- PADI Divemaster Stress Test & Equipment Exchange needs to be performed during the PADI Divemaster Course. The PADI Divemaster Stress Test • Equipment Exchange can be performed in a few different ways, this version was not rehearsed and was the first try for these PADI Divemaster Candidates.
Check out these items used in this video:

➡️ Ikelite 6870.70 Underwater Camera Housing: amzn.to/2SN5y3g

✅ Scuba Pro MK 25 Regulator: amzn.to/2zhk38A

These Divemaster candidates wanted to perform the equipment exchange in 3 versions. The first PADI equipment exchange (also known as a stress test during the Divemaster course) they wanted to practice it stationary, the second and the version showing in this TH-cam video they wanted to be neutrally buoyant and in the last version of the PADI equipment exchange they moved from the deep end to the shallow end of the pool.
These are the PADI standards to perform this exercise according to the PADI Instructor Manual:
Exercise 5 - Equipment Exchange
In confined water, demonstrate the ability to effectively
respond to an unusual circumstance underwater by
exchanging all scuba equipment (except exposure suits and
weights) with a buddy while sharing a single regulator
second stage earning a minimum score of 3.
Conduct:
• Orient candidates to procedures for sharing a single regulator
second stage, including exhalation between breaths and not
covering the purge button as the regulator is passed back and
forth.
• Give buddy teams less than five minutes to discuss the
exercise.
• Have candidates begin sharing a single regulator second stage
in water too deep in which to stand, exchange equipment and
continue sharing air until they reach shallow water.
• Do not assign problems - allow candidates to resolve any
naturally-occuring ones.
Score Criteria
5 Task performed in a well-thought-out, efficient
and purposeful manner with no sign of
problems; very low anxiety level. Looks routine
and appears easy.
4 Task performed competently with a relatively
low anxiety level. Challenges encountered were
easily and efficiently handled.
3 Complete exchange occurred without
surfacing. However, numerous challenges were
encountered that delayed the speed and
efficiency of the performance. This score is also
appropriate for a diver overly dependent on
another.
2 Significant problems demonstrated, and
exchange completed only after one or both
team members surfaced once.
1 Inability to complete the exchange; or
exchange completed with one or both divers
surfacing more than once.

Could you redo this with the current COVID 19 protocols?
I am working on it :)
Is this also required for the IDC & IE? Or only for Divemaster course?
Awesome vid😺

Have a great day!
I'm doing my divemaster at the moment and I would have thought it would be more controllable if they deflated the bcd first .in this video the pair are all over the shop.
sayittrue where are you doing it ? Wanna start mine soon
@@aymenem5304 I'm doing mine in the UK.but at the moment all diving parts of the course has stopped.all I'm doing is just reading the manuals over and over again.car t wait til covid 19 lockdown is over
sayittrue yeah same here i live in Boston and all are closed imma buy the E learning from PADi and start it next week
Ayy_men19 my instagram. Let’s work it out together
@@aymenem5304 I don't do Instagram just Facebook
@@aymenem5304 when you start your water skill I found the best way to do them is slowly and over emphising them to show you know what your doing and the person watching you can clearly see what your doing..The 400m swim was hard for me as I did mine in a 5mm wetsuit and boots directly after that did the 100m Diver tow and to follow that did the equipment exchange.to say the least after that physical exertion that test was easiest to do as I was tired and didn't need to rush through it.just when you do that one make sure you have all your weights on a weight belt and not in your BCD if you an integrated weight system.ive got a scubapro hydro's BCD so I normally have weights in that and on a belt.
Sempre vejo esses testes no fundo da piscina com flutuabilidade negativa, já aqui uma situação mais próxima do real, apesar da possibilidade quase nula.
Yes, that was the idea to make it more realistic neutrally buoyant. They did practice a few more times :)
Whay they exchange matérielle
Newer version, with better quality coming soon!
What is this for?
This is the PADI equipment exchange exercise during the PADI Divemaster course. Here Divemaster candidates learn to deal with more stressful situations underwater.
a bit too reckless. surface like that on a deep dive and your f'd
There didn't need to be really did there. It was bad enough without that. .
Yes, the 4 feet or less of depth variation was a real concern.... Give me a break..
This was a training practice session for them neutrally buoyant. They did it a few more times and aced it in the end :)
Must remember to stow those dangly bits before final ok guy's. This is in no way acceptable, let alone passable.
Bad in what way ?
This was their first try neutrally buoyant. It is easier on the knees. They did this skill multiple more times and nailed it in the end. Repetition is key :)
