This video is for anyone who's ever wanted to try arranging, but didn't know where to start, or for anyone who's ever wanted to make a hard song easier! I wanted to start right at the beginning for this video to show you just how easy it is to get started with this stuff. I hope it was useful!
Wow! I will enjoy this for playing the songs I don’t sing. If I want to accompany myself, I wouldn’t play the melody, I don’t think. I hope that will be covered!
Thank you so much for this! I'm a new Harpist trying to learn to transcribe. It's hard to learn an instrument that isn't as popular or common as others. I think showing ppl how to do this will encourage more ppl to learn the harp!
Glad it could be useful for you! Transcription can be really tricky sometimes especially depending on how complicated the song is haha, but it's okay even if it isn't exactly perfect :)
Thank you for this, I did not know you could do such things on Musescore that makes things a lot more clear for me. I usually just have to go digging around and trying to suffer through complicated Piano sheet music if I want to play a song from a certain video game here and there, I can't wait to try this out!
YES exactly that's the reason I made this video! :D It's actually pretty easy but a lot of people just don't know they can do it! So happy this video was useful for you :)
So for harp music in general, is there very little movement in basslines? Or is it just your first step in the arranging process to simplify everything?
Great question! The particular arrangement I was working on starts out with chord inversions that result in a static bassline but it has more to do with the arrangement than harp music in general. The main goal with this exercise was to have an easy way to simplify everything without needing to worry about any kind of chords or theory.
@@SamanthaBallard ohhh i get you! Instead of trying to grind your way through what could be considered unecessarily difficult or overcomplicated phrases, you simplify it. I guess your later videos show how to arrange it into something you could perform?
lol nope the strings are not really sharp at all! I usually have a callus on my left hand fourth finger but otherwise it's not an issue. I think guitar strings are much sharper.
@@SamanthaBallard oh ok i play guitar and piano so i know what you mean😂 i had callus on the four fingers of my left hand. and on the second and third finger on my right hand

That looks easy Samantha I will keep that in mind
Love your music so much and I always will! You are amazing 💕💕💕

@@jamkey6536 Right; if there's a song that's giving you grief you can pare it down like this and make it into something you can play right away :)
I signed up for early release and have no email in my junk or regular email for the class. I thought it was today for the early sign up?
Hmmmmmm…. It was yes. Sorry for the technical difficulties! If you send me an email at info@samanthaballardharp.com I can send you the link tonight!
do actually the harp hurts the fingers? cuz it seems sharp.
or do one has to put something on his fingers to protect them?
