AEW's Biggest FUMBLES So Far

- AEW has existed for just over 5 years and safe to say it’s been a rollercoaster of a 5 years for AEW. In those 5 years we’ve seen many wrestlers crossover from WWE to AEW and only a select few who have done the reverse and gone from AEW to WWE. But of those select few there are a couple wrestlers who I think AEW really should’ve done better to retain. So let’s talk about it, let’s talk about AEW’s biggest fumbles so far!

Jade Cargills AEW debut segment is one of the wildest, most confusing and unintentionally hilarious segments I have ever seen 😂
It’s pretty unfortunate that Jade Cargill didn’t really have a big program with one of the top AEW female wrestlers like Britt Baker or Thunder Rosa. But now that she’s in WWE she can have rivalries against Charlotte, Becky, Bayley and Bianca
Yeah that was a big missed opportunity only because she had the tbs champion too long waiting for Kris Statlander to come back.
@@godIyx Yeah, Kris's injury delayed Jade's rise to the top, which is unfortunate for both of them
@@artirony410 more like outright threw it away. By the time Kris came back, Jade's contract was nearly up.
@@GGMK2002 yeah its unfortunate it worked out that way
she hasn't done anything yet. she was in the rumble, that's it. TK was more than happy to put her in the world title picture against britt and rosa, but she had already made up her mind.
ya'll folks, this video... some of ya'll tend to forget, these people are real people... not toys. they're ultimately going to go where they want to go - to whatever company they feel they'd be best in. sometimes it's about the money, other times it's about the prestige. other times it's strictly business, and they just want to keep control of their brand... and other times, they want the challenge to be able to wrestle with the best in the world, from ANYWHERE in the world. nobody fumbled anyone... TK didn't "fumble" Jade, just like HHH didn't "fumble" mercedes, okada, or jay white...
now, are they booked well? that's another story... jay white was booked excellently when he first came in, and now... not so much. i can say the exact same thing about karrion kross, who still hasn't stuck. or the fact tat bray wyatt (god rest) was booked miserably on his final comeback. both of these companies make big mistakes... it shouldn't add as ammo for tribalism.
Jade turned down every contract offer Tony offered her. So, I'm guessing she just wanted to leave for the WWE.
Not putting Jade in the same lights as those women's main eventer like Hayter, Shida, Storm, Baker was criminal. All they ever did was feeding her jobbers and the way they took the TBS title off her was so dumb
1) AEW had a lot of injuries, mostly in their mid card
2) Jade was awful in the ring during most of her time as TBS champion. Not one person benefitted in the division wrestling Jade, not even Kris Statlander who took the title from her because Jade was going to WWE. However Julia Hart did benefit from wrestling Kris for the TBS title which led to Julia now being the current TBS champion and becoming a mid carter
3) You don't put a green wrestler with your top talent just because you think Jade looks like a star. There's a reason Tiffany Stratton has a 8.07 score on Cagematch and the huge "star" Jade Cargill has a 4.92 on Cagematch currently. To put that in perspective. Tiffany is 24 who had her first match in November 2021 and has wrestled 70 matches in total, Jade is 31 who had her first match in March 2021 and has wrestled 65 matches in total
She didn't deserve it tfuq? LOL
@@goodfella1401you make a good point, if only AEW had like a PC she probably could’ve improved
Jade Cargill was one of the most pushed awful wrestler of this era of wrestling. She improved a bit on the End of the run, but girl you're training with Danielson for a year and you're still that bad ? F Off. I was really glad she left AEW. Most of wrestlers she squashed were at least three times better than her. People talk about the attitude or character work, good charisma, fake confidence, bad promo. Hayter's on the opposite spectrum, she's one of the great non-japanese wrestler of her generation.
@ninofrp4252 agreed she struggled to even remember what her spots were in WWE when people praised all they really talk about is her looks.
Singing Rush and not dragon Lee made no sense whatsoever
True. I think that's when Andrade decided to coast until his contract was over. LFI could've been insane, with the forbidden door, imagine Naito vs Kenny for a title and then LFI helps Naito win.
