NEW PLOWING RECORD - 150 Case pulling 60' of plows!!

  • Watch the 150 Case Road Locomotive walking down the field in the driest, hardest plowing conditions we have had with 50 John Deere plows. There were areas where the plows wouldn't go in deep enough to pull smooth, but rather bulldozed a 60' swath. Over 80,000 lbs of direct pull on the hitch to drag this load across the field, a remarkable showing of the power of steam!
Thank you to the entire team of volunteers who made this happen. See where we're headed next at www.150case.com!

Awesome, I love watching those steam engines work. I grew up on a dairy farm and loved to see the ground being ploughed. When I got older a was able to do that work too. Really miss it!

Awesome seeing it in action. Still in awe this machine is a century younger than one would assume. Hopefully someday you bring it to a steam show in Michigan

Kory, can you do a point of view on fueling and operating the 150? That would be an awesome video!

It’d be interesting to see how many bottoms it could pull before it lost traction. Also, how big are the bottoms?

Im curious have you ever made/atempted to design a snall unit for modern useage? Like a 40hp tractorthat one person could operate that runs of charcoal or wood?

Some of the smaller case steam engines still exist and also some have been made by these kinds of folk in modern time too using the original blueprints. There's a vid of Kory testing out the claims the case company had made of it back when it was 1st made. Case did not exaggerate the sheer power this beast has.

Only in America. Where else in the world could this happen? Without miles of fencing and police attendance. Long live the land of the free.

Cuz pulling 50 12” bottoms 6” deep gets the record pulling 50 20” bottoms 12” deep stops it dead in its tracks. It’s just a show but still an impressive one even if it isn’t maxed.
