- The optics/zoom for the sight were set to 8x and the bayonet was removed. Otherwise the rest is stock or as is when the weapon is unlocked.
While I do prefer this weapon because the sweet spot is so far out it makes it difficult to abuse I still wish the sweet spot mechanic or one hit to the chest capability was removed from the game for all sniper rifles. This is mainly because the weapons are so close to hitscan it doesn't take much effort to land body shot after body shot.
My possible suggestions to DICE:
Remove the sweet spot or "one body hit" mechanic for all normal sniper rifles. Or reduce that maximum damage of the sweet spot greatly so it's not doing 100 damage. Possible leave the Gewehr M.95 as is it's just the Scout class's version of a long range shotgun so it's not like they are going for headshots with that rifle to begin with. Then as a compromise leave the one hit capability on the Martini-Henry so the iron sight fanboys can have a slightly more rewarding experience.
An alternative suggestion would be to slow down the muzzle velocity ( bullet speed ) of the sniper rifles to where they actually require you to lead and account for drop because right now it's mostly point and click like the AWP from CS with the ranges you encounter on Battlefield 1 maps and that isn't exactly balanced when compared to the other class's weapons and their muzzle velocities vs infantry movement/strafe speed.
As much as I hate suppression in Battlefield one of the above changes would be required before DICE could make changes to the suppression mechanic itself. - เกม

There are many players that are good with one thing, like sniping, tanking etc.. But Ravioli is good all around, he can do everything pretty well, and that's why he's the best player.

Completely agree with your comments in the description, Ravic. People complain about how severe suppression is but with how much stronger sniper rifles became in BF1 you need something to put them in check. I really don't like the sweet spot mechanic either, at least not with it going up to 100 damage. Part of the fun and rewarding challenge of sniping in BF games has been getting to the point where you can hit those headshots with increasing success and the sweet spot mechanic takes away from that. On the receiving end if you get dropped from full health by a sniper who headshot you from a good distance while you were running sideways to him you don't feel like you got robbed cus they made such a skillful shot. I can't say I feel the same way when I get one-shot to the body, especially when things were already made easier compared to BF4 with the increasing bullet speed.
Seriously, this is like god tier sniping, if I where to land even half of these shots I'd be cheering

For sniper rifles, I like the higher velocities because it reinforces the role of the sniper rifle as a weapon for long range, but at the same time it'd be nice to see a bit of exaggerated drop as well so there's a bit more compensation for bullet drop required to get accurate shots. Combine that with a reduction to the sweetspot mechanic and the sniper rifles would require accuracy to do their job well, but in return would still be effective at their job. Have it be a bit like BF2 sniping, I guess.
Also are those the default hitmarkers? They sort of remind me of prepatch BF4 hitmarkers, at least the kill confirmed hitmarkers.

Gosh, every time you landed a headshot it gave me the chills, seriously. I really enjoyed that pilot kill at the last few minutes of the video. Sniping in BF has always been about taking shots most others won't because they worry about accuracy stats for some reason. Take more shots, get more better, get more kills. And find who has ammo.

justin blank it's my favourite rifle, I can use it for 20-100 metres because of the tremendous muzzle velocity and I just enjoy its performance. It's my L115, not the best, but for me it feels amazing.
It's a good rifle for longer range engagements.
Gewehr 98 has a faster muzzle velocity close range but it doesn't last long, the m1903 has the least bullet drag so it holds it's velocity much better than the others.

Rodrigo Godoy Valenzuela martini obviously. It's the gewher 98, probably butchered that. It has a muzzle velocity of 880fps, but the Springfield has 820fps.
meters per second... not feet. More or less the same as real life bullets... so 2500 - 3000 feet per second

Just got notified, so used to saying feet for real life circumstances that I put it here. The fact is the same, the gewher is 880mps, tremendously fast and probably the best rifle for engaging outwith 100 metres

His suggestion are kind of stupid to me. We cant just have to remove the sweet spot i mean i dont wanna use the k bullet all the time(if they even do extra damage) just to single shot at the body. Each sniper has an effective range and i think the sweet spot makes it more realistic. The most stupid part of his suggestion to dice is “leave the sweet spot for the gewerh m95 and martini henry” dude wth that makes the game more unfair. Im fine with snipers killing me alll time after all 75% of my killers are sniper

my favorite thing to do in battlefeild 1 is snipe people by spotting them with binoculars and slowly and finally shooting them and moving to a different location.
I should be named "M1903 Sniper Rifle" but not even the devolper put enough effort to realise that a sniper is the operator of a sniper rifle, or any other gun.

I don't really like the sweet spot mechanic either but I think it adds an element of realism as well. Considering as an actual sniper it would only take one shot to kill an enemy from any range.
That would certainly make sense in a game based on realism like a milsim but Battlefield has always been an arcade shooter.

Your 'sloppy' shooting is about Normal for me lol. I've actually said something similar to you about the Sweet Spot for a while now as well, one hit kills that don't take a lot of skill are just annoying both when I do them and receive them.
