Bishop Barron is the one I would not follow in danger. He is very comfortable in not calling out the wrongs. Rather accommodate than fight. To me he lacks manhood…my opinion.
I don’t think every public face of Catholicism needs to or should point out the issues in the Church for all to hear. It should happen but Bishop Barron does more good in reaching out to the nones by not harping on the Church’s highest figure
I know it’s not “apologetics”. My current parish has decided to use our church for school pageants because he thinks that will help convert Protestants. They aren’t even going to remove Jesus. Catholics tried similar things in 1571 and 1749 during Holy Week. The Popes in those times wrote strongly against such things. They tried it again before VII and the Pope wrote saying bands are not allowed inside the church. Not to mention that Protestants have tried this over and over again. They double down many times making their worship area into stages. At what point de we look at them and realize that these gimmicks don’t work long term?
Good show, good topic, good co-presenters. Priovidentially, I was listening to Nick's presentation on the Roman Catechism last night, and the subject of fortitude was treated... with its integral parts of magnanimity, munificence, patience and endurance... Magnanimity being **directly** opposed to effeminacy. I love the precision of St. Thomas - he shines a light on all the things that I have overlooked in my own soul and answers the questions that modern, real-believing non-trad sources simply will not answer. The effeminacy of presenters is sonething I've thought about, off and on, for a long time. It seems like you really have to look and look carefully for something good to watch or listen to in this genre without a click-bait title or an unapologetically (pun intended) "spicy" presentation thats gonna' get you to take some stupid colored pill or commit to being "based," or whatever. Yet, goodness, truth and beauty don't sell. At least not well enough. That really says something about each of us as audience members, does t it? Want me to watch? Throw in the name of a retired papal nuncio/excommunicated archbishop! That'll get us watching! Or respond to something that a catholuc convert-turned- doctoral candidate said about you, etc etc. Nick put out something not yoo long ago about how he would *not* do that kind of thing and, as the Brits say, "Good on 'im!" That said, how can you possibly be as discerning as you should be and turn apologetics into something you rely on to support your family? I dont think you can. Eventually, you've got to make deals you shouldnt make. This is something I've thought of a lot more since being cancelled as a traditional catholic healthcare worker during the worldwide sickness. Anyway. Thanks for addressing the topic.
You're warning against some real dangers, but most of us make selective use of the work of internet apologists, in order to understand how to defend the faith on issues like justification, Sola Scriptura, the Sacrifice of the Mass, Jehovah's Witnesses. It's not about mudslinging but real issues and about helping Catholics oppose anti-Catholic proselytism and propaganda.
I read it was anathematized but that was like 800 years ago or something. Can Catholics duel then do you know? I can see the valor in it but also the Barbary.
The pleasure of thinking you are Catholic, and that what is called the Catholic Church is so,Instaed of the suffering that a True Catholic hierarchy can not teach errors such as other religions are valid, and or,participating in them. The Catholic Church can not also say it is ok for ‘Jews’ to say that Shiloh-King Messiah did not come yet. IT IS Suffering seeing that was is called the Catholic Church, can not be based on True Catholic Principles, and thus being alone.(I do not see the brother being right that thee antichrist cam already fooling only some trads and dying of old age in comfort! It is suffering.unlesss you hate even yourself and those calling themselves Catholic accepting false teachings/teachers…
Just one article of Faith not adhered to,one is not Catholic as taught by the True Catholic hierarchy and theologians like Aquinas. And yet,the “trads” make out they are Catholic,by calling Catholic a False hierarchy with heads like Montini,Wojtyla,Ratzinger and Bergolio. They have all written praising other religions, partaking in them;saying it is ok for ‘Jews’ to say Jesus the Messiah did not come yet. These are worse sins than if they had child sacrifices and sodomy and wrote praising them. Aquinas points out the grades of sin against Truth Themselves. So how are you Catholic? Not by thinking so;not even if there are a billion like you.
Physician heal thyself. Are you doing a video criticizing everybody else, arguing that they should go to people one on one? What’s wrong with this picture? Publicly accusing other men of effeminacy is effeminate.
Gossip is effeminate.
Juicy. Spicy. Words in a title or in the first thirty seconds of a presentation that immediately result in me hitting the stop button and moving on.
St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us.🙏

But he is reputed to be surrounded by a staff of musclemen - ahem.

Video starts at 1:09. You're welcome.
But the intro was really worthy! 😁

Not every place is for everyone. Sounds like the You tube kitchen may be too hot for Mr. Hall. Find better arguments.
