Is it permissible for a bride and groom pay half/half for a nikkah and half/half for the valima?

There is one scenario which is not considered
    Groom is not much wealthy
    Bride is very wealthy
Groom never insisted the brode or family anything
But considering the groom wealth they offer to take a good share of expenses for the walima as they can afford
    Is it permissible

Indian culture??? Good way of imposing your judgemental view. I’m Indian and Alhamdulillah walimah was paid for by me. I think you need to be specific and not paint a hole culture

You are one of the so-called Islamic scholars, who is putting too much financial burden on men based on some vague interpretations and references. Non-rich men in Arab countries are struggling to get married because you are blatantly imposing burdens on men. You should be ashamed!
Also, you are saying that a man should be thankful to Allah for being able to get married to a dream woman. Do you mean that marriage is only the demand of men? Are women only used to fulfill the demand of men? Honestly, you are violating human rights by treating women in such way.

Walima can be simple tbh. Say invite ur family / friends to a meal. Cooked at home or resturant.
      You don't need a hall.

Best is a simple walima. Can be a dinner for the two families.
