Why the heck did you shake them?!?! Be gentle with living creatures. Make sure they get the care they need, they aren't just supposed to be used on TH-cam just because they are cute. 🐢 🐢
Guys, stop harassing this guy for buying turtles from a box. Many other people and companies buy and sell turtles through boxes and although I agree the transportation conditions could have been better, imagine what the facility they came from was like. It was probably a bunch of tubs overcrowded with baby turtles. They could have died if they weren't bought. Stop calling this guy evil and putting baby turtles' lives at risk, because they were already at risk. This guy isn't a villain, he's a hero. He saved the turtles from falling into the wrong hands (as long as he's a good owner).
n& j Technically depending where they ship how far the distance is and what kind of animal it is it's safer to ship them in a box. Also depends on the carrier. Also with these kinds of turtles and how they shipped them is one of the safest things.
+turtle bella aj yeah... i feel like people sometimes need treating how they treat their animals... they are alive like us and if they were in the animals situation then they would undaerstand that their actions are wrong. i hate when an animal is treated wrong. i cant stand people like that... people who could mistreat an animal.
Maddiesbaddie yeah i seen someone mistreat a turtle he hit it with sticks and dropped it on its back then i went up to him and hit him and took care of the turtle until it was ready to return to the wild
+turtle bella aj people who protect and help animals are the best kind of person in my eyes... they move me and make me happy and know theres at least some good in the world
***** Were they just? Thank goodness we have an expert here, I really thought this might erupt into a debate but thankfully we have you. (Note sarcasm)
THERE ARE 4 THINGS WRONG WITH THIS VIDEO!!!!!! 1: You should never ship turtles! I absolutely hate the fact that he is also shaking the box around! Turtles and other reptiles should be treated just like dogs or cats! 2: You should do research on ANY kind of animal before you buy one! He says and acts like he knows nothing about turtles! Also I just hate the fact that he says "hopefully they're alive" 3: He is acting like the only reason that he got the turtles is to get views on TH-cam! 4: Red eared sliders are not rare. I see them all the time at my family's lake. He acts like he knows nothing about turtles! PS: I HOPE THIS VIDEO GETS DEMONITIZED!
Guys I am studying Zoology and I can assure you that this is actually the safest way to ship them. They are special boxes. You guys shouldn't be so sensitive, it is perfectly fine, good that they're getting a home (since these ones wouldn't survive in the wild), and are not actually rare at all.
so its coool to just sell them for profits? why not turtle adoptions? because WERE fucked and greedy and reality is about the money with our unintelligent race among the stars.
So you have a study where captive turtles were released into the wild and their inability to survive was documented to back up your poorly spelled insult, Dawson Smith. Maybe you should lead with your knowledge and not the other end.
1) WHY DF ARE THEY IN A BOX WITH NO AIR!! 2) since when are red eared sliders rare I have one and they are extremely cheap and actually the most common pet turtle
Its overnight shipping, plus, when they are shipped they are in hibernation, so they don't really breathe air alot. They won't suffocate. They are semi aquatic turtles, even if they weren't hibernating they can still hold their breath for hours.
Even if they can hold their breath. Post offices are rarely gentle with packages. I would never trust them with animals. Also, the temperature in storage rooms can be very cold. Not a good thing for reptiles.
When someone ships it with overnight shipping it generally has insurance. plus they would have to be careful with it. And it literally says live turtles on the package. storage rooms are generally not a factor, with OVERNIGHT shipping. Temperatures shouldn't matter if the turtle is only cold or hot overnight, they are very hardy and they are in hibernation anyways. And If temperature actually was important, the person who sent it would put heat packs in with the package if they have common sense.
How would u pack a animal? Sometimes to save a animal you must risk death at least there not out there getting there flesh pecked out like a mummy by a robin
T͟i͟m͟o͟r͟ S͟e͟a͟ Nobody know how to hold a Turtle at Home and then they die !!! 😡😡😡😠😠 ITS NOT OKAY TO SHIPP ALIVE TURTLES IN A BOX 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕 THESE HUMANS 😠😠😠
Why the hell would you flick a turtle thatvlooks half dead and why the hell wouod they ship three turtles in a container that small what are they trying to acomplish '^'
He was hardly being gentle with them. They're tiny and delacate and should be handled with care. I feel sorry for them with the amount he shook the box
GnosticTheist Shipping live turtles to people across the world. If the turtles die from starvation, lack of oxygen, etc, it's all on them. Stuffing turtles into boxes is something called animal abuse, which creates millions of haters against the company and then they end up sued.
Also, I would not like to engage in a pointless argument. We all have our opinions. So goodbye :) PS: Suing them was a joke, but i did get annoyed the way they shipped them.
