Honestly I believe they are making too much of a fuss about this air buffering.. I have mine for one year now .. didn't bother fixing this issue yet 😅 ... but since these would cost 9$ .. why not
Mark the backside...that has the backing. That way you won't see it when installed....also, what about installing them to match the angle of the sail panel since the idea is to just disrupt air flow? 🤔
The truck is to roll one window all the way down and other crack it, the reason Toyota did not fix the issue due to aerodynamics of the car. Try one window full down other cracked 2 inch see how the difference. That’s the trick but can’t roll 2 down
Thank you for advising this good and cheap option, I've ever thought about by using carbon parts but too expensive and big, I like this smaller option and it looks fit and well, I will do on my Supra 2.0. , Really thanks
well after all my genuine laughing, because of now we're into 'sharpies' for coloring-over,3m tape/adhesive,plastic door guards, and all these doo-dads on a car thats $60 grand lol =) now i get WHY the ppl are trying to resolve this bs windbuffeting and also aside being amused from the irony here,i DO also appreciate these ppl for making the vids and explaining in detail how to resolve it ***i wanna make that clear here*** afterall these ppl didnt design the supra, again all this would be halarious if it wasnt so sad because of the supras price-point(60 grand) and all this fiddling with $9 plastics,art-supplies etc, on a 60 thousand dollar car, lol???? and for ME thats the irony,im sorry i just cant justify using all this stuff on a high-end-car;anyways IF any prospective buyers are cross-shopping and money isnt the determining factor,***the 2022 mx-5/RF DOES NOT HAVE ANY 'wind-buffeting' and that's a hard-top-targa/convertible*** vs.a fixed-roof on the supra with the wind-buffeting,and its less pricey, plus they offer the manual etc.
After spending 60k, I decided to be as cheap as possible to fix the buffeting with rubber strips and a Sharpie 😂. Is it a stupid issue with the car that Toyota should have easily resolved? Yes, absolutely. Is it still an amazing vehicle? Without a doubt. In my opinion, the Miata doesn't compare (even though the Supra kind of looks like one with a fat ass). With a tunable 2020, downpipe, and a quick MHD flash tune (less than $1k) it's at 460ftlbs tq and terrifyingly amazing. Manual transmission will also be an option this year. If you haven't test driven one yet, I'd Highly encourage you to give it a try. I suspect you'll be impressed. To each their own, cross comparison is always what people should be doing to know what they want. I really do appreciate you checking out the video, have a great weekend 🙌
@@evlx14 well im very sure youre right and yes im EXTREMELYYYYY tempted to buy one,but sorry to say the whole bmw involvement like with alot of buyers/lookers,caused me to delay;now, had it been cross-bred with say Honda and toyota(the supra) i bet everything there would be still questions, but noway controversy/cautious-buyers;i know the manuals are supposed to be out in 2023 but i can take or leave a manual w this supra;it has an exotic-look regardless of trans i think;it does have a uniqueness makes the new Z look dull frankly;part of me says go for it,if its problematic, sell it! that simple;i have a dealer thats able to get me whatever color at my choice,so they too arent making things easy =)(in a good way) yes the mx-5 wont have the blistering speed of this supra, the mx-5 is unique in its own way.lastly,i sometimes stop my mentioning of 'bmw-dna' because look at Ford, with the mustang gt,very powerful car as well, but with a ton of genuine complaints/problems from owners, and that car is ALL FORD.i remind myself of that alot with this supra when bmw is mentioned over and over, thanks for your feedback!
@@johnyaskoveakarpaccio4737 Well said. Who knows what BMW reliability will be in the long run and I totally understand the skepticism. I do know that the Supra's looks snap necks like crazy. @@evlx14 you are spot on! i just feel somewhat bad(in all seriousness) for you buyers that spent call it $60grand and have to fiddle with after-market-kits on a design-flaw IMO on this car;when ppl cant even drive with the windows down without causing ear-discomfort,to me thats a serious issue esp on a $60grand car;think of the irony,if you bought a beater for 2grand drove around with the windows down(like you would on the supra, same speed etc)and no wind buffeting occured with the beater for 2grand vs a whopping 60grand-car is all im saying/thinking to myself...and one would think parting w 60k is the issue,NO its the oddity of the wind-buffeting and restrictions placed on the owners who spent this kindof cash to begin with, thats MY issue about this; not the funds as one would safely assume;i hope you found a way to resolve it im stunned frankly the more ppl posting about this i was replied with someone doing 30mph '30!!', windows 30% and still occuring, the supra probably has a hard time doing 30 to begin with.i cant believe not one but TWO big names BMW/TOYOTA didnt notice this not one person from both brands when testing this before release? just hard for me to believe thats all,ive actually posted asking if any buyers/owners did NOT have the wind-buffeting.for a special car and the pricepoint i hope you fixed yours.
I have a Supra you're worn the windows down a little bit you don't get the buffet in why did you say even if your wine the windows down a little bit the buffeting is there it is not
Hey bro. I wanted to tell you that I took off the single horn and went with dual PIAA. But they did not sound loud enough. I took all apart again and put in a pair of Tacoma/ Tundra horns. Go with real Toyota. Loud and boss sound which matches the Supra -!!
I put these on. They work incredibly well. Way better than I expected. Wind buffeting 100% fixed. Mine came with logo only on 2.
That is using your noodle! Nice rearranging parts!
The wind buffeting is honestly the only reason I haven’t purchased an A90 for the shop. If something like this works, it’s game on!
The car is amazing. These little things really do make it better 👌
They make a really nice CF panel that sticks to the same plate. Looks natural.

For real, super cheap. Might as well. 👌

And might I suggest a seamstress sewing measuring tape that is soft fabric for such measuring needs 😉
Roger that 🙌

Very smart idea!
This is why you need a 3D printer! 🤣
Hell yeah! Now you just gotta fix the rest of the car. 🤷♂️

Hell yeah, sounds like a good idea. The stock horn is embarrassing.