Cody Rhodes
CM Punk
Jade Cargill
Dragon Lee
Andrade
Cody: kinda his own fault for booking himself into a corner with never being able to challenge for the world title
CM Punk: this is Punk's own fault. Dude was handed everything and screwed it up for himself twice somehow
Jade: I put this in another comment but I think had Kris Statlander not gotten injured, they could've ended up keeping Jade. Before Stat's injury, she was clearly being set up to dethrone Jade, but then they just kinda had Jade in a holding pattern waiting for Stat to come back and this cooled her off immensely because she was stuck holding a belt with no credible challengers. I think had Kris not gotten hurt, it would've accelerated Jade's rise to the top in AEW because it would've gotten her out of the quagmire of a directionless TBS title run and into programs with top people instead of just squashing jobbers.
Dragon Lee: Dragon Lee wasn't even signed but yeah I guess they could've maybe done more to keep him. He seems to definitely be showing his worth more in WWE now than he did in his handful of AEW appearances.
Andrade: dude clearly didn't even want to be there and was just waiting everything out until WWE would rehire him
Tf dragon lee doing here one of these things is not like the others😂😂
@@artirony410What do AEW have only two top women wrestlers?
They could have had Jade wrestle some of the other main women stars are potential stars while waiting for Statlander to return, not have her do squash matches against jobbers.
@@dhenderson1810 while in principle I'm not against this idea, I think it wouldn't have made sense in execution. If Jade was now beating the top tier women's talent, her losing to Stat would make it look like she lost to someone way below her level
Cargill was the biggest star that hadn’t wrestled in WWE or on the indies, and I still am upset they didn’t retain her talents.
TK tried to retain her.Cuz he knew her potential. But she made her choice and he respect it.
She is okay. She is strong and athletic. Her promos are ghetto cringe.
@@marktheshark7588yeah that’s true but I felt if the AEW women’s division was better at that point in time she probably would’ve stayed
I put this in another comment but I think had Kris Statlander not gotten injured, they could've ended up keeping Jade. Before Stat's injury, she was clearly being set up to dethrone Jade, but then they just kinda had Jade in a holding pattern waiting for Stat to come back and this cooled her off immensely because she was stuck holding a belt with no credible challengers. I think had Kris not gotten hurt, it would've accelerated Jade's rise to the top in AEW because it would've gotten her out of the quagmire of a directionless TBS title run and into programs with top people instead of just squashing jobbers.
is it possible that TK could've thrown BIG BIG BIG money her way.... and she still wanted to wrestle at WWE? they're not toys... they're adults who are making serious business decisions on their own.
Probably a big one is letting have Chris Jericho have creative control like hogan did in WCW
Even letting go of Lexis King was a fumble because he's being build up quite nicely even and hopefully winning the north american title.
Yes, Pillman Jr could've been something great in AEW.
Imagine him going on a long losing streak and with every loss he becomes more unhinged until eventually becomes his father's character the loose cannon.
That would have been great to see.
youre crazy dawg, you can have his ass and his fake ass goatee implant, griff and julia better lol. dude got like 0 charisma with that gimmick
No, it wasn't. He has no charisma and is a mediocre worker.
Bro is mid stop it
You should do a list of wrestlers currently on the AEW roster that have been wasted or lost in the shuffle that can offer a lot more to the product.
Can offer more to the product:
-LFI: Granted Rush is injured and is just now coming back but I think they'd make awesome trios champs.
-Nick Comoroto: What happened to this guy? He always looked so awesome and intimidating whenever he got on TV and they just did nothing with him. Idk why he wasn't given booking like a monster the way they did for Hobbs and Wardlow.
-Nick Wayne: you have this young wrestling prodigy on your roster that so many people were excited to see in the company and you just are having him...never wrestle???? Dude is like 18 years old, he NEEDS to be getting reps in on TV. Even if once a week on Rampage he and Luchasaurus were in tag team squashes or something it would be an improvement.
