      @@SuperXrunner As an artist I appreciate more this kind of a drawing than a photorealism. It's just a personal tase. I think the general audience appreciates the hyperrealism more because they think that copying a photo accurately represents higher skill however they may just value realism more. But for me, this represents higher skill. It showes a new look and brings new value from the source material.

    Guys, if someone is wondering how to apply the graphite so smooth. He is using graphite dust and a make up sponge. I have tried this myself and got wonderful results.

    I have a new favourite art style. The ability to pause the video at any point beyond the first strokes and hang it up on a wall is utterly amazing to me. True skill.

    That first 30 seconds is about the most bad-ass and implausible thing I've ever seen in a drawing video. That is wildly cool and inspiring as first steps go! Finished result is sexy cool mesmerizing.

    Absolutely wonderful! I'm learning so much from three different users of charcoal, and just by watching, I've picked up a lot of good techniques; as a result, my portraits and improved leaps and bounds in just three tries. Great stuff, you guys! This is so much better than hyper-realism, which I've personally never liked.

    The real art here is all of us drawn into a conversation about it... I think the purpose of this piece was fulfilled... it got us talking... arguing exchanging experiences and ideas... hyper, low key, high key lighting, pencil or charcoal or oil ?... it really doesn't matter... just create 💪

    This conveys deep emotions. Beautiful work. I’ve been trying to decide what to do with the drawing. I’ve been anticipating of an angel and I think I’ve got my answer right here. Thank you so much I normally strive towards realism, but I just didn’t feel right about it for this drawing thank you for the teaching.

    WOW! HOLY MOlY I have never seen this technique done before DIDN'T teach this in Art school. i have seen portrait results before but i didn't know how it was done. thanks for sharing i will incorporate this technique into my repertoire. Maestro!

    Especially using only the blending stump and I don't know if it's also a cloth or a sponge.
    Could you clarify this for me?
    Your mastery is especially evident in the correct application of medium-high and very high values.

    Esto si es dibujar de verdad.... de un profesional del dibujo con muchos años de experiencia en el retrato al carbón puro y mano alzada, no pega la mano al papel...... como debe ser para no manchar la hoja dónde esta dibujando, mis sinceras felicitaciones lo mejor que he visto, dibujando con modelo vivo.... nada de fotos o ya dibujado bien suavesito pa' que no se note que ya esta dibujado, GRAN CLASE MAESTRA DEL DIBUJO EN VIVO Y DIRECTO FELICITACIONES....

    It is indeed a work of art as well as the realistic/hyperrealistic drawing. I am a realistic artist and i appreciate all kinds of art. I'm on my way to learn this technique too. Sure we know that using camera is easier and quicker than drawing realistic when it comes to making the same result.

    From the start I never stop smiling...shading all around as if nowhere to go ....then as it goes on you can see the shadow then a picture and refining ....realistic photo and in bw done in charcoal
