@@Brooks.Conkle thanks! There's a decent size community of Christmas podcasters. It's tricky, there's some different barriers that a more traditional podcast theme.
You confirmed what I was considering, thank you. The primary reason I want to switch is the Facebook group and TH-cam videos. I get a sense that their customer support is very strong. QUESTION: If I switch from Libsyn to Buzzsprout and keep both for one month, which feed does the platform pull from if it is attached to two platforms?
Yep, having both for a month is what I'd recommend. If listeners go to the old RSS feed, it will forward to the new and then their player will have the correct link automatically. If your listeners listen less often, maybe you'd want to overlap services for 2 months just in case? I did a 30 day overlap and felt good about it. Good luck!
Hey David, on what? Buzzsprout? I'm still using today for 2 different podcasts. Still love them. You have a podcast already or are you looking to start one?

Brooks, very informative! Considering the switch for my interview podcast. What do you think of the mastering and transcription services with BuzzSprout?
Hey Brendan. Who would you be switching from? Also Libsyn? If so, I'd for sure say go for it. Mastering is solid. Not sure about the transcription. But just got message this past week about some excitement around a new feature. Something about being able to add sponsors on previously uploaded episodes. Interesting stuff!
@@Brooks.Conkle Wow! Yes, considering dropping LibSyn and it sounds like you see BuzzSprout as being quicker to adapt to the needs of creators. Thanks for sharing
I dont like buzzsprout due to the fact that the more episodes you post the less downloads you will get. 250 gb downloads is not alot when you have 100 's of episodes that are good and get downloaded alot. Buzz sprout will block the downloads. So the number one thing we are all trying to do is get a lot of downloads, so the minute you make it you will either have to delete old episodes so they dont take from your monthly downloads. Therefore they are banking on you not making it or you will pay if you do make it. they base their plans on the 80% of people that will not get alot of downloads each month.
On top of upload limits, Buzzsprout also imposes a 250GB/month bandwidth limit. This limits the number of people who can listen to your episodes. If you run out of bandwidth in a given month, listeners may not be able to download or listen to your latest content.
That’s why I like an unlimited download plan with Libsyn or other carriers. That way when I do get a good following I won’t have to move everything off the platform when I have 100’s of episodes being downloaded and not enough GB to allow my followers to download. It’s all in one bucket to so not a separate thing so if people are still finding old episodes for first time it’s across the whole board

I launched our podcast with Libsyn in May 2022. Now considering options.

Don't think so. Stats would start fresh with BuzzSprout from that point. You would need to download or save the historical stats if you wanted.