They're fine, he said it was overnight shipping so they were in that box for 24 hours MAX. Turtles spend more time than that underwater a sometimes, calm down
I was watching this and dozed off and when I came back to my senses i was confused cuz this said rare and they all looked like red eared sliders to me.
Okay, someone please help me understand. Is this not cruel to keep live baby turtles in an unventilated container and put that container in an unventilated box? Why would you mail a live turtle anyways? Is this not animal cruelty?
All this people that doesn't know shit about turtles complaining about the package and the "treatment", come on go read a book about nature and reallize that those turtles were by far more comfortable in the box, than outside, they don't need to much oxygen to stay alive, and they are reptiles, so they don't suffocate for being in a small and dark place, stop pooping in people's intelligence, they obviously wont put the animals in a package that would kill them, that would be like having a restaurant and spit in the food at plain sight of the customers.
+Gabriel Videla They were shipped over night. prob not in the box for even 10 hours. they dont even eat everyday. ALL YOU HIPPIES need to learn about turtles and thier living needs b4 complaining
Zeo Animations I guess that comment isn't for me, I don't disagree with the package, because I know that turtles can survive for long periods of time without food, or much oxygen.
***** They're animals, they die. If you mail a box of newborn animals, then there is a chance they will die. Heck, they could've died anyway, even if they were put straight into good care. Death is sort of a part of life. Without it, we wouldn't celebrate the joy that life is.
The way you handled the turtles is a bit rough! Flipping the box on its side roughly... Tapping hardly on a newborn turtle thinking it is dead... The company of this turtle shipping.. couldn't they have put a FRAGILe sticker on the box, and at least put some holes in the containers?!? Poor baby turtles!
I hope you take good care of these little guys and I'm sure you will, but I've never heard of shipping live animals in a box!?! That seems very strange to me.
I'm not hating on your channel and I love turtles... But it's not the overnight shipping you want to worry about. It's if the turtle is alive and healthy
Hello Cortez Dude it's shipping!!!! They do have air and when people are shipping turtles, they cant put water in the container, so they use moist towels or paper and they can breathe by the way. Who the hell would feed them while shipping? I don't like animals that are shipped but you can't do anything about it. :/
I know, i got my tortoise from the shop, didnt order it. ;-; so cruel, and the "shy" one was probably scared and didnt want to come out cos he was shoved in a freaken tub.
for reals people these days alot of animals have just as much of a reason to live as a human but there like if it dies than ok ,that is not okay specialy for animal that can be pets
Amys Reptiles Yeah but what about food, water, cold, overheating, getting crushed or thrown? No one should get a pet from a box! They get them in a store, shelter, or from a breeder, and not in a stressing box.
Everybody calm the frick down, people buy reptiles in boxes all the time. They normally have heat/cold pads and padding and water so they can breathe, and they're shipped overnight. The only thing wrong about this is the way the turtles were handled and the fact that he bought from Turtle Shack, which wouldn't be your greatest option.
There are holes in the lid and it's overnight shipping they were probably pretty calm being shipped in darkness. Alot of reptiles, amphibians, insects and other creatures are mailed like this. Chicks are shipped similar the only thing I was worried for was is how stressed the turtles we're seeing someone for the first time and that person poking and proding that turtle great way to start a relationship with a pet
If you guys think that turtles that are shipped or in bad living conditions as a baby never ever look up what percentage of baby turtles born survive to adolescence.
The Red Ear Slider is arguably the most common turtle on the face of the planet. In the quest to produce unusual color "morphs" countless millions are in propagation. Thanks to the Pet Trade they have invaded non-native waterways all over the planet.
+niko the box wont but id assume that the delivery isnt company provided. n ups wouldnt be very gental. not to mention if they travel long ways they travel by plane and the lugague area gets very cold. the trip home is wats dangerous for them
+niko to a point. they normally enter in stasis at a certain temp. but their blood is still capable of freezing. im not sure the difference in temperature 500 or so feet in the air but im sure it can get pretty cold in certain seasons. im just saying.
***** :I Over-night shipping when they are hibernating (in other words not needing food or feeling anything)!!! SO CRUEL (BTW in case you don't get it it' s sarcasam)
if you don't know why turtles hide, then you shouldn't have turtles. Seriously, it's to hide away or to defend themselves from predators. There's nothing wrong with the turtle, I've never owned a turtle and I know that
+Javier Armas the way i got my turtle to be friends with my turtle is twice a week I would take them out of the tank and feed them by hand and play with them I feed them 2 times a day
