So...I've thought about and discussed this topic endlessly of why regular, run of the mill stuff sells for some and not others, and I think it boils down to 3 factors:
1) people who sell a brand well understand the buyer and their titles just show up more in search
2) they're pricing either at or below market and have fast shipping
And this is pure conjecture...but...
3) I really believe that EBay kinda picks your bread and butter brands based on your success with them
If you sell lots of regular little pony polos, price competitively, and have fast shipping and few returns, I think the algorithm "decides" that you understand people who buy little pony polos well and "scores" you as a good seller of that.

Thank you so much! And I agree with all of those points completely…very well said. Since we’re relatively new to reselling, we’re playing it safe and calculated with how we navigate Polo RL since our sales experience is limited and the algorithm probably doesn’t know we exist. 😜

I recently picked up a brand new, with tags, Ralph Lauren Polo Polar Bear Ralph's Coffee Hoodie Men's Size XS. Had a MSRP tag of $168.00, I only paid $10 for it,& sold it on ebay in less than 2 days for $80 !!!

Great video! Thanks for all the information. A few weeks ago I found an RLX 1/4 zip, tried to comp it out at the store but nothing came up so I passed. I could tell it was quality but Izod 1/4 zips feel like quality too. Now I now 😊. I have a Lauren Ralph Lauren green label 100% wool blazer that has been sitting for about 4 months. Now I look up everything before buying even if a good label.

I’ve never sourced an unbranded item in any category. That’s a little risky because people search for certain brands and an unbranded item could get lost in the shuffle. We try to check every item before sourcing it especially if we’re unfamiliar with the brand.

This is a great video! One thing I noticed is some of the prices you say the item sold for have a line through it. That usually means you accepted a lower price.
I don't know why but EBay showed those comps like that but we sold all those items for what we said they sold for. Don't know why EBay did that🤦🏼♀️

I don't understand something . For example on the Robin jeans. You said you got an offer for $100 which you accepted but in the picture the $100 is crossed out. I thought that means that it's listed at $100 but a lower offer was accepted. If not, what does that mean? I sell mostly on Poshmark so not sure of everything on ebay.
Yes typically that's what it means. eBay messed up on our sold comps. No clue why.🤦🏼♀️ But we sold everything for what we said they sold for. Sorry for the confusion.
I recently found a pair of Black Label Ralph Lauren Jeans but they were marked up to $20. I didn't grab them, thought that was too high but I don't know, would you have got them?
I haven’t seen any RL Black Label in the thrift but from what I’ve studied on it and their jeans, that was probably still a pickup even at $20. Some of their jeans like wax or moto or tactical go for anywhere from $50 to $200.
