- In this episode of Show & Tell, Gastro Obscura associate editor Anne Ewbank speaks with Vic Clinco, an avid hot sauce fan with the (unofficial) largest collection of hot sauces in the world. Clinco’s collection started 22 years ago, when his wife gifted him a few bottles for Christmas. Today his collection is around 9,200 bottles, organized by region, including a shelf dedicated solely to Tabasco. Clinco also has rare bottles, such as hand-blown ones in the shape of a Carolina Reaper, a hot sauce grenade, and a bottle of crystalized capsaicin oil that clocks in at 16 million Scoville Heat Units-making it the hottest on the planet.

Did you make that hot sauce or did you buy it? I make tonkotsu ramen at home and want a tasty hot sauce other then the boon's that I normally use.

Fuck I love hotsauce. My family hate me for it. They complain about the smell when I make something spicy, it's so sad. :( I need someone who shares that love with me.

Yup. That's what I came to comment on, too. If kept in a refrigerator, they'll keep longer, and look better. What a waste, especially aesthetically.
Same for powdered hot spices such as paprika, et al.
Even better, those you can freeze, as long as they're tightly sealed.
@@vjmarak not much you can do about it. Even if you have a fridge large enough to hold them all, they will go bad eventually :/