Well not technically, I believe that they are sealed up in the little container and the soft purple cotton is soaked in chloroform to keep the turtles asleep and not have to eat or suffocate while being shipped to the orderer.
OMG GUYS CALM DOWN THE TURTLES ARE NOT HARMED ON THE BOX THEY HAVE EVERYTHING THEY NEED AND THEY ARE USED TO IT, if it wasn't ok to be shipping baby turtles then this guys probs wouldn't be buying them ok!!!!!!!
I'm in shock. How did they survive? Well, i'm glad they did :3 I would name the first turtle, Bolt | Because he/she was speedin' away :3 The second turtle, Jet | Because he/she was pretty fast :3 And the last turtle, Doorstop | Because he/she just sat there :3 My red-eared slider is named Slippy because in his tank there are no rocks so he just slides around. My dad calls him Snappy because when we put turtles in his tank, IT GOT CRAZY! Let's just say that (No serious injury) :D
At first I thought it was wrong to ship reptiles and other animals, but if you find a breeder you can trust you can get the animals to you safely. Honestly, if they are shipped properly the worst that could happen in the animals getting a bit stressed and defecating. I do appreciate though that you want what is right for the animals, but shipping is completely fine.
Do some research, this is the best way to ship certain reptiles, hibernation is induced in some cases but most if not all take 12-24 hours shipping times with priority overnight, all in compliance with US law, none of these reptiles are hurt or mistreated in this fashion either, nor they have the same needs as a mammal which would be illegal to ship. Although I agree it looks bad how else would you transport reptiles and maintain a business? this method works fine and the turtles are not harmed, any savvy reptile owner knows this. Cheers, I won't care for replies so anyone is free to grab some popcorn and read the uneducated flaming I'll probably get. Do your research first, but no matter haha.
As I said, do some research, you cannot just assume having a pet is a bad course of action, you just don't understand, so please do your research. Here's a free tidbit, several endangered species like de Burmese Star tortoise have literally been saved from extinction thanks to captive breeding, their population is kept safe, healthier and increasing numbers. I bet a simple google search would pull several other species being saved this way. Captive breeding helps, wild catch and hunting or introducing invasive species like us does not.
HoloPhantasia HoweltersHere TACO DO TACO IF ITS A SMALL TURTLE DO TACO!!!!😱 I'm getting a small gentle for my b day and I'm making him taco so feel free to name you taco 😂😂
Imagine starting your first days of life living in a small swimming pool. Cloudy water fills your pool and you are surrounded by your flapping brothers and sisters day every second of every day. You wake up with the sun, and it’s your favorite thing in existence. The light and the warmth energize you, make you feel strong. When it retreats, you sleep on a pile of your siblings on a strategically placed cinder block in the middle of the pool. You’re barely six days old when you’re packed in a bucket and taken on a dark journey that lasts for what seems like forever, only to be removed from your dark transport and placed into another tiny plastic pool in a place full of loud noises and strange smells. You’re at a summer festival. The man running your booth sets up a sign next to some tiny plastic “lagoons” that says “FREE BABY TURTLE WITH PURCHASE,” and immediately a crowd begins to grow. One by one, you watch your siblings disappear. Happy children with enthusiastic sparkles in their eyes grasp eagerly at plastic containers with their new friends inside as they bound away from the booth. Hours pass until it is finally your turn to go to your new home. You are placed in your little transport container with one of your sisters and jostled around by your new seven-year-old owner as he excitedly runs you to the family car. Another long car ride goes by and before you know what’s going on, you’ve already met the neighborhood kids, been swatted at by the cat, and experienced the cold breeze of the home’s AC unit as you settle into your new home-a shallow plastic container with a small ramp that leads up to a fake palm tree. It’s cold, and the water is stagnant, already clouded from the handfuls of pellets tossed at you in hopes that you will chow down for everyone to see. Your sister sits in the corner, hardly moving. Night comes, and you are exhausted, so all you can do for the time being is sleep. Surely the sun will return with its welcoming lights and gentle warmth tomorrow. Days turn into weeks and weeks give way into months. The heat has never returned, and despite being cold all the time, you find enough hunger in you to eat something once in a while. Your sister is gone-her eyes inflamed and her lethargy got worse with time. She never really perked up since moving in, and one day the water was exceptionally foul and dark colored. She was gone. Over time, you are often forgotten. The child who cares for you has moved on to other focuses in life and sometimes the food is tossed to you, sometimes it isn’t. More often than not, you are forgotten long enough for the water to completely disappear from your tiny home. Despite the absence of sun, you