A 5th grade reporter asked Joe Biden "What a does a VP do?" during an interview on
Sept. 2, 2008 in Palm Beach County, FL. Biden answered with a response that could be understood by all of the students at KEC/Canal Point Elementary.
Rest in peace, Damon. You managed more than most in your short 23 years.

This kid's gonna be a legendary reporter someday. Hope youtube will still be around, then I can look back at this vid to remember the small kid that was new to news before he ascended.

I am a public radio reporter in Nashville, TN. Damon, I think you did a fantastic job. I know how tricky it can be to hold the mic at just the right place, but you got great sound from Sen. Biden-not easy given the difference in height! The camera work is fantastic, too (sorry I'm not sure of the camera operator's name). You guys are off to a great start and could have a real career in news if you wanted. Keep up the good work!

That's what makes Damon so great is that he is just a regular kid. Biden was the first person he ever interviewed. He was never picked to do the interview. We showed up to the rally and asked for the interview. Damon had a lot of other questions to ask Biden, but we were told he was only allowed to ask one question.