Lost in the shuffle:
-Takeshita: they're kinda righting this now with getting him a PPV singles match with Ospreay coming up but him beating Omega twice should've put him in the world title scene, not in a heatless directionless feud with Jericho where he can't even beat Jericho clean. They need to start presenting this dude like a god.
-Powerhouse Hobbs: Another victim of the Don Callis/Chris Jericho heatless directionless feud. This guy is a former singles champion but by how he's booked now, you'd never know it.
-Miro: although this is probably his own fault for his widely rumored refusal to ever do the job for anyone. He'll just disappear from TV for long stretches of time until creative gives him something he deems acceptable I guess.
It would be easier to make a list of wrestlers they haven't wasted or lost in the shuffle.
Aleister Black, Miro, Will Hobbs, Jay White, FTR, Keith Lee, Claudio Castagnoli, Wardlow, Serena Deeb, Thunder Rosa.
right, because everyone HHH has signed so far has been booked brilliantly... save for karrion kross, or dragon lee, or johnny gargano, or gable steveson, or bronn breakker, or jade (who's only wrestled once since being signed)..... it goes both ways.
@@joeyclemenza7339 HHH doesn’t book AEW or its wrestlers which is what this topic is about. That’s another conversation on his failings, but he’s had a lot more booking success than Tony Khan.
AEW fans are so defensive all the time!
Jade Cargill did not fumble in AEW. She lost twice in her entire AEW career. I would say they fumbled CM Punk before I ever say they fumbled Jade Cargill.
You know AEW fumbled when all you did was say she lost 2 times. Nothing else rememberable in her AEW career no match or feud , nope just lost 2times
Read the title again…
@@SixShotRick two losses at the very end of her career. Literally the last two matches she had. It's not like she lost her 3rd match and her 27th match only. No she was undefeated and the TBS Champion, on TV every week, and WWE probably wouldn't have signed her if she wasn't considered and/or treated like a star.
@@meatwad376 I don't need to, I can name 5 people AEW actually fumbled than the 3 he listed. Malakai Black, Ruby Soho, Miro, Saraya, Andrade
@@RomaroBrandon then make your own video dork
The biggest fumble in AEW is their entire womens division.
Fun fact: Not everyone that was in the nightmare factory, was in a student showcase, they should've put Jade Cargill on a couple of them so we would know who she is.
No offense, but these are awful picks:
1- As I said on a short you uploaded a few weeks ago, Bea Priestley was only in AEW during the pre-pandemic days, and it wasn't even her main gig at the time (that being Stardom, where she happened to be World of Stardom champ for most of 2019). It's not either side's fault the pandemic hit and they had to part ways
2- Dragon Lee was mainly in Mexico pre-WWE, and they got him before AEW could offer anything serious to him. To fumble someone they should be an actual roster member in the first place
3- Jade wasn't fumbled by AEW; quite the opposite. If anything, she was the most overpushed talent in company history so far, being given a year and a half title reign that did nothing for the TBS title and even less for those she faced, mainly cause of her being severely limited in-ring (not being able to wrestle matches over 10 minutes), and then left immediately afterwards. If anything, AEW should've given Tay Conti or Ruby Soho the title in the first place and kept Jade on a background role until she was ready for longer matches. She wasn't ready for a title reign, let alone be pushed as one of the faces of the Women's division; and Tony waiting for Statlander to come back frol her ACL tear made things worse
Overall, there are way better picks for this topic: Punk is an obvious one (or better put out, not being able to resolve the Brawl Out situation in a better way and allowing him to cause problems once he came back until Wembley), Andrade could be there as well and for the third one you could throw in the whole Cody situation (especially the last year).
i agree with your points, but he did say that he wouldnt be mentioning punk, rhodes and andrade because he has already talked about them tons
Rubo Soho? She means nothing. She was over very briefly because of her entrance music. She's not remotely attractive enough or good enough of a worker to mean anything. Tay Conti is a mediocre worker. Andrade was and always will be an upper mid-carder. In-ring he's great, but he's poor on the mic and there are others far more deserving of a push, Rush to name just one.
