First Like from 🇪🇸. Good description, Loyd. A nice friday for everyone
Thanks. I have a pair of the fuji lite 3's and I really like the combo of comfort without as much cushioning. The width is pretty good although I do feel that they run a little long and the toe can catch on rocks and such on the trail.
Just ordered them, Can not wait I have Asics Noosa tri 14 which I absolutely love so hopefully These badboys will be something similar but for trails :)
The Asics Noosa Tri 14 is a brilliant road shoe! I wouldn't say the Fujilite 4 feels like the Noosa but it's a nice shoe to run in 👍
Thanks for watching 😊
Hi there Loyd… great reviews as always… very helpful… tell me please between these fuji lite 4 and sense ride 5?… tnx
i loooove the 3! only got mine this summer, but it'so nimble, and actually light. 303g for uk9.5 seems a bit much tbh.
Kudos for showing the insole 👍
Hi! Is it roomy in the forefoot? Great video! :)
Just came across a pair for €69 here in NL, once I saw this video I had to get them to at least try. Will arrive Monday 🤘
That's a bargain, well done! Hope you enjoy your shoes and thanks for watching 👍😊
1:06 The Canadian site has the specs you need:
• Weight: 9.5oz/270g
• Stack: Heel: 33mm, Forefoot: 29mm
• Drop: 4mm
Thanks for the info 👍
I watch all your videos and it always surprises me how tight you pull the laces. Can’t imagine pulling them that tight and being able to run long distance or is that just me. As always great review.
I don't pull my laces tight when I'm running, that's just when I'm filming to demonstrate doing the shoes up. Although on some shoes I do have to pull them a bit tighter depending on the fit of the shoes 👍
i have high arch and instep. i need to lace my shoes as loose as possible without getting heel slip or else my feet get numb. because of that my laces don't have enough length to do the runners knot and if the laces are short to start with, i need to skip an eyelet.
is this good for 50km trail or 12 hours ? 😊
I will buy the fujispeed2 bcs i like to go very fast downhill technical, but the lite seems like the speedgoat5 from your review
Thanks Man for all the precious and professional info to all of us passionate with TRAIL❤
The Fujilite isn't as cushioned as a Speedgoat 5 and you have a lot more ground feel so it feels more stable. I'd say the FujiSpeed 2 has more cushioning 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
@@Run4Adventure thanks for the precious clarification👍, and congrats for your nice channel😎
Nice review Loyd, just wondering would you pick this over the Trabuco 11?. Both looks very similar design with the FF Blast
I do actually prefer the Fujilite 4 to the Trabuco 11. I think the Fujilite fits my footshape a bit better 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
I agreed on asics website. So poor in the detail but i got it for 30% off alrrady. My first time using the Asics for trail, the outsole is quite impressive and sticky. I wish it was a bit lighter and could appreciate a more lighter upper. At 56km now it is holding quite well and has soften up quite well. It is a great training trail shoe for me.
I like this shoe very much .I think 50k might be this shoes limit , felt beat up afterwards on a hard effort
How do these compare to the Nike Pegasus Trail 4? Particularly as a road to trail option
Nice review, Loyd!
I do around 2-3 runs a week in my local park and 1 trail run in the mountains.
I am currently looking at Asics Fuji Lite 4 and Merrel mtl long sky 2 and just can't make up my mind... Which one would you go to?
I have 250 miles on my Fuji lite 4’s. They are a big improvement over the 3’s. Great shoe.
That's good to hear, thanks for watching 🙏😊
I was about to get a pair of the 3s. Would you recommend getting the 4s over the 3s if the price difference is below 15€? (I find both on sales for less than 100€. It would replace my hoka torrent 2)
@@adriengoux The midsole foam used is totally different
Does Novablast3 TR anywhere close/overlap to this, or it will be tiered NB3-TR -> FL4 -> FS2 in terms of comfort+good on technical terrain?🤔
Thank you for reminding me to take my AG1. I often forget. 😅
Love this shoe very comfortable.
Glad you are enjoying your shoes and thanks for watching 👍🙂
So little info that the Fuji Lite 4 doesn't even show up on the site for me (US). Weirdly, it does show up on Running Warehouse.
