When you measured the seeds from the seed tray to figure out how much lbs per acre, you only measured the right side, what about the left side. I would assume it drops seeds across the whole tray therefore wouldn't you need double what you calculated?
Michael fdz I have a Woods 84 Super Wildlife Seeder. And it’s the same way. You just have the 2cups on the right side only for the calculation of the seed. After you determine the rate of seed you want to planet. You fill the entire seed box with your seed.
Living on the edge he running his blades straight. Basically using it like a seed drill. Putting a short depth score in the earth for the seed to Contact earth and then get slightly covered by the cultipacker rolling over it
Thaddeus M Hi Thaddeus I really like my seeder. It’s so universal in william planting seeds. I have the 3 box configuration. Plus the row planting accessories let’s you plant corn or beans in a row if you like. I’ve ran a lot of seed though mine and all seeds has worked great. But all seeders have their Limitations like mine if the soil is too tacky the soil sticks to the drive roller and Coulter packer. I like said above I paid $11.000.00 for it and this seeder fit my needs and I didn’t want to buy a used seeder and work on it all the time because I’m planting something all year around.
@@japowell100 Thanx for your reply!! I'm just looking to plant hay fields. If I do corn I will get a used 2 row JD. But it's mostly for home use not for a big time farm. As for soil sticking, I can work around that and make scrapers. But I'll be in Texas, so I don't see that happening much LOL I've been looking for seeders and they are 20k for a used one! If you go cheaper it's prolly only for parts. Thanx again!
Will this seeder work on glacier till?
Pat how did your no-till field turn out?

Seeder for skidloader attachment
Could this plant corn or soybeans or sunflowers?
Wonder if it works for sweetcorn.
Probably would, sweet corn would probably permit better conditions than this.
Better options available.
But your actually tilling see the disc blades. this is not a no till.

No till refers to not plowing, discing and harrowing before seeding
all no tills have a cutter disc
"No till drill"
"Adjusted the disk harrow"
"As the unit tilled, seeded, rolled, and packed."
Sorry boys, but this isn't a no till drill!!
What’s that seeder cost
mike deushane I have a Woods 84 Super Wildlife seeder and it was just over $11,000.00
@@japowell100 How do you like it? I need something to plant orchard grass and red clover
