      its just a matter of how much time you put in. if you spent your entire life building wooden dams then you would likely have better results as well

    It’s actually quiet insane to see how much water is caught from such a small dam. They properly flooded the whole Forrest.

    I wonder if it would have been beneficial to dump all the sticks on the soft ground. Maybe a better bed for the machine to get traction?

    There are times when some heavy machinery is a real blessing. Don't forget to get that dirt ridge just below the waters surface.

    It would be VERY appropriate to show the effect of the rushing water, down stream for at least a few miles. Does such total removal cause flashfloods n damage to riverbanks???

    How long has he been running that thing, how about raising the RPM & speeding that up, wouldnt be so slow with the extension, bucket etc...Nice bucket on it though

    I've never seen a telehandler other than in here. Around here, they use excavators/backhoes. They seem to be even better, but perhaps they are more expensive.

      @@evankolacki8950 I grew up on the floor and we had a beaver pond over on the backside and my dad said they were God's engineers here on Earth the original ones and yes I think they're they're good for a farm I don't think they sit down and say I'm on intentionally flood past your land or something else but if there are on the back side somewhere that you're not using the ground anyway I think it's plumb dumb to do any harm to them or their damn cuz they're just going to build back

      @@deanbroome7855 Hey Dean! Calling beavers engineers is like calling a Great White shark a garbage can. I have no positive use for either. And a beaver doesn’t survey someone’s property and then ask the owner which section the owner wants to GIVE to the beaver to destroy. Given the opportunity I will continue to trap or shoot every beaver I can.

    Now that machine does the job and get the water moving like it is suppose to, that will allow the area to be more dry . Were we lived in Southern Illinois (USA) we used explosives to remove beaver dams. We didn't have a Telehandler but it does an excellent job and hopefully the issue with the beaver went away.

      Yeah, I really expected him to drop the first load right where the tires were sinking and then spread it a bit. Then clean it up after the dam is gone.

    The destruction a beaver can do to the habitat Forest runs in the hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars worth of loss of trees and land.. This has to he done.. Nice job !

      Beavers are nuisance animals. The dams they build destroy property and roads. I decide what happens on MY property.

      @@evankolacki8950 in the west where droughts are common, they are trying to use beavers to help ranchers locally raise the water table. And locally store water,.
      In many cases the pasture lost to the pond is offset by increased productivity elsewhere. Everything in balance. Too many beavers or too large a pond can be just as bad as no beaver.

      @@0xFF48 Having beaver damn up streams out west I think would be an ineffective means of water conservation. Beaver destroy trees because tree bark is their entire diet and they use the branches to build the damns. Furthermore if an area is drought stricken trees are less available already. Can not sustain a beaver population.

      @@evankolacki8950 it's low cost distributed water storage compared to building large dams. It's not the solution for every situation, it has to be in the right rural areas. Either on public lands or a rancher that wants to trade some pasture land for natural water storage.
      Because water rights are funny, the rancher might not legally be able to dam the river, but if a beaver happens to do it..and if that water happens to soak onto the ground and raise the water table on the pasture....

      Friend bought this one for various farm works lifting heavy bags etc. so he's not a professional :) Also there was very wet ground he was afraid to do not drown the machine.
