Excellent reproduction of Sawyers tying methods. I love to see these old flies tied this way. I have made my nymphs that way for ever. All the best, Sean
Thank you Sean ! It's a bit hard that way at the beginning but it's very nice after a few flies to tie like Sawyer and others old styles. All the best. Alexis
Arkansas Red You're welcome. Never fished the killer bug but i'm it works as good as the pheasant tail. We use more "generic" shrimp nymphs here in France. All the best
Alain Duffau Bonsoir Alain. Le fil fait 0.09mm. C'est du JMC extra fin de mémoire. Une nouvelle vidéo sur la.pheasant tail de Sawyer arrivera prochainement je pense, il y aura plus d'informations. Merci pour ton visionnage. Alexis

Looking good 👍
What size hook was this tied on? I tie mine on # 14 hooks. What do you use?
Arkansas Red It was a 14 aswell but I tie them from 12 to 22 on french hooks or TMC 3769
Thanks Alexis, I tie the Sawyer Killer Bug using only copper wire and no thread. I like Sawyer's Pheasant Tail. I'll try some of those.

Sometime you'll have to get over to our Ozark mountain streams and try your luck with or wild/domestic Ozark trout. We've got some big ones.