Is it wide foot friendly? I tried the version 2 and it fit narrow for me.
is they similar to trabuco 11?
Hi @Run4Adventure, brilliant video as always! Would you say the Fujilite4's cushioning is good enough for a 50k? I am trialling the Speedgoat 5 but really not liking that I am not close to the ground and the heel lock is horrible on that. I will be running Race to the King and possibly Serpent Trail, races you both familiar with - would you say given it's a good fit, it's a good choice for that terrain over 50k distance vs the Speedgoat 5? Thank you!!
I did a 38k run in the fuji lite 2 over some very technical terrain. And my feet were fine. Was also worried that the cushioning might be too thin but they did the job, no blisters , no niggles.
@@billywd-phd5052 Thanks! Shoes arrived after this comment and did a 35k also on a technical terrain with no issues. In retrospect can't really compare to the Speedgoat as it's apples and pears comparison, but I would take this over the Speedgoat for a 50k on almost any trails, all day, all night. Also no blisters, roomy toebox (at least for me) and really responsive for a trail shoe. The speedgoat did hurt my achilles and the heel lock was not great at all. It's pretty much the only shoe that hurt my achilles and I've had like 30-40.
Why is it there a hardly any trail shoes for overpronation??
Love the reviews Loyd❤
The trail is a much more forgiving environment compared the the hard, flat, repetitive road! When you're running on the trails, the ground if softer but it's also uneven so the body has to adapt to the ground underfoot 👍
If you look into the history of running, the trails are where we are meant to run! Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Loyd
check the Asics Gel Trabuco 11, it's designed for overpronation I think...
@@antiabamagalatoka8525 The Gel-Trabuco 11 does have a little bit of medial support but it really isn't a lot. The midsole is very similar to the Fujilite 4 👍
Great review. How would the Fujilite 4 work on a route that is 50/50 road and trail? I have the Fujilite 2, and they don't seem to offer enough cushioning on the road part of the route ... Thanks in advance for any advice!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I wouldn’t have an issue running the Fujilite 4’s on the road but cushioning is a personal thing 🤔
What about the lack of rock plate;how do they hold up against sharper gravel/dirt tracks?
I didn’t have any issues when running on rocky, technical trails 👍
Do you have any opinions on the Fujilite 4 vs the Fujispeed 2 for a trail half marathon or longer? i.e. which cushioning would hold up over distance.
The cushioning isn’t massively different in either shoe but the Fujispeed is a lot more stiffer at the mid foot because of the carbon plate. I personally would find the Fujispeed to stiff for long distance 👍
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the video.
Thanks for the insight! @@Run4Adventure
asics fujilite 4 or nike pegasus trail 4? which one to go for?
I’d probably go for the asics shoe, outsole performance is so much better than the Nike shoe 👍
hii hello, can i know that fuji lite 4 good for wide feet or not ?
I’d say the Fujilite 4 has average width in the toe box. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏
How does this compare to the Terrex Speed Ultra?
The Speed Ultra is a very different trail shoe, it's pretty stripped back and a lot lighter than the Asics FUJILITE 4. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏😊
Certainly does, cheers Loyd! Keep up the great work.
@@gregholmes8764 Will do, thanks for watching 👍
How do these compare to the New Balance Summit Unknown v4? Are these wide?
It’s a very different feeling shoe compared to the Summit unknown. The ASICS shoe is a bit heavier and it definitely has a bit more width in the toe 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙂
@@Run4Adventure Awesome! I enjoy the SU4s in the. wide width so good to know this is wider. I am thinking this would be a good do it all shoe for traveling and only wanting one running shoe?
@@alredalred it would work well for that 👍
@@Run4Adventure Awesome! Thanks for the help :)
Horrible on wet and mud. Somewhere else... fantastic
I personally think the asicsgrip outsole is pretty good in the wet. The rubber feels grippy on wet rock, the lug depth can struggle in heavy mud but it's not to bad 🤔
They leave the job of stating the specs to dedicated youtuber such as you 😅
I think you're right 👍😂