Aew fans trying to cope is funny
@@goby1764 Looking at your comments over here you're the only one trying to cope.
Kiana James & Thea Hail also wrestled their first ever match in AEW
I say they are doing pretty well for themselves in NXT right now.
@@dacobylaw4721 just saying Jade & Hook aren’t the only ones who wrestled there first ever matches in AEW
TK is probably over the moon that he got rid of Jade, Pillman jr, Jack Perry and Shawn Spears for Mercedes, Okada, Ospreay and Shibata.
For real
How you know that. All those wrestlers you mentioned did hurt TK.Especially,Jade.Because she was integral in helping him to build AEW's women's division. But she made her choice and he respected that.
Jack is not gone. He's the hero that saved AEW from becoming the CM Punk show. Pillman Jr. was a dime a dozen, Shawn Spears was only interesting as MJF's stooge and Jade as TBS champion stifled the entire mid cart for over a year because she was incredibly green in the ring as the TBS champion
@@goodfella1401Every day I thank Jack for saving us. Thankfully they didn't gut the heart of their roster and pissed everyone off just to keep Punk who can't stay healthy
Let's see it Mercedes actually makes them money bcoz other Japanese guys aren't making aew any money
Jade was in a triple threat with Thunder Rosa and Nyla Rose. I think she technically lost here but wasn’t pinned. Later, she beat Thunder Rosa for her title. WWE might not stray from something like this.
Bea/Blaire was unfair to add to this list. She injured a bunch of wrestlers then had to leave to go back to England due to COVID. This has killed PACs career with AEW too. AEW could never know she would go on to be as good as she was.
Ehhhhhhh, they could've known from her Stardom work that she was good. That's the same reason they picked up Jamie Hayter. idk if Blair is really a fumble. I guess they could've just paid her to stay home and do nothing with the promise she'd have something to do when the COVID restrictions were inevitably relaxed but no one knew when that would be and she wasn't quite as established of a name as someone like PAC
Rush and Andrade know how important a luchadors mask is. To unmask him with no significant program as compensation is criminal. Shoulda told Tony no if the unmasking was his idea. Remember how neutered the unmasked Rey Mysterio was?
Maybe its just me but i feel like There’s a lot of wrestlers out there that doesnt like going to NXT first but the wrestlers that do go to NXT first fares so much better once they go to the main roster. Dragon Lee, Nakamura, heck, even Damage CTRL.
Excellent video review
Jade Cargill was too green for her entire AEW career!
didn't stop them from mega pushing Britt Baker
@@artirony410 But Britt Baker wasn’t as green as Jade Cargill! Jade could be great if she gets actual training!
@thatsadogshittheory8485 Exactly!
That’s AEW’s fault for not training and developing her properly. We’ll see how things pan out in WWE but with some decent training, she’s a potential top star.
@@gmac673 Well AEW could set up an training program at Daily Place or buy an building with all of Tony Khan money!
Other ones I can think of that’s blows my mind with aew is Thea hail, Fallon Henley, and Kianna James all wrestled for aew but didn’t get signed
Jade stated in a podcast that going into aew Tony knew she wanted to go to wwe to advance her acting career.
Aew could of really really used Blair Davenport with how bad the women’s division is
You can argue Jade was too green and was wrestling like once a week, however they had a woman who was going to be a star and should have done more to give support with training ect so she wouldnt be as green while protecting her on tv. I actually forgot Dragon Lee even wrestled in AEW haha
Being green didn't stop them from mega pushing Britt Baker
Didn't "Kermit The Frog" say back in 1969 that "It's not easy being green?"😂😏🐸💚 While I am on the subject am I the only one who savors how intensely ironic that it is that a Woman named "Jade" is mocked for being "too green?"😂😉💚🎤💪🤼♀️B.W.