are growing, but you can tell that you will outgrow your home soon. You can feel your bones becoming soft, your eyesight is wavering-your home is too small to move around in very much and even so, your energy is waning. You live another year and a half, dreaming of the sun every day until you eventually drift away into an eternal sleep. Turtles are one of the most commonly and impulsively bought pet reptile, sold in mass quantities every year to people who may be misinformed about the level of care they need. Often times, the misinformation is brought about by someone trying to make a sale on the small souls they are there to unload. “They are miniature.” “They grow to the size of their enclosure.” “All they need is water and food.” “Super easy to keep!” These are all false. Turtles get BIG, and the most common species sold in this way is the red-eared slider-an animal that can grow to be a foot long. Perhaps 12 inches doesn’t sound very large at first, but when you remember that this is an animal that lives inside of a hard shell and needs a semi-aquatic habitat to survive, the cost and space requirements of a proper enclosure suddenly skyrocket. “Growing to the size of its enclosure” is also a myth, and a general one at that-thought to apply to any strange and misunderstood animal, this is not true for anything-not turtles, not fish, not tigers. Placing an animal into a smaller enclosure to ensure that they do not grow is abuse, it is willingly depriving that creature of what it needs to live a full and healthy life. Many animals are smarter than us humans give them credit for-they will recognize that they are about to outgrow their habitat and their body will stunt their growth until they find a proper home to expand in. When in captivity, they are completely reliant on their human keepers to provide them a larger enclosure and when that need is not met in a timely manner, their body systems will fail and they will die. You may have a small turtle, but a small turtle that could have lived well into its 30s is now dead at a year and a half. Turtles are a diurnal animal, this means that they are awake during the day and they sleep at night. Diurnal animals thrive on the sun to stay alive and healthy. They are awake with the sun for a reason-and turtles are definitely no exception. When being kept indoors, they need proper lighting (that can be quite expensive) in place and maintained to ensure that their bones do not go soft. Without UVB rays-whether natural or artificial-to soak up, the animal’s internal health suffers. There’s a disease that reptiles can get called Metabolic Bone Disease or MBD for short. They start to look like they are melting form the inside out and if it is caught early enough it can be stopped, but the skeletal deformities from it cannot be reversed. Reptiles are also cold-blooded, which means that they do not produce their own heat. Even if you have the UVB situation all figured out, many of these bulbs do not produce heat as well. External and artificial heat is very important for your animal to be able to move around and digest their food. Without heat, their metabolism slows and it makes proper digestion a challenge. Lastly, these are aquatic animals. They need a way to submerge themselves in the water, as well as a basking area to get completely out of it. The water portion of their enclosure is their water source but also their toilet. As turtles grow-so does their waste. Without proper filtration and regular water changes, the bacteria in the water can cause upper respiratory issues, eye infections, and death. Research is always key to obtaining and owning any pet. A little bit of digging into seemingly “common” household pets will yield a lot of new information that may even deter you from having something at home. New pets are a commitment-maybe not for the duration of your life, but often times for the duration of that animal’s life. Reading up on keeping a new little life is never a bad thing, and education is always key to humans and animals living in harmony. This piece was originally published in SA Amigo Magazine.
***** no the hell its not when u dont know where ur going and its rumbling in the truck.. anyways point is animals shouldnt be transfered just like that..
+Anton Brooks IKR When the vid started and he was opening the box I thought we want to see the turtles! And when he talked about them and said they were in there I was so sad for the turtles...
how are they supposed to ship the turtles if they don't if they work in a box and a container with packing peanuts they would get destroyed in delivery
People that don't have reptiles don't understand. Their need for oxygen is not even close to what a humans is. Is shipping them in a box ideal? Of course not. How else would any animal be shipped though? They are also very capable of surviving these conditions overnight while being shipped.
For all those people wondering why they are in a box and still not dead, mother turtles bury their eggs under the sand until it hatches, they can hold their breath for a long period of time.
Dude don't worry about turtles. I once saw a turtle tear a mouse in half and pull the remaining half back down as it tried to climb back up. Turtles are fucking metal.
Ok I think its cruel to ship a living breathing animal in a tightly packed styrofoam box. These animals need air and water. I am amazed they lived.
I agree 100%
true this made meh sad

