Socks drying apology is totally unnecessary. When I see a hobbyist video with regular household stuff going on, I know I've come to the right place. It's a mark of authenticity!

Not only is this a very space-efficient solution, but as you said it protects the paints from sunlight exposure and it also keeps the dropper bottles angled correctly so that paint doesn't sit in the nozzle. I'm glad that you mentioned that last point because I'd never considered it before, and the paint rack I recently bought has the dropped bottles angled upside down.

I have done exactly this with a pair of Alex units and a 3m worktop as the desk. Left Alex has all paint organised at an angle just like this and Right Alex has all the brushes, air brush gubbins and a small tray with working paints in for the current project i can just pop out as needed. I used 25mm plastic angle for the Citadel paints (Amazon). I now have a cupboard full of expensive plywood racks I don't use.

Very nice. Regarding paint inventories, I actually created a Paint spreadsheet where I record all of the paints and models I own.
If you use data validation to create a picklist of the details, adding in new paints is easy and it really helps to be able to tell that I don't need yet another pot of Blood Red.

I did something similar, though I installed a bracket system that lets me adjust the size of the sections for the paints laterally. I also put cheap mousepads in the bottom to keep my paints from sliding. Bonus, they have sweet 40K designs on them for a little visual appeal.

Nice job looks great , I know how messy things can get in the hobby . I got a craft trolley with 6 shallow plastic tray draws 3" deep and 3 deep plastic bin draws 5 1/2" deep . Its on wheels has a nice platform on top for bigger stuff , fits under my desk and it cost me £55 from hobbycraft. You could add draw dividers inside the draws if needed . This could be a cheaper option if your on a lower budget and the bigger bins are handy for tools ect .

I just ended up having a monitor stand with shelves to house basing materials, and accessories and a product called hex hive to hold all my non-kimera paints. The hex hive has been so good as it builds together like a hive and will stay 1 bottle deep regardless of how tall it gets.
The only issue I have is the Kimeras don't fit in that, so sit on the monitor stand in front of the hex hive.

But a couple drawers were just ephermera which I've already thought about unloading since that drawer rarely gets opened. Also, mine is white so I think I'm gunna cover the drawer fronts with peel and stick wallpaper because I'm bored with the white after 10 years.

Been using thesme IKEA drawer in white for several years now, nice tip with the strips for containing the Citadel/Vallejo bottles. I've been using plastic gardening trays from Wilkinsons to segregate my paints, contrast/metallis/base/layer/airbrush across the drawers. Use the top drawer for hobby tool storage, agaiin use gardening/cutlery plastic trays to store the tools in so I can remove them completely from the drawer if I need to get to anything at the back of the drawer, top drawer is the perfect height for Tamiya thin cement bottles as well - I have a thin glue and a sprue-glue bottles. I have an IKEA computer desk with a 90 degree return the drawers sit under, had to remove the casters from the base to get it to fit under the desk.

gotta admit its a cool idea but my main issue is the horizontal space... the desk space..its very very limited so i need a wall solution for sure ;) i really would love if paint producers would add a colored dot on the bottle top so you can see your colors much easier :D

Wall solutions work well. I live in a rented place so can’t drill into the walls sadly

You could attach acrylic nail shelves with the “Command Picture Hanging Strips” to the walls without drilling

@@HellstormWargaming Command strips are your friend. I use clear nail polish racks that are attached to my walls using command strips.
