Realistic Portrait Drawing with Charcoal Pencil
Drawing Paper size 1 : amzn.to/2F8d0vU
Drawing Paper size 2 : amzn.to/2JdqCsq
Charcoal : amzn.to/2F4z6QD
Charcoal pencil : amzn.to/2DY4BMT
Eraser charcoal : amzn.to/2G4d3L0
Drawing tools : amzn.to/2DXA7KH
Now this is actually looks like a piece of art rather than photography-like hyper realistic decorations. An inspiration
indeed it does, its more than just pasting it on a paper in black and white, its pure creativity

As a realistic artist, afterall i know that using camera is easier and quicker to make the same result. Thanks
@@farisazhar4431trt😢🎉😂
I appreciate this much much more than hyper photo realism
When u can actually draw you'll appreciate them both
@@SuperXrunner appreciate more = both are appreciated... k? THX ...i studied fine arts at The Academy of Arts SF, majoring in drawing and painting btw
@@SuperXrunner As an artist I appreciate more this kind of a drawing than a photorealism. It's just a personal tase. I think the general audience appreciates the hyperrealism more because they think that copying a photo accurately represents higher skill however they may just value realism more. But for me, this represents higher skill. It showes a new look and brings new value from the source material.
@@user9675 wow! such useless tittles in one person, impressive!

Your work seems to be more about sculpting the figure than drawing it. Incredible skill and technique!!!
I've read this book called drawing like a sculptor, I recommend you to read it!
Right on!
@@maximiumisme8381 may i ask who is the writer?
Guys, if someone is wondering how to apply the graphite so smooth. He is using graphite dust and a make up sponge. I have tried this myself and got wonderful results.
Gracias
One of the best charcoal portraits ever seen ❤
I have a new favourite art style. The ability to pause the video at any point beyond the first strokes and hang it up on a wall is utterly amazing to me. True skill.
That first 30 seconds is about the most bad-ass and implausible thing I've ever seen in a drawing video. That is wildly cool and inspiring as first steps go! Finished result is sexy cool mesmerizing.
I really like this approach, its different and somehow seems more intuitive and free flowing
Been trying to get a technique down for charcoal and this looks so floaty and delicately done I love it
It's like drawing with clouds, and looks like a memory...
Perfect exampe of sculpting your drawing by adding and subtracting light and shade...it's an aproach i'm desperately trying to achieve!
Даже на самых первых порах было видно явное мастерство настоящего Художника! БРАВО! Спасибо Вам огромное за Ваш труд! 👍😊👍🙏👏👏👏📢БРАВО!!!
Absolutely wonderful! I'm learning so much from three different users of charcoal, and just by watching, I've picked up a lot of good techniques; as a result, my portraits and improved leaps and bounds in just three tries. Great stuff, you guys! This is so much better than hyper-realism, which I've personally never liked.

Is that a sachet hes using to start the drawing?
The real art here is all of us drawn into a conversation about it... I think the purpose of this piece was fulfilled... it got us talking... arguing exchanging experiences and ideas... hyper, low key, high key lighting, pencil or charcoal or oil ?... it really doesn't matter... just create 💪
I am speechless now and i can cry. What a talent and education?
Im definitly gonna steal that technique :D That is so genius. Im charcoal sticks always break so this is perfect.
Finished product felt like a sculpture. Masterfully done.
Its Magical to see you sculpting the values forming 3 dimensional figure
This conveys deep emotions. Beautiful work. I’ve been trying to decide what to do with the drawing. I’ve been anticipating of an angel and I think I’ve got my answer right here. Thank you so much I normally strive towards realism, but I just didn’t feel right about it for this drawing thank you for the teaching.
I really don’t understand how charcoal can draw so cool!!!
No words to describe your talent.
Your portrait is amazing.
WOW! HOLY MOlY I have never seen this technique done before DIDN'T teach this in Art school. i have seen portrait results before but i didn't know how it was done. thanks for sharing i will incorporate this technique into my repertoire. Maestro!
Hats off to this demonstration, congratulations, incredible result with such limited use of tools.
Especially using only the blending stump and I don't know if it's also a cloth or a sponge.
Could you clarify this for me?
Your mastery is especially evident in the correct application of medium-high and very high values.
This is the type of art I appreciate unlike hyper realitic and photorealism, I've got nothing against it but it doesn't involve much creativity which art is all about 💖
That's such an unique way to manage the technique, it looks so smooth contrary to the rough texture I get
Yo soy pintor tambien , pero admiro ese tipo de tecnogia del carboncillo , es fascinante , voy a empezar a probarlo , se ve super sencillo y deforma todas los esguemas tradicionales , felicitaciones .
This is absolutely mesmerizing to watch..the use of contrast to give it depth is surreal. Almost looks like a marble sculpture. What is the name of the Artist?
Feels more like sculpting than drawing. Awesome
Stunning! I am never been so impressed with a demonstration or the results. Thank you.
Yeah! it feels like sculpting the figure, absolutely beautiful. Wonderful technique.
You could do this anytime in Human history, and people would be amazed just like today.
Wow, Wonderful!!!!! Thank you for sharing your gift with us!!!!!
Didn’t know it was possible to carve portraits out of paper. Went wow
It is indeed a work of art as well as the realistic/hyperrealistic drawing. I am a realistic artist and i appreciate all kinds of art. I'm on my way to learn this technique too. Sure we know that using camera is easier and quicker than drawing realistic when it comes to making the same result.
I like your way to portrait people, making the general shape first and then the details later step by step like carving sculptures.
これ大好きです。タッチも繊細で柔らかい。素晴らしいです。
Beautiful... Classic style..... I wish to learn... Thank you so much for sharing 🙏💐
Love from INDIA
Me agrada mucho tu estilo, de golpes suaves cubistas de luz y sombras

Are you "dipping" your blending stump into charcoal powder?
Amazing drawing. ❤
Awesome work!! Reminds me Andrew Loomis sketches. Love it
Really awesome and inspiring. Thank you for posting this
very interesting that you started with a sponge. i've never seen that before.
That's genius, it looks like you're using a beauty blender on the base smudges at the beginning!
Is that what that is? I didn’t know? Does it ever make the shadows soft tho..
masterclass skill indeed its amazing how he just use a blending stump out of this, about that red thing I think it's a cloth or an eraser he just dip it with charcoal powder just like his blending stump. amazing techniques so dreamy and inspiring
Amazing superb charcoal work. Salute to Artist
able to work wonders in the hands of an excellent artist
