Great to hear! Yes, positioning is very important. High tier gameplay, especially, you can't just yolo swing on your opponents (unless you're in a Russian tank) so you have to out play them most of the time.

Low terrain, lowest possible particles and effects, 16x Atristropy, TAA Max render resolution, max textures with high res texture pack, max foliage render range and quality.
@@dro4982 If you're only going to invest in one nation, Russia. They have the best top tier, best close air support, best helis, best air superiority fighter, best ships, and they're near best or arguably best for every battle rating lineup that you can imagine. Their tech trees don't have any gaps, they have total coverage for every role from reserve tier to 12.0. Sweden has a great top tier lineup, and that's where it ends. They don't have good cas, their best heli is a russian premium, and they have significant gaps in their lower tier content. USA, Russia, and Germany are really the only "complete" nations that are effective all the way through, the Russian tanks are just the easiest to use almost universally.

Indeed, I'm using the Gunner Heat PC sound mod combined with the Squad reload sound mod. It's significantly more immersive than the standard crew vo, and after hearing the new vo coming to War Thunder, I think the GHPC mod still sounds better. The rework is a step in the right direction though, hopefully all nations get something similar and I will consider switching.
The M830A1 ammo unlockable on all late M1A1 variants and the M1A2s is called MPAT (multi purpose anti tank) and contains a proxy fuse that will detonate within 7 meters of helis and jets.

Yeah, I get like ~120 on the EU server and I get frustrated by it at times. I have a buddy from Australia, JapesWT on twitch, that plays with a similar ping it might be helpful to see how he copes with it lol
@@Wogby I'm playing from NZ. ww2 is generally fine, I've gotten quite good at times despite the ping. Top tier is brutal and the players pool is smaller and vicious. Generally idk wtf is going on regardless if we winning or losing.

Gunner Heat PC sound mod. Crew lines are directly ripped from that game. Sounds a lot better than the stock crew voices lol.

Did you change your graphics for the night battles? It looks like you increased the grain on the resolution? Does this give an advantage?
I turned on an Nvidia filter for night battles. Gamma, shadows, and sharpness are adjusted enough that I don't use night vision any more.