well at least they survived...from the hard trip...
***** Were they just? Thank goodness we have an expert here, I really thought this might erupt into a debate but thankfully we have you. (Note sarcasm)
Actually there were no holes
THERE ARE 4 THINGS WRONG WITH THIS VIDEO!!!!!!
1: You should never ship turtles! I absolutely hate the fact that he is also shaking the box around! Turtles and other reptiles should be treated just like dogs or cats!
2: You should do research on ANY kind of animal before you buy one! He says and acts like he knows nothing about turtles! Also I just hate the fact that he says "hopefully they're alive"
3: He is acting like the only reason that he got the turtles is to get views on TH-cam!
4: Red eared sliders are not rare. I see them all the time at my family's lake. He acts like he knows nothing about turtles!
PS: I HOPE THIS VIDEO GETS DEMONITIZED!
This guy didn't do his research. ANY turtle at this size is going to be fragile.
Damn right
@@benjaminreece5410 I agree
Also he didn’t cycle the tank. Big big mistake
Brailee Culbertson it cant be monetized it’s under 10 minutes thank god
Guys I am studying Zoology and I can assure you that this is actually the safest way to ship them. They are special boxes. You guys shouldn't be so sensitive, it is perfectly fine, good that they're getting a home (since these ones wouldn't survive in the wild), and are not actually rare at all.
so its coool to just sell them for profits? why not turtle adoptions? because WERE fucked and greedy and reality is about the money with our unintelligent race among the stars.
k
Turtles survive just fine in the wild. They don't need people to take care of them.
Joseph Cameron not ones that were born in captivity numb nute
So you have a study where captive turtles were released into the wild and their inability to survive was documented to back up your poorly spelled insult, Dawson Smith. Maybe you should lead with your knowledge and not the other end.
I ordered A Narwhal online. I hope it arrives in good shape