My picks for the WWE ones are Swerve, Toni Storm, and PAC.
Adam Cole. WWE was toying with him being a manager.
Cole and pac haven't done anything in AEW that's better than their work in WWE yet. Swerve is already better and is on a nice trajectory to be light years better than his NXT work. Toni Storm has been better also but might be reaching her ceiling soon but I hope not; i really like her work.
@@jamquick5298PAC's Omega & OC feuds are way better than his DG and WWE runs
@@jamquick5298 with Cole you can at least say he main evented Wembley, which was a bigger show than most WWE talent will ever main event
Honestly aew could've had their own bianca belair in jade cargill. But decided not to tap into that
Jade is more Charlotte
Bea/Blair also had a fight backstage with Sadie gibbs which I'm sure is part of why both of them were released
Lee and Blair, completely agree.
Jade, Aew treated her like a star for presentation and protected her in ring from exposure. I think they were going to move her up to the main scene post Stat but it was just too late for Jade.
Aew should have pivoted to either Athena or willow. I think jade is happier in Wwe because she gets the reps off camera and is still viewed as a special attraction.
Pretty sure Jade vs Thunder Rosa happened at the tbs tournament semi finals
Love your videos
Bea Priestley didn't get fumbled, she went back home cuz of her mom being ill and because she was more contracted to Stardom than she was to AEW.
Dragon Lee didn't get fumbled, he only showed up for a handful of times anyhow despite being with Rush.
and Jade Cargill? are we fuckin SERIOUS? the woman who went 62 wins without losing? the very same woman TK was extremely high on in getting over (which succeeded)? bro just stop.
literally none of these are a fumble. but the weird part about it... is this video shows how 3 people went from AEW to WWE and you think they were fumbled when they weren't. Dragon Lee is the only one of the 3 who's gotten any level of a push btw. Jade was ass actually doing nothing before and after the RR and Bea has been wasted since the day she came in.
The major issue with Cargill's run was because they kept the title on her too long cause they wanted her to lose to Statlander, who got injured before yhe scheduled match. They should have had her either lose to someone else or use her win record to go after the main title
Jade Cargill, I'd say Cody made his opinion known about her to WWE and they opened the cheque books to her 😊 good on her honestly
Keith Lee. HOW THE HELL DO YOU FUMBLE THE LIMITLESS ONE?!
You put him in a bloated roster, make him tag with random people and wear a cape.
Because Shane Taylor's always been the better former partner.
There's no point in having talent that you do not have the structureor plans as well as a good constant developing environment for them. They didn't have that for Jade and she's not the only one so I respect the fact that they were able to part ways.
What has Jade done in WWE. CM Punk is injured just like he was in AEW, and Cody was never going to be the star he is today in AEW. The fanbases are different. Cody is basically the modern day Cena/Hulk Hogan and his merch looks like it came from Walmart which their fan base loves.
No one else is worth mentioning
Cody Rhodes was a huge fumble also
eh, Cody did it to himself with the "I will never challenge for the world title" thing
I can't watch AEW anymore. I used to love it - the exciting matches, storylines, and not knowing what to expect or who was going to show up. Now it feels so... flat and uninspired. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the matches are still great, but there's nothing encouraging me to watch it. Plus, WWE's really picked up these past few years (with Vince out of the picture).
#1 not settling the Punk and Elite Drama if TK put his foot down and was a boss instead of a rich wrestling fan …
I like how it says, "...so far." Like, we're expecting less?
Too bad this video didn't come out after their last Dynamite where they really shit the bed.
idk if Blair is really a fumble. I guess they could've just paid her to stay home and do nothing with the promise she'd have something to do when the COVID restrictions were inevitably relaxed but no one knew when that would be.
Dragon Lee wasn't even signed but yeah I guess they could've maybe done more to keep him. He seems to definitely be showing his worth more in WWE now than he did in his handful of AEW appearances. It'll always be hilarious to me that FTR dropped the AAA tag belts to Dragon Lee and Dralistico only for them to immediately vacate the belts since Dragon Lee was going to WWE.
