Catfish Fishing | Lake of the Ozarks

- In this episode of In Depth Angling we fish for channel and blue catfish at Lake of the Ozarks, located in Missouri. I catch several nice sized blue catfish in the video on cut shad and live bluegill near deep water using a three way rig to catch the catfish from the bottom of the lake. I'm 75 years old and when I was just 10 or so that was the roller skate I used as a kid.
The fiddler blues are pretty good. The big one's not so much!!
Also, are u allowed to use catfish and crappie as bait on Lake of the Ozarks?
No crappie and catfish can't be used as bait in the state of Missouri on public water they are considered game fish and no game fish can be used for bait. There is a list of non gamefish that can be used as bait on the Missouri department of conservation website or you can find it in a updated fishing regulations book at just about any store that sells fishing licenses. Bluegill and shad are good on the lake and legal to use
