" on it.....I've been a Cooper fan ever since. ...that was in 72, and I was a ancient 5 years old! Alice Cooper Forever!
Impalaman1968 I became a fan of him when I first saw Wayne's world lol. I was like 8 yrs old I believe when it came out.
Seen Alice last weekend. He was incredible!
Hail Alice Cooper!🤘
LIVING LEGEND HE STILL PUTS ON AMAZING SHOWS AT AGE 70 UNREAL!
Yes he does, I just seen him in October w/ Ace & I'm slightly obsessed now & hoping to see him 1 more time in February on his short winter tour, he's AWESOME
Saw him with Ace F, and honestly couldn't wait for Ace and his band to finish their set...
never saw Alice. on my bucket list. what a performer. the vampires..even though they are some alpha males..in vampires. they all generally all like one another. it's not like everyone is trying to make a name for himself. their all superstars in their own rite. it's just a fun jamming band. having a blast. no egos..just having fun. Joe perry..looks back in shape..after his heart scare. God bless you Joseph.
Saw Alice opening for Mötley Crüe during their farewell tour. He totally stole the show.
Alice Cooper in Wonderland.
that needs to be a damn movie
THORBALD THE BLOODTHIRSTY
That's right. He has been an artist and also a stage character over so many decades and he has been one of the most influential artists for stage shows. I really hope we would get a movie about him.
This guy is The Master . I have seen him many times and took my sister to see him last year with Ace Frehley and all who see him say the same thing . The Man who looks like his character and has nothing to prove. Nita is a far better fit than Orinathi ( Bon Jovi = Yoko Ono ). The last tour was great and love Alice as does most of the world!
The best part of seeing Alice live, is that he doesn't have to do this for a living...he's got plenty of dough, so it doesn't come across as just him going through the motions because it's his job. He does it because he truly loves it, so as a consequence he puts on great shows.
Not to mention, that I think he also loves playing all the different golf courses, around the world. 👍👍👍
@@TheKatana11 He is a stayer . He was not cool for a period but he knew how and when to stay in the game . His golfing prowess is well known and he has a radio show and had a restaurant and even other rockers jump at the chance to play on his albums ( Billy Gibbons, Larry Mullen) .
Can't get my head around the fact that the rockers whom we idolised as "evil" in our teenage are actually family oriented extra nice dudes. You won't fool me next life Mr Alice Poison Cooper
The best show I’ve ever seen! It changed by outlook. I thought rock was on its final leg than I went and saw the show in Topeka last night, you just got to know where to look!
I attended/viewed a show, nitas side within the stage, approx 20' from the stage. One of the best choices alice made was to involve this young highly consistent lady. She is a stage wide handful, in a good way, meant with sence of humor. Post show 120-minutes within play, fatigued, with a much needed brake she placed her believers first, signed auto-graphs. Thanked all that attended as well. I also viewed her in July/2012 with the maiden girls, same nita gratitude within that particular show. Her voice is very good also, tone that only females have which is helpful with back-up vocals for fullness towards Alice's take off's. Nita is mobile, also stationary, but her thorough guitar skills never fall during this process. Very difficult to locate a guitarist that has both categorys, only 1/2 dozen worldwide. Nita being one within them, KK-Downing another that is extraordinary being mobile/stationary. Thorough within both. Takes massive practice, nita places much work within her own time, it's very obvious when you view her live.
He looks good for 70 god dame
He looks much better than he did in the early '80s too, when he was drinking a couple of bottles of booze a day and smoking vast amounts of crack and not eating.
Dude. 70, not 90. Many people look more than good at 70. The issue is not his age, the issue is if he should be doing shows at that age, because you know, well, hes done enough already. But clearly unlike other stars he had the wisdom to have the feet on ground.
this is what happens when you dont do drugs or drink alcohol
Really?! He looks pretty haggard to me...
He looks absolutely terrible u have to be lying
she's a amazing guitar player
Need a Hollywood Vampires tour!!! Saw Alice twice, I want my 3rd to be Hollywood Vampires
#1 showman. Alice Cooper rocking the world is a wonderful thing
The crowd justifiably lost their collective stuff when he hit the stage for the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar"! He is awesome.
Seen him in at the Manchester a o arena at the weekend, 74 year old ,the show was Brilliant
I saw Ozzy during his farewell tour in 1992.
Me too.
Hahaha, he certainly likes the farewells.
