Great video Clay!! Great explanation of all the amazing details! Very nice and smooth flight!!
great flight!
Fun to watch the team pilots do their thing.
Nice job Clay!!
Yeah, thanks Clay! Appreciate the demo.
How thick is the wall of the main shaft? The xl power runs a 15mm main shaft too, but it’s a very thin wall, and is overly sensitive to uneven tightening of the pinch bolts on the head block and I’m convinced flexes under certain loads. Hoping this one is better.
Me likey!!!
John, you should make it out to IRCHA if you can. Lots of excellent flying like this!
I've been told. Indiana right?
@@RCVideoReviews Yes. Muncie. Usually around the second week of August
waiting for buddy to have a lime one in stock!
They had one at JN :|
Nice job Clay... come on camera man keep up lol.
I know. I need to suck less. Clay had me twitchy after that flight. :)
lol… When ever the head speed is cranked up got to be ready for those quick direction changes stay a lttle zoomed out and it will help. Once you video the same pilot a few times you will get to the point where you understand their style and can predict/anticipate where they are going.
Most will not understand just how hard it is until they try doing the videoing of a good 3D Heli pilot. 80mph in on direction and in Less than a second 80 in any other direction.
It's a real balancing act with helis. I've done a bit of filming at Torch's Winter Bash and at my own field chasing Fred around. You gotta keep it zoomed out enough to account for the quick change AND keep it zoomed in enough to try and make the heli more than a black blob on the screen. I agree on the familiarity bit though, I can usually predict what Fred's going to do.