Jade I agree with being a fumble and I think a lot of her progress was hampered as a result of Kris Statlander's injury. Before Stat's injury, she was clearly being set up to dethrone Jade, and then they just kinda had Jade in a holding pattern and this cooled her off immensely because she was stuck holding a belt with no credible challengers. I think had Kris not gotten hurt, it would've accelerated Jade's rise to the top in AEW because it would've gotten her out of the quagmire of a directionless TBS title run and into programs with top people instead of just squashing jobbers.
I feel like too this is just a lose/lose for AEW. They sign someone and they aren't instantly rocketed to the top of the card and aren't on every single show? Oh AEW fumbled them. They don't sign someone or release someone? Oh AEW fumbled them.
Same wcpw I miss so much
Blair i don't think is a fumble on their part as she wasn't available for them for so long, Jade is a much better fit in wwe and is on good terms with aew so idk define her leaving as a fumble, but sintead I'd define her title run as a fumble as she wasn't featured as highly
Besides Jade, none of these even crack the top 10 of AEW fumbles.
As of right now Jade cardil is stuck in the tag team division with Bianca baler and Naomi and won the women's tag team championship so it's so far not been good if the first title she won at the WWE were tag team belts
Them not having Davenport is part of what lead them to Ospreay. Dragon Lee they tried to sign, he took WWE deal over them. Jade is a better fit for WWE. She’s got an impressive look and that’s where it ends. She’s less talented than Nia Jax and more green in the ring. Hence why it’s taken WWE so long to bring in Cargill.
I do think that one problem AEW has is that in their excitement to get started and establish the company they signed more stars than they had storylines and work for. You’ve got some ‘big’ names sat with nothing to do.
It’s obvious all these “fumbles” can be easily replaceable
I wouldn’t really say punk was fumbled in AEW. He fumbled himself by getting into multiple fights backstage. He was a 2x world champion, being put into some of the best feuds with the likes of Darby Allin, Moxley and MJF
Blair Davenport was let go because she was legit knocking chicks out. It wasn't done purposely but once she pissed Britt off, she was gone.
I 💯 Agree With @RomaroBrandon's Comment
Same. This video blows.
The biggest loss was Big Swole, I mean when she showed up the Rumble and won. I knew WWE was gonna treat her like the star she is.
Big Swole never won a rumble or even was in WWE. Oh my god are you really getting confused with who I think you're confused with??? You must be slow.
Jade has made it clear in her social media post that she wants to be world wide superstar, she tried out for wwe and got rejected then went and got in aew only to go back and get signed by wwe. Jade wants to be a celebrity and she will do anything to get that status so just as aew was a stepping stone so is wwe.
You’re making stuff up . She was not rejected at all , they wanted her in nxt & away from her family . Aew was an easier schedule .
& if the rock & John cena can do it why can’t she use wrestling as a stepping stone ? Doesn’t make her any less if a wrestler 😂 & wwe is about to give her a crazy monster run !
Bea was not a tumble. No way she'd achieve anything in the women's division at the time.
This video is poorly researched TK offered Jade Cargill a big offer but clearly Jade already had her mind set to WWE (I suspect contract tampering) but so be it.
AEW has fumbled quite a few. I'm not sure if it was the pandemic or just a bad decision but Tony not signing Elayna Black was a bad move. She's now doing her thing as Cora Jade.
Brian Pillman Jr/Lexis King was also a fumble. Tony never gave him the chance to work on his skills and kept him on Dark and Elevation. I don't think he'll be the one to beat Oba Femi but I wouldn't be surprised if he's the one after that to win the North American title
Jade Cargill was destined for better things. She wasn’t going to be mismanaged on a show with no clue how to handle its talent. She jumped as soon as she got the call. AEW wasn’t keeping her no matter what they paid.
