    Maybe they're not, but in regards to hero shooter games and live service ones. They don't have that much experience (most of their games are single player/local). It's also extremely rare to find FPS games made in Japan. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt (a bit) that the game will steadily improve .

    I think that the dev teams for NamDai are split unevenly, both in resources and manpower, which is why we have situations like this. Imagine how it feels to be told to compete with Overwatch, but with (at a guess) 20% of the resources because most of it is going towards DLC for current single-player games or development of future titles.
    This sort of game is actually EXTREMELY outside of my wheelhouse, but I really want to see it succeed (and thankfully, given that a number of VTubers such as Botan from Hololive JP and Axel from HoloStars EN have been playing it, it's been getting a fair bit of exposure).

      No matter who plays the game it just isn’t enough exposure. You’d need like 10 massive streamers to be consistently playing for it to be a decent advertisement amount

    Today i learned that Bandai Namco was part of the development team for Elden Ring and is actually AAA. That being said, they are notorious for not taking good things far enough and poor advertising.
    Here's hoping they learned from making Elden Ring.

      i think bandai is only acting as publisher and not part of development team and i think they only providing the server for eldenring even when eldenring server was overloaded they use darksoul server for placeholder it's like entirely on fromsoft, and the name George R. R. Martin kinda help the the entire advertising

    bandai is a triple A company but has the indie mindset..... the workers are talented and hard working (overworked) but the pay is indie and funds are indie.... very scummy....

    Def not an indie studio lmao, but I still call Bandai division stuff "small studios" when you look at BO2, GPGW, and GE. They ALL look like mobile games, the graphics are not this decade (which isn't super important either), etc.
    Especially as a Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune diehard, The Namco side of things is notorious for putting community managers in place who just cease to exist shortly after a launch. General lack of support and all sorts of typical "Japanese business" stubbornness.
    Generally anything competitive from Bandai Namco outside of fighters, usually is a disaster or has a lot of rough edges.
    So the fact that there's all sorts of cheeky stuff in GunEvo AND there's fast turnaround of reactions from the studio for updates and acknowledging things (The Japanese dev blog updates more than NA) Seems like the teams/internal studio handling this not only has the capability, but they're dedicated AF. So hopefully that means they get the budget they need to dig in for the long haul.
    I know people complained about the console delay, but it really feels like they're doing everything in stages for solid reasons and not like pulling a 343 on us :/ lmao

      I think they had to rush the game to beat out ow2 for release tine. And pulled resources from the console version to be ready for it. I’m hoping we get a big marketing push when the console version releases

      @@Dunmuir Yeah, but I'm surprised there wasn't a tie in with Witch from Mercury (although I'm pretty sure that's the art studio for Recognista in G 🤢) or skins for the MSG: Cucuruz Doan's Island, etc
      Along with a tie in page to Gunpla or P Bandai, etc.
      Things that can come later, but a good sign is a lot of the pod elements remind me of GBGW which has long haul support.
      I voted with my wallet to make up for people thinking everything in the game should be free :P

    Zeku Melee needs some nerfs for real, like again he should not be able to pierce through shields with the wave slash, he knocks away shields already with the charge. Let the piercing be a thing for Rage Mode as a reward and I already stated nerfs needed to the ult

    All the melees in this game need serious nerfs as well as tanks like Sazabi needing buffs. The state of the game right now for me is just so bad like I try to get on to play and either it's toxic as fuck people or you're getting rofl stomped by a 3 melee team.

      Melees need no one shots, no stuns through shields, and should definitely not have as much movement as they do

    Any tips on how to counter zaku melee ?

      Don’t shoot him when he’s using survive and stun him when he’s using spin to win. That’s it.
      His melee is weak when not raging. His ranged attack hits for 300 but that had a 9 second cooldown or something. His charge hits for a little but but that’s on a 7second cooldown. Just focus him down and he falls over.
      He relies heavily on the enemy shooting him when he wants. Enemies stacking up for his ranged attack and a good team to back him up/monopolise on his aggressiveness

      Just gotta pump damage into it when it shows up and if it’s hasn’t used it’s ultimate in a fight or two it’s definitely looking for it so save any stuns for it

    They aren't triple A till you can have higher than 120 fps

      That doesn't define the ranking, but the frame cap is either:
      1) The same cap as consoles have and this is Bandai Namco, which if you play the fighters there's a reason why everything comp has a frame cap.
      2) It might be there for a season or 2 while they tinker with stuff.

    This game is luck based to me now, either bad match up or slow connection when the enemy dashes something goes wrong with the dmg confirm even if your clearly hitting them.