Pretty big and pretty white, they beat a polar bear in a fight!

1) WHY DF ARE THEY IN A BOX WITH NO AIR!! 2) since when are red eared sliders rare I have one and they are extremely cheap and actually the most common pet turtle
air is in the atmosphere, air is in the box, its a red ear slider with a fancy gene that makes it look pretty, they are more expensive.
The video was posted in 2012
There are holes at the bottom of the box (the small one)
Jay Ellis okay and that doesn't make a difference
Hilary Little sorry man, not hating but Painted turtle are the most common turtle pet, at least here in MN
The one thing that I couldn’t stop thinking about was they must have been so scared in a box being moved loads
Don't be picking them up and flipping them they have feelings to.. be nice and gentle to da turtles ❤💓💕💗🐢🐢🐢

XD
same omg XD
i also love how everyone keeps freaking out lmao
Did u realize that you have bought a turtle by internet ALIVE
Yeah, better buy them dead.

2. There were tiny holes.

Ime totally with you
Caroline Orrell He hardly shook the box. Honesty hes not playing catch with it or something
Oh, TurtleShack? Yeah, im suing them.
So goodbye :)
PS: Suing them was a joke, but i did get annoyed the way they shipped them.
GnosticTheist Yep

You are a monster letting people ship turtles
Dill Pickle you do not understand the mechanics of how they even shipped them in the box
I agree.
Dill Pickle your an idiot to say that cuz he was the one who bought it blame turtle shack not him idiot
Ava The Goat Okay, so the next time you get blamed something, blame yourself. Since that is what you're saying
he's not the monster... the monsters are the ones who designed those boxes... he freed them from the box
Red ear sliders are not rare. I had 10 before and some Asian lady sells them for 5 bucks down my block. She's been selling them for 20 years.
I have one too

Yup.
I was watching this and dozed off and when I came back to my senses i was confused cuz this said rare and they all looked like red eared sliders to me.
They can be caught at the resovour here in Oklahoma. All day long. We've even breed and hatch them. So they're not rare. I agree

“But I think I just farted or something” I-...ok 😭
i think he was talking about one of the turtles but this comment made me CACKLE 😂
Okay, someone please help me understand. Is this not cruel to keep live baby turtles in an unventilated container and put that container in an unventilated box? Why would you mail a live turtle anyways? Is this not animal cruelty?
I was thinking the exact same thing. I personally own two turtles, and when I got them, they came in a small plastic aquarium.
Ikr!!
ikr, like wat?
yeah, i was thinking that too.... poor little guys :/
IKR they need to get something to put them in
All this people that doesn't know shit about turtles complaining about the package and the "treatment", come on go read a book about nature and reallize that those turtles were by far more comfortable in the box, than outside, they don't need to much oxygen to stay alive, and they are reptiles, so they don't suffocate for being in a small and dark place, stop pooping in people's intelligence, they obviously wont put the animals in a package that would kill them, that would be like having a restaurant and spit in the food at plain sight of the customers.
THIS COMMENT IS BEAUTIFUL OH MY GOD
+Gabriel Videla They were shipped over night. prob not in the box for even 10 hours. they dont even eat everyday. ALL YOU HIPPIES need to learn about turtles and thier living needs b4 complaining
Turtles can survive 2 weeks without food. Please speak when you have some knowledge in your brain, and a few brain cells.
Zeo Animations I guess that comment isn't for me, I don't disagree with the package, because I know that turtles can survive for long periods of time without food, or much oxygen.
Finally someone who knows what there talking about
Quite shocked that you can mail order living creatures? Thought it was a wind up at first? "Aw he looks dead? No he isn't"
How do you think pet stores get their animals?
They are hibernating, they do not have any traumatic shock from it.

It was his first time ....
***** They're animals, they die. If you mail a box of newborn animals, then there is a chance they will die. Heck, they could've died anyway, even if they were put straight into good care. Death is sort of a part of life. Without it, we wouldn't celebrate the joy that life is.
Farooq Z. Wow that was deep
Haha I actually found a baby turtle just like yours on my porch after it stormed.. I've had him for a year and he's still super tiny 😍
that's so cute 🥰
The way you handled the turtles is a bit rough!
Flipping the box on its side roughly... Tapping hardly on a newborn turtle thinking it is dead...
The company of this turtle shipping.. couldn't they have put a FRAGILe sticker on the box, and at least put some holes in the containers?!?
Poor baby turtles!
Annie Yu Yeah...
BECAUSE IT DEFINETLY DOESN'T HAVE HOLES AND YOUR DEFINETLY NOT BLIND
Man: i think that one is dead......
Pokes it
Nope it’s alive
Lol
My library teacher has a turtle I'm in 3rd grade
I hope you take good care of these little guys and I'm sure you will, but I've never heard of shipping live animals in a box!?! That seems very strange to me.
Shipping live fish/reptiles in boxes is pretty common as long as the shipper knows what they are doing and how to correctly pack them
Yaapp Learn something new every day.
How do you think they get to the pet store?
beautifuljoe1313 True, but I expected air holes or a box different from one in which you'd ship computer parts;-)
It is very common to do it. You just have to make sure it is packed right. They are never in the box for more than 48 hours.
I'm not hating on your channel and I love turtles... But it's not the overnight shipping you want to worry about. It's if the turtle is alive and healthy
PRoQ dragon gods12 yeah
It is so cruel to put a turtle in a box THEY NEED AIR AND WATER AND FOOD and those turtles are not rare
Hello Cortez I agree
Hello Cortez reptiles actually barely breath, and also, they don't need water, because they hibernate for a while.
Hello Cortez yes you are corect
“Im scared to touch them” 2 seconds later -grabs them- “OhHOh I thInK hEs DeAd” -almost tips it over
Who the fuck put turtles in a ventless cardboard box.
agree
Your mum.
they hibernate and need very less oxyone
ikr 😂😂😂
for reals people these days alot of animals have just as much of a reason to live as a human but there like if it dies than ok ,that is not okay specialy for animal that can be pets
My grandad just found a turtle on the backyard so we're looking after it😀!!
I found 2 in a small container on the streets I’m looking after then too