Ayeee new video let’s go
They fumbled Ricky Starks, Wardlow, and Takeshita. Swerve is their only hope at this point
Dragon Lee tell me what’s he doing that’s relevant? Exactly 🤣
Eh dragon lee wouldnt be doing much if anything if he stayed, they have like a ton of masked wrestlers who look the same
I liked Shaq and Jade Cargill match vs Cody and Red Velvet
#1 fumble, turning a revolutionary company into a dixie carter lite promotion
I don't blame AEW for Jade leaving. AEW pushed her to the moon. They put a title on her and she held it for over a year. Tony Kahn offered her more money than the WWE, but she turned it down. Jade wants the exposure in mainstream from the WWE. AEW can't force anyone to resign.
I’m not gonna call Jade a fumble all the way. They booked her strong as hell…but a combination of TK’s bi polar booking, not knowing how to keep folks hot (she’s not the only victim of this), and not evolving Jade past a certain level just kinda made the if she would leave question turn into when.
@thatsadogshittheory8485 can you really call her a fumble if they made her the first TBS champion and gave her an undefeated streak? Not really in most cases. She is in a weird middle ground.
The whole place is 2010 R O H LITE with y2 nda running wild and the bucks looking after there mates
Andrade is a big one
Ah yes Andrade. The guy who was nothing more than a glorified mid carder dating Ric Flair's daughter. He has no main event status pal... Zero charisma.
He said he wasn’t going to talk about him
dude didn't even want to be there, he was just waiting out his time until WWE would hire him back. Idk if you can call that a fumble
I know Jade wasn't that great in the ring but she had so much potential in AEW. Even if she was the woman equivalent to Bret Hart, the booking still would've been the same. Her going to WWE is the right choice.
He could be female John Cena. You know Cena isn't that great in the ring but guy is hella power house
Cargil was not a waste. The only star AEW created in house
A lot of names that were built on Dark I could throw at you but I distill things into this. Are you aware that Anthony Bowens and Max Caster had NEVER teamed anywhere until they paired on Dark and grew into The Acclaimed?
Hooks first matches in Create a Pro. Not AEW.
Jade was 50-0 that’s not a fumble idc how you spin it. She was average in the ring and AEW capitalized on that… that’s not a “fumble” imo🤷🏾♂️ hell she kept her same presentation in WWE that speaks for itself
AEW’s biggest fumble was losing Cody. Maybe it was always going to happen, but I feel like when Cody was there my interest in the product was at an all time high, and as soon as he left it dropped.
Punk coming back was a special moment but the backstage drama kinda soured the product and now it’s unwatchable. Meanwhile Cody went on to become arguably the biggest baby face the WWE has. And he’s still the main match on any card I want to see
So we just gonna act like andrade didnt just return to wwe. They kinda didnt do anything major with him
Being recruited on camera by The Judgment Day in Raleigh this past Monday night. Sets up a very intriguing Storyline for Charlotte Flair with Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, and her dedicated Frenemy Becky Lynch when she inevitably returns. And quite possibly Alexa Bliss as well.🤔😉🎤💃👸🤼♀️B.W.
Tony doesn't value women's wrestling. He doesn't book them to do anything interesting and outside of Storm never allows them to cut promos on TV. IMO this is going to lead to a lot of the top women leaving the company.
I think there’s other people also to add to the list if they don’t fix these asap before they end up leaving but pretty much they fumbled these
Keith Lee
Malakai Black
Buddy Matthews
Ricky Starks
Wardlow
Miro (kinda)
Lance Archer
Ruby Soho
Keith Lee: held back by injuries and never fully recovering from his illness
Malakai: doesn't even want to be there and is just waiting out his time until he can return to WWE
Buddy Matthews: doesn't even want to be there and is just waiting out his time until he can return to WWE
Ricky Starks: yeah, too many stop-start pushes. Should've been another MJF level young talent they had
Wardlow: I can't even fault AEW for this one. Dude was nothing without the MJF feud. He's never proved he's got potential beyond being a bigger personality's lackey
Miro: dude refuses to ever do the job so I can't fault creative for having nothing for him for long stretches of time
Lance Archer: dude is in his mid 40s and was never good
Ruby Soho: yeah, should be a bigger player in the women's division, not a lackey so someone less talented than her in every way
Ruby Soho was over very briefly because of her entrance music. She's not remotely attractive enough or good enough of a worker to mean anything. Serena Deeb is a vastly superior wrestler and she isn't championship material either.
