Thanks for this video! I've been confused about how to power the Distributor LED lights and this video answered the question with multiple answers (BMS, Shunt, standalone wiring).

Great video. I went to your web site looking for the power-in shim, but couldn’t find it. Do you still sell it?

Hello and good for the video
I wanted to ask you if it is possible to install the bms from victron (16S for a packlife that I have in 48 volts? 600AH)?
or do you have to have a victron battery?
my batteries are EVE 280AH in 16/2P
can we wire all the batteries with the bms from victron or do we need a bms compatible with the victron?
otherwise is it possible if there is no can in the battery pack to tell victron (multiplus and cerbo GX) that I have a lead gel battery pack?
there is no bms on the lead in general?
my pack can be protected by its own BMS cutoff 2.80 volts and maximum charge at 3.65 volts Possibly just to emit more or less on the multiplus?
    thank you
    laurent

Hi, Victron BMSs only work with Victron batteries and vice versa.

Hello. In the case of 8 lithium batteries 100 amps each, total 800 amps, what would be the recommended BMS? 500 or 1000? I would also need 2x Distributors for the batteries, right?
Is it possible to use the M8 distributors with the BMS 1000 (M10)? thanks !!

How are they connected this is just an ex example but if you have five batteries where they are 12 V that’s a lot different to a battery pack in that case I’m going to assume that these are or individual batteries that you’re using use a class t power in and you should get a shout rated appropriately. If your system will not use the power from the batteries put in smaller fuses for the battery and the shunt

Hi, the number of batteries not affect the choice of amperage of the BMS. This has more to do with your loads and charging sources. We recommend not using distributors to combine lithium batteries as they do not meet the fuse requirements. Feel free to give us a call or email in and we would be happy to assist!

@@Artekenergy I didn't understand your comment about the lithium batteries connected to the Distributor.
I'm connecting the batteries like this: two at each distributor door adding 200 amps per door with 250 amp fuses in each door. Could you tell me if this is correct?

@@mkexpeditions Hi, while this might meet the amperage for your cable (although not specified), it does not meet many regulations for overcurrent protection for lithium batteries due to the limitations of Mega-Fuses. Feel free to shoot us an email and we can go more in depth!

Get rid of the background music. It makes it harder to hear the speaker.