People should shut down turtle shak
well ya there baby's thay probably have wiplash :(
Victor Trinidad ml
Why?
I think that turtles do not have to come in a box as human beings are capable of doing such a thing.
Im supposed to be tiding up my room and I sundenly end up here like.... why
Same
Kara Wason yeah why did u come here?
Why are they in a box?!
No one knows it's probably because reasons
To ship?
TorterraFirered
Huh?
Amys Reptiles
Yeah but what about food, water, cold, overheating, getting crushed or thrown? No one should get a pet from a box! They get them in a store, shelter, or from a breeder, and not in a stressing box.
It's a over night process and they get checked anyway every animal you get will come healthy and living!!
How could the sellers put it on a box.... And put the turtles in a plastic container
It's normal.
@Straight Jacket It had freaking holes on the side, like look closer before you freaking comment
Oh ya it has to be a metal container 🙃
I have bought myself a Rottweiler,he is being delivered tomorrow by Fed-ex!Hopefully he is carefully packaged😉
Same with my cat. Hopefully he's not dead.
😂😂😂
+Casey Dunne would you want to be in a box🙎💩💩💩🚬🚬 you smoking shiti weado
Is that even legal
+Casey Dunne your not funny
If you guys think that turtles that are shipped or in bad living conditions as a baby never ever look up what percentage of baby turtles born survive to adolescence.
The Red Ear Slider is arguably the most common turtle on the face of the planet. In the quest to produce unusual color "morphs" countless millions are in propagation. Thanks to the Pet Trade they have invaded non-native waterways all over the planet.

Turtles can survive in long periods inside a plastic container, they breathe differently from humans
red-eared sliders aren't rare
Aimee Stafford I have 4 of them and I see them all the time because I have 2 ponds in my yard
Aimee Stafford it looks like they’re pastels
Ikr I have a red eared slider baby :)
They’re also ninja turtles
In lake Houston there are a million of red ear sliders
Omg how did they leave em inside that thing they can't breath 💔,and be gentle please.
They would have been literally buried under the sand in the wild. How is having them in a ventolated container going prevent them from breathing?
a dug out sand hole and a box are VERY different, the sand hole provides fresh air while the box only has a limited supply of oxygen.
meme kid That's not exactly true, but whatever.
Maysa Mohammed That's physically impossible.
Maysa Mohammed Really, I don't think there's a place physically a place close enough to a womb big enough to fit a human of my size.
why are they in boxes??😲
because people are idiots
actually what I was wondering
+niko the box wont but id assume that the delivery isnt company provided. n ups wouldnt be very gental. not to mention if they travel long ways they travel by plane and the lugague area gets very cold. the trip home is wats dangerous for them
+niko to a point. they normally enter in stasis at a certain temp. but their blood is still capable of freezing. im not sure the difference in temperature 500 or so feet in the air but im sure it can get pretty cold in certain seasons. im just saying.
+niko i use it cause im used to it. tho im part hispanic and have used the metric system. as to why the U.S. uses englands system idk.
Whoever packed them turtles like that lucky they didn't die.
What a cruel way to ship animals. For fuck's sake
They're hibernated
I agrea
Larmar Frazier it dosent matter if they hibernate, its cruel
MsWannabeGamer I know right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
***** :I Over-night shipping when they are hibernating (in other words not needing food or feeling anything)!!! SO CRUEL (BTW in case you don't get it it' s sarcasam)
if you don't know why turtles hide, then you shouldn't have turtles. Seriously, it's to hide away or to defend themselves from predators. There's nothing wrong with the turtle, I've never owned a turtle and I know that
It's hibernating. They make them a certain tampers tire to trigger it.
Predators not prey
Juan Moreno sorry, I'll change it
The turtles just need time to know him
+Javier Armas the way i got my turtle to be friends with my turtle is twice a week I would take them out of the tank and feed them by hand and play with them I feed them 2 times a day
Poor turtles they couldn't breathe
I am a Chicken dumbass, then how are they alive?
An Emoji because they're fucking magical ass turtles biotch
I am a Chicken they can hold their breath since they are semi aquatic
Your kiling IT
I am a Chicken they dont need that much air now shut up before i eat kfc
I love reading the comments . It just shows how people doesn’t know how pet stores gets their animals lol.
The thing that the turtles came in needs to have food, holes in it for them to breath, and the box holes in it too.
This is turtle abuse.
Well not technically, I believe that they are sealed up in the little container and the soft purple cotton is soaked in chloroform to keep the turtles asleep and not have to eat or suffocate while being shipped to the orderer.
seth michael yeah, I believe you
seth michael
Chloroforming animals? People die from that!
I don't believe I have heard of a reported death from chloroform. But I do think that it could be bad for your health if overdosed.
ikr! This is the first time I see a living creature being "SHIPPED" in a "BOX" ... :\ How the hell was this made possible I have no idea :X
TORTURE IS THE NAME OF THIS .

