Hold ctrl and right click the target of the IFF while having one of your units selected, then hit the request ident. Be careful who sends it tho, usually best for an AWACS to do it since it gives ur position away.
My parents got me a Sega Genesis at a garage sale long after it was obsolete and one of the games it came with was Jungle Strike. I used to play that game so much but as a kid was terrible at it. So, I would just go around blowing up the whole city. Would probably be much more competent now. Desert Strike appears to have been made exclusively for consumer purchase, but I always thought that franchise would work good as cabinet games. I know a number of Genesis games started out that way in the early 90s and got ported to the console.
@TheAnnoyingF2P Jungle strike was my favorite! I spent an insane amount of pocket money renting it from the local VHS store. I probably could have owned the game 3 or 4 times 🤣. I loved just blowing up Washington DC. Although the missions where you could other find vehicles like a hovercraft stealth bomber were great!
@@CmdrTyrael Yeah, pretty sure that was the game that taught me hovercraft are actually real as a kid and not just in sci-fi. Not exactly a common naval asset.
I'm looking forward to some work being done with the AI. After the attack on the first ship all others should have gone into attack mode. Except the one with the dictator onboard. That would probably have tried to flee. But overall an excellent early release game! I enjoy watching you play through the available missions.
@sedatedape315 I recently heard from the devs. Im satisfied that if they implement the AI planned then. The game will be pretty dynamic. With a few layers of AI from unit level to "commander" level.
Can confirm, I spent A LOT of time taking cool screenshots. I even made a massive NATO battlegroup in the mission editor JUST for the purpose of taking screenshots 😂
I got up and bought it 1st thing on the 12th played all day, then had hand surgery on the next. I've been living off channels like your's until I can use my hand again. Thanks for the good content. Keep up the good fight.
The Iranians honestly have a bunch of interesting toys available to them, and in a unique variety of them, too. I've always wondered if the US delivered those Kidd class DDGs to Iran before the 1979 Revolution, that would've made them a serious force in the Persian Gulf.
if you're looking for some fun units to play with, i've made some frankly overpowered F-15s on an aussie nimitz. if you want, I can get in contact with you and hand over the files. great video too :)
@shakaman022 I've spoken to devs and have been informed of the situation. They have the framework for an in-depth AI system ready to be implemented. A set of behaviours determined by unit mission and a over arching "commander" AI to delegate tasks. It may be early access but The game is far from "shit"
Watching this at 8am in the UK, listening to a drunken Aussie talking about rave rounds. All is right with the world.
Nothing says “good morning” quite like a tipsy Aussie! Cheers to your early morning adventures!
Launching missiles at an unknown target is big balls stuff.
I had been thinking of trying to recreate various Ace Combat missions in this but this is even better! Deser Strike is a true classic!
As soon as I saw the chopper mission, it's all I could think about!! I was obsessed with those games 🤣
I kinda want to put together a massive furball mission, like 50 units per side, and see what happens, but I am scared of what it will do to my comp
only one way to find out hahaha

That's pretty slick! Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the tip, now I don't have to wait 30 minutes to id that random merchant ship, if ever
The XCOM soundtrack as well is just 👌 *chef's kiss

thanks mate! I'll keep putting in the effort!

Good thinking, I'll give that a go!
this is so cool

I'd love to try them out, mate! Thanks for the offer.
You can only guide one phoenix at a time. If you launch another, the first one will explode. You have to wait until it's in the terminal homing phase.
@CharliMorganMusic Thanks Charli 🫡

How do they move the helicopters with skids

Hello
Hey Mate! o7
Mission editor is janky and needs a good amount of work arounds
people are taking screen shots because the ai is so shit no one wants to waste their time on the actual game
@@shakaman022 you seem quiet mad good sir
