Not only the best race she's ever had, but possibly the best individual effort in a cross country race I've ever seen. Take care of the team goal first and then cross a huge gap to run down an elite runner with a perfectly measured effort for the individual win.
So many talented runners are not team players: she recognizes the team win is just as important as her titles. That's why many other good runners have joined her at NC State.
@@Robertjames525 That doesn't sound right. Between now and then (according to the NC State track website) there are the Tom Jones, Wake Forest, UVA, Charlotte, and the Penn Relays. There is nothing scheduled for the 6th, and the next events on the calendar after the Penn Relays are the ACCs, NCAA regionals and the NCAA champs.

My little-ol' Karissa Schweizer took the Olympian and World Record in the women's 4x1500 meters relay.... this is why i keep different color rocks from that little old crick out on cracker-neck road i have always respected the powe r of these ladies who break these records i meant to say, because it is the little things i mean... like this lady here, she has been breaking em (records i mean so please stop pegging me into the corner baby-doll)... My Katelyn is a four-time individual NCAA Division I champion. I meant to say... and that good-ol Whittni Orton & that little old Parker Valby... but don't worry i have been healing my brain to remember the best of the best it helpd me heal i mean. have a blessed day
One would think that athletes who are taller and have longer strides would be faster and have the advantage -- Katelyn proves that wrong (at least for women).
As a strong alpha-male I will easily recognized her as the alpha male pack leader and or Queen Bee,, that wolf pack has got it going on and I will love to mate with any of that championship team members please dear God
i also offer that good-ol farmer Charlie i ean boxes of work gloves to let em me i mean fish & bow-hunt on his land but i do not have the time these dys.. i mean... paramount pictures studios & that god old screen-plays i mean and i am trying to find the balance but wow... there is n o way on gods green earth could i make it just one lap around that track i would be more worn out that a 3 legged fox in a hen hose.. i mean? the who's wpuld come outta the wood-work for me... i would freeze up & someone would have to bring me back to reality & explain to me what happened i mean

That Cross Country Championship was the best race I have ever seen. I love her humility!!!!
Definitely one for the ages - never gets old. I'd anticipate that for years to come it will be used as a motivational tape for young athletes.

Watching Katelyn over the last year reminds me of watching Pre. She’s fearless and so so strong.
Following Katelyn and the rest of the Women's XC Team has been the greatest joy I've experienced as an NC State fan in a long, long time.
