Today, I passed my interview. Thanks to this channel, I was able to get ready and go in with confidence. For the last 4 months my kids and I study with you everyday. Thank you for having this channel with great educational videos.
Two very important tips that I got from the video 1. The place on N-445 must be the city of the interview, not the one of the mailing address. 2. Get IDs for all guests (even though they didn’t ask for IDs specifically, it was helpful to know this. Thank you for the videos! As a side note, what also helped was bringing my employment authorization card. I surrendered it along with my permanent resident card as well.

Hi Jackie, I found this video really helpful before my oath ceremony tomorrow! Thanks for pointing out to use black ink for everything (I was ready to bring my blue pen to fill out the N445) including the naturalization certificate. Btw, I believe there's another travel document you can obtain that is not a passport: Enhanced driver license in some states like New York allows you to re-enter the US via land border from Canada or Mexico. You can make an appt in the local DMV and it comes in 2 weeks.

I just did my oath ceremony today at the San Francisco location. Arrived an hour early because why not. They started letting us in 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. I brought my partner along but no guests were allowed in. We were given our Naturalization Certificate before we were even sat down. Took about a half hour to get everyone situated. The ceremony itself took about 10 minutes. The supervisor/officer made a quick speech, we stood up for the oath itself, then the video from Biden was played, then we left. There was no option to get your US passport afterward. Also, I had filled out my N445 in blue ink by accident and it didn't matter. Regardless, thank you for your great series of videos!

Sorry for the late reply. You can fill out in advance as long as the answers don't change on the day of the Oath, but you should sign on the day of the Oath.
I took my USCIS citizenship interview on May 24 2023, but I took my oath ceremony on May 26 2023. I showed both my current and expired greencard during my citizenship interview. The interviewer told me to turn it in to the oath ceremony officer once I took it. However, I only remembered to turn in my current greencard to the oath ceremony officer after which I took the naturalization oath and received my naturalization certificate. My oath ceremony officer told me to not worry about it and destroy my expired greencard which I did. So I later used my certificate of naturalization and a florida driver license (learner’s permit) to apply for a passport book using the DS-11 form provided. Would this be a problem when it comes down to passport renewal in the future. What I mean to say is do I need to bring my certificate of naturalization to the post office every time I apply for a new passport book or passport card?😢😮

How was the interview overall , easy ?
I filed my application on Feb 15 and I m still waiting for call letter for interview. My online account shows 8 months of processing time.
How long was your total processing time ?
@@pdp_nag From the time i filed my application to when I got my interview was 6 months and then my oath ceremony was exactly a week later after I'd passed my interview.

I just did my oath ceremony today at the San Francisco location. Arrived an hour early because why not. They started letting us in 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. I brought my partner along but no guests were allowed in. We were given our Naturalization Certificate before we were even sat down. Took about a half hour to get everyone situated. The ceremony itself took about 10 minutes. The supervisor/officer made a quick speech, we stood up for the oath itself, then the video from Biden was played, then we left. There was no option to get your US passport afterward. Also, I had filled out my N445 in blue ink by accident and it didn't matter. Regardless, thank you for your great series of videos!
Did they ask for you employment authorization card at the oath cermony?
Also how quickly after your interview did you get your oath cermony date?

Sorry for the late reply. You can fill out in advance as long as the answers don't change on the day of the Oath, but you should sign on the day of the Oath.

I took my USCIS citizenship interview on May 24 2023, but I took my oath ceremony on May 26 2023. I showed both my current and expired greencard during my citizenship interview. The interviewer told me to turn it in to the oath ceremony officer once I took it. However, I only remembered to turn in my current greencard to the oath ceremony officer after which I took the naturalization oath and received my naturalization certificate. My oath ceremony officer told me to not worry about it and destroy my expired greencard which I did. So I later used my certificate of naturalization and a florida driver license (learner’s permit) to apply for a passport book using the DS-11 form provided. Would this be a problem when it comes down to passport renewal in the future. What I mean to say is do I need to bring my certificate of naturalization to the post office every time I apply for a new passport book or passport card?😢😮

I did my naturalization ceremony on 6/24/24 in Nashville still waiting on the date of my oath ceremony. I thought I would have received a date by now but nothing. Those who did pass how long did you have to wait for a date for the oath ceremony from the time you passed the interview?

Hi Jackie, I have a question about the ceremony, I request a name change during interview. You said it will be judicial and it takes place usually in the court. My oath ceremony is next week but it's in the same office where I had my interview. Will there be a chance that it's a judicial ceremony? I'm a little bit worried about it.
