One episode doesnt take a week to make, it takes more. When they are drawing first episode they are also drawing the other ones. Also drawing filler episodes there too, so if some important main episode isnt on time, they just throw the already made filler episode between and call it a day. Old anime looked gorgous.

Group shot at 0:49 is pretty much flawless and I screamed at the action shots afterwards because I've wanted to see the OG style with that level of intensity for so long! I know a lot of people are talking about how crystal is supposed to look like the manga but I don't get that at all. The manga was super clean and I find that crystal has crazy consistency issues almost as bad as Steven universe. Maybe this is all just under the lense of nostalgia but when a face looks standard and then they cut away and cut back and it's drastically changed?? (As in the eye to face ratio, or the face shape entirely) That drives me insane. I really wanted to like crystal but I just can't get past it. ANYWAYS, this is super amazing?? Holy shit??

Magical. Just magical. The only thing I would change would be the rain. In the old anime, whenever there was a rainy scene, the background image would be drawn in a very oily-almost wet style and the only visible rain animation was one or two drops of it.
