Kaziranga Water Birds count 2024

Greater Kaziranga records one of the highest number of Migratory waterbirds in the country during the 5th water-bird census 2024 conducted through citizen science initiative.
Now kaziranga is the second largest numbers of Migratory waterbirds after Chilka. Congratulations to all the participants, volunteers & team Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve
The preliminary findings of the 5th Kaziranga Tiger Reserve Water-bird Count conducted simultaneously across 115 water bodies spanning three divisions of the reserve revealed the 'presence of 84,839 birds which is a 27 per cent increase since the last count (66,776 in 2021-22)'
