So far I found editing the most complicated and time consuming process of making videos! What do you think about editing and how do you approach it?

Hi Andrii, watching Casey editing and why was the most I got out of the Film School. I allready tried most of it before like changing the pictures to the beat of the music. Or keeping the movement in the same direction or try to guide the eyes by positioning the next frame. BUT: Cutting out a lot especially in the first 20 secounds was new. Only keep what drives the story or is a hook. But then I thought: I m NOT Casey and maybe my audience wants it a bit slower and with more explanation. As I try to do info-tainment about backyard chicken and not vlog in the city. And then we have to concider in what segment of biggness our audience is. Everybody will be interesting in a thing Casey Neistat will do in his day just because we allready know him. What works for him perfect will be a failure for us smaller ones. I think we have to first try to help and serve with solving problems before we can make our videos more delicious with more vlog style...
English speaking you have a world-wide audience. For me I would be most interested in seeing how you live in Mexico. Like: How much I spend a day for living in Mexico; What mexican ppl think about climate change; How impotant is soccer to mexican ppl? How big is the gap between rich and poor in mexico? Do you really drink tequilla there and how?

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I watched a lot of videos of ThinkMedia and one part of success if to "answer the questions". You are correct about what can do famous youtubers and what should do beginners. I think vlog type videos are interesting for your audience when they know you and come to the channel as they are interested in personality. Thank you for your ideas, I have a little plan to keep doing videos about Mexico. I think my problem is that I'm overthinking the videos and sometimes think that topic or video is not good enough.

Agree on the point of editing being the most complicated and time consuming process. And I must say that getting more efficient in editing is probably the biggest take away of the Casey's class for me. Good job on your video. I like how you drive the narrative with two parallel stories supporting the message you want to convey. Not sure how you think about the class, but I can surely see a difference in your post-class videos in comparison to pre-class.

Thanks Rado! Shooting video in the same time line as editing saves a lot of time! Also, editing immediately helps a lot, as you remember all shots. I definitely think very positive about the class, but I want again to rewatch all classes and then make a video about my final thoughts. Thank you for complimenting on my progress!