+Stefan Sjöberg
LOL! Yep..he's done a few of them now.
9 out of 10 times it's marketing... - I wonder if Slayer will stay gone. - I mean, no they won't, because they'll get bored and they won't know what to do with themselves, like every performing artist... It's all they know, it's all they've done, and they'll just do a "comeback" when it's most profitable.
+Michael Angelo H.
Sad but true...so many bands have done "farewell" tours only to get back together, that you always have to take the initial retirement news with a grain of salt. Money is a powerful thing to turn down.
Lotta love for Alice Cooper Ive seen this guy seven times. The guy has finely honed his craft and he puts on a fucking great show.
I love Alice to death, almost more than he loves the dead. He’s such a great guy that every rock star should admire. The interviewer is great too. He doesn’t interrupt and asks great questions
Back in the early 70s I came of age with Love it to death listening to "I'm Eighteen." We all believed eventually the rock scene in all its glory would die out just like Jethro Tull sang, "Too Old to Rock n' Roll - Too Young To Die). And so I envisioned we'd be sitting around one day all old and decrepit loosing our hair, muttering about how today's music sucks and reminiscing over great bands like Sabbath and Alice Cooper. I fully expected Alice to hang up his snake decades ago, but 50 years later at age 71, he's still going strong as ever and I'm hearing the millennial generation complain how today's pop music sucks, ...and I'm just politely agreeing. It's all ass backwards from what we expected! Leaves me speechless... but happy!
Amazingly humble talented guy.
So excited to see him at NC Supercon, odd but he’s going😂😂😂
Going to see him in August.
Wyatt Birdwell just saw him a few days ago it was a great show
I saw him a few days ago best concert I've ever been to

Love this interview, long live Alice, he is certainly a class act!!!!
Saw cooper a few days ago he is still puts on the best shows I have ever seen
The reviewer is a nut asking tasteless questions.Nice to hear mr Cooper replies. He is a gentleman with the best head in the bussiness for decades.Always a pleasure listening his thoughs.Long life Alice Cooper, enjoy yourself!
He is so warm and nice person
Love that guy, can’t believe he looks exactly the same as he did on the Poison video!
its actually pronounced "milawaukee"
Algonquin for 'the good land' ;)
This guy know how to party or what?
Kasey Carling We are not WORTHY of your comment. ;)
Lessons from Alice Cooper.
HES SO COOL \SO NICE
I would like to see here in Shreveport in May!❤❤❤❤❤
Well Vince, this is what we all hope for. You are one of the few who can say that. Living the rock star Legend life, you are on top. Will there be more as lucky as you?
this man seems to be quite genuine. For a man of this much fame and celebrity status, a rock LEGEND, Alice Cooper is ... down to earth?
Nita Syrauss keeps the show on the road.... but remember in the old day's every person was scared to be in front of the stage...Alice stabbing swords on the stage..
Love you Coup. You're the absolute best.
I used to know him,for a long time. He's still a sweetheart.
Coop man, nuff said.
I’ve got to admit he is amazing xx
Just love this guy!
Gives a new meaning to "Living next door to Alice"
Alice is magnificent. Good golfer too. Welcome from us in South Australia from your gigs :)
I love that he has a daughter named Calico that's such a pretty name.
She had a cameo in Rob Zombies Halloween but they cut it out☹
Alice cooper is so awsome annd i love him!
Alice cooper is the greatest guy i rock music i just love him!
Great choice of bar band tunes!
I have seen you well to many times but I need to see you all more please let me know when your near NY I miss you
There is something more genuinely down to Earth about an artist or musician that just keeps on going with their music than say musicians like Kiss or Ozzy Osbourne threatening retirement just as marketing ploys to get more fans to come to their concerts while Alice Cooper just keeps on going as it's his lifeblood because the guy just is a rock-musician and nothing else really.
I mean look at John Lee Hooker or Charlie Daniels they never even retired until the days they left this Earth for the afterlife and even then they are still performing for all eternity up in Heaven. Even Slayer will probably decide to come back eventually.
Last but not least don't forget Motley Crue who came back three years after their supposedly last concert ever and they are touring yet again since then in 2018 I believe it was they came out with another album and clearly Aerosmith won't quit playing until the day they leave this Earth too.
I wish The Hollywood Vampires would tour more
Love you Alice see youin Sweden next time....keep going strong loveyou