I'm in shock. How did they survive? Well, i'm glad they did :3
I would name the first turtle, Bolt | Because he/she was speedin' away :3
The second turtle, Jet | Because he/she was pretty fast :3
And the last turtle, Doorstop | Because he/she just sat there :3
My red-eared slider is named Slippy because in his tank there are no rocks so he just slides around. My dad calls him Snappy because when we put turtles in his tank, IT GOT CRAZY!
Let's just say that (No serious injury) :D
Who the frick would treat turtles like that?? Those poor turtles just sufficating in packaging! That's so mean!
Cheers,
I won't care for replies so anyone is free to grab some popcorn and read the uneducated flaming I'll probably get.
Do your research first, but no matter haha.
"How else would you transport reptiles" you shouldn't be shipping them in general nor should anyone even have a reptile as pet.
Okay brainiac. Nobody cares anymore.
THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! NOW I WANT A TURTLE

This man should do his FUCKING RESEARCH
You should do research
You should do research he definitely did his because his tank has all the essentials a red ear needs
+Harambe My boyz his prep is good. How he described the animals and his professionalism is amateur.
he just needs to do some more research but over all his prep is better than any of ours and one of his turtles is dead because it didn't bask
Harambe My boyz The turtle was moving after a moment.
“They are miniature.”
“They grow to the size of their enclosure.”
“All they need is water and food.”
“Super easy to keep!”
These are all false.
Reading up on keeping a new little life is never a bad thing, and education is always key to humans and animals living in harmony.

why the hell would u send animals in a box THROUGH MAIL. and why would u alorder them r u kidding me.
It's turtle shack not him. It is safe for turtles do your research!
Jenny Willson would u like to be trapped in a box in the dark?? No 😊
It has air holes and they are in hibernation.
If they don't send em no one can get turtles because they don't have a pet shop nearby!

can I keep your baby turtle
ok why would they put turtles in a container and a cardboard box
Exactly!! Like that's just the biggest thing with me like they tried to kill those babies! I was surprised they survived!
+Dylan Stewart Finally I think you're the first reasonable person I've seen in this comment section.
Aww you can't mail animals in boxes :( that's mean they were probably scared, hungry and thirsty !!
They arrive within 24 hours they are fed before they get shipped and the inside is moist they arrive perfectly fine
not true they can be mailed in boxes
People mail animals In boxes all the time
Dude don't worry about turtles. I once saw a turtle tear a mouse in half and pull the remaining half back down as it tried to climb back up. Turtles are fucking metal.
They put them in hibernation so they won't die why being shipped that's why he put them in water
omfg it's so messed up that we ship little animals now
Thats been happening ever since pet stores existed. How do you think they get to the store?
