Hi there. I found your walks from a notification in my YT inbox. Im 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 and im very impressed at how clean and organised everywhere is that you've shown. No dirty beer and vomit/pee stained pavements, graffiti on buildings, Its not what i expected as compared to the present day state of the UK 👍 I have relatives living in the Thornton area in one of the many condo developments and she has said many times to come over for a holiday. Your walkabouts are changing my opinions now. Many thanks, DougT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The name Long Street is very appropriate for the city bowl. However, the longest continuous road is actually Voortrekker Road. It stretches all the way from Bellville to Woodstock, about 30 kilometers. Do not attempt to walk it and, especially do not try drive the whole length. It is designed for short distances between the various suburbs and the whole distance has a gazillion traffic lights.

Cape Town has got over 50 City improvement districts. Johannesburg has got 15 Pretoria about 2. That's the difference. What you see in Maboneng is because of CID, same as bank city around Fnb, Rosebank aswell. Some call it BID, BRZ, SID but it's the same thing. It's a Canadian city improvement model adopted in New Orleans than later New York to curb urban degeneration, other countries followed this model Australia, UK, NZ, Serbia, Albania, Germany, Ireland, Singapore and the Netherlands. Check it out, you'll understand why Cape Town may look cleaner than Johannesburg. I believe Johannesburg will get there it has started already 😉

Which north African city looks like this ?😂
A lot of European influence , what you mean ? So clean , developed , beautiful city is a European thing ? What a st*pid mentality you got , buddy. There are cities in Europe that are not on cape Town standard in terms of beauty , development!....so I don't get this st*pid stigma of yours , buddy .
