- This time, I’ve created a work inspired by the novel-based anime Overlord, with the support of generative AI! The music is a heavy metal arrangement that captures the essence of Overlord’s world, and I personally wrote both the lyrics and the composition, making it an entirely original piece created by me. What is Overlord?
Overlord is a Japanese light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama. It is a dark fantasy set in another world, where the story follows Ainz Ooal Gown (real name: Suzuki Satoru), the protagonist who finds himself transported to a new world when the VRMMORPG “Yggdrasil” ends its service. Ainz, based in the guild headquarters of the "Great Tomb of Nazarick," which he built with his former comrades, begins a new life in this world.
The NPCs under Ainz's command are unique, loyal, and add depth to the story. The narrative intricately explores relationships with other people and nations in this world, with Ainz depicted as an "anti-hero," rather than a typical protagonist, which is one of the series' most captivating features.