@@artirony410A lot of these only signed with AEW because they were released from WWE.
A lot of them stayed because they didn't want to work for Vince McMahon specifically, but would work under Triple H.
@@dhenderson1810 yeah
AEW from the start has felt liek the final days of WCW.. The show is an absolute mess and for every good storyline theres like 15 bad ones
I feel like all their stories are great right now except Jericho v Callis
How the heck could AEW had keep Judas CarGreen when she she didn’t give a damn about straying whe wanted the popularity and money that only WWE could have there. She turned out to be a real life Jezabel showing complete disloyalty to AEW who had taken a chance on her WWE had passed what an awful and selfish individual she turned out to be a real S person.
AEW is a stepping stone, all these wrestlers know that. WWE is the end game.
Didn't really fumble Jade they didn't have anything for her
Jade was hated in aew
1. Blair Davenport? That would be a no. Her voice is death, she was not going to get over.
2. Dragon Lee? Sure, because he's gone on to become such a big star in the WWE.
3. Jade?!?!? Jade is a mediocre worker. Why do you think the WWE have used her sparingly? AEW made Jade, that's the opposite of a fumble.
The biggest fumble was Cody, ever since that idiotic world title stip.
Your wrong
how am i only learning that Davernport is Preistly
Most of current nxt stars are former aew dark wrestlers.
I like Davenport
Bro jade is a bigger lost then anyone else you named. I forgot those other 2 was even there. Jade is money those other 2 not. I guess u meant strictly wrestling.
another wwe mark
You can criticise AEW without watching WWE, deal with it
Except this TH-camr is using lies to bash aew. TK offered Jade alot of money and pushed to the money its not really a fumble if Jade wanted to go to wwe and leverage the Hollywood connection for a movie career.
I feel Lance Archer was a big fumble
How? Dude is in his mid 40s and was never good
Dude had the look the move set . Looked nasty had a mouth piece and they booked him as a scary heel challenger to lose on dynamite or have a over the top death match
Here after CM Punk's new pipe bomb
Jade was very lame in the ring, she just have the aesthetic, but her in ring performance is wack... like a goldberg or some shit like that.
BRO this is SUCH a FUMBLE
Lance Archer. They failed him badly and continue to fail him.
Arguably aew lost the plot letting Jade Cargill go buggest fumble aew has ever done
TK tried to retain her but she made her mind up already and wanted to try something new. Yeah it was a fumble in not keeping her but it happens
I wish I was the one who owned AEW, I woulda did a better job then stony Khon Artist
Cody wasn't a fumble anyway he doe a Drew x5 his goal always be main event mania as a face. He jst gets it n knew he'd changed the game time to go to WWE who hv improved added a faction n within month 3 wins over seth hhh running it n even giving his blessing to finsh story no rock roman rock bottom crossroads 123 after Cody vnit won twice solo then Jimmy bigoahai corner boom rock slides in. Nxt nyt bloodline turns face rock banishes reigns. As hh low mid upper always story's long term alot
Blair Davenport a fumble by AEW? Jamie Hayter is better and as far as Dragon Lee AEW has his two other brothers who are better.😏
To be fair aew has a bunch of dragon lee type guys l. I just dont feel like he would stay out there. He stands out way more in wwe then he would have in aew
They have 10 dragon lees
Jade Cargill is my all time favorite women's wrestler in this generation. I enjoyed her undefeated streak when she was TBS Champion in AEW at the time. AEW loss became WWE's gain. You already know Jade Cargill is gonna be a big star in WWE.
Forget about who AEW releases…. Look at all the people still under contract not being used. 75% of AEW/ROH is full of bench warmers
