I actually think Mike Smith does a really good job on this song.....he plays it the closest to the original then any of the other drummers that came along....hes knows what the vibe is in this song
That gtr solo. My lord is it genius. The solo from dancers to a discordant system I only slightly like more but I've listen to meshuggah for a while now and they have a special spot in my heart. By far suffocation is the best death metal band. So many good albums and songs. One band I could just put the whole discography and enjoy every second of it.

Seems like he is hitting on the upstrokes too, but kinda hard to tell without knowing how to play this song. Terrance's picking technique is fucking insane
Immolation has the better songs and albums but they will never touch Suffocation in terms of quality of live performance (clarity, tightness, nuance, dynamism).
