Notes on how to improve :
judges did not rly give good feedback so i'll make my own:)
4 Rotations (Marimba solo)
Coulda missed a lot less notes, phrasing was a little bit "sea sickey" and could definitly be a different solo next time, have more of a groove and maybe dress up and record properly :)
Sorcerers A:
standard and boring, i need to find some way to make it stand out, probably use some bigger magic flute sticks, flams need to be more consistent, maybe single the runs and don't decreshendo between them. Bring out accents a hint more too?
Sorcerers B:
I thought this was one of the cleanest things i had, could probably go a touch faster and open up more, def need to even my right hand out and accent, keep the trill going till all the way, maybe try different brass malelts
Juba
I think using some rosewood or hard exterior with a soft core mallet for this next time would be good. I played very stock which i still don't know if i should really be doing, but might ad lib a little on the next time I play. Very good tempo I guess and speedup, dynamics were ehh, iphone camera blame but make more dramatic i guess
Carnival:
I didn't rly focus on tamboruine which I definilty should have, i need to make sure its more consistent, use a larger tambourine, and not let the jingles ring when dropping the tamboiurine. Additionally figuring out where to angle tamb too
Small Talk:
snare drum was my most bad stuff, I just didn't focus on small talk soon enough and procrastinated, thus my snare sucked badlyyyyy. Just gotta rework again
Scheherezade Soft
Open doubles, get some small tip sticks with medium weight, and a smaller snare drum might help, but just gotta get them doubles
Scheherezade Loud:
Honeslty don't care but it was ok, just needs to be more stiff and powerful. Singles could be a little more drastic
Hindemith A
FUN TIMPANI, just gotta make it more dynamicall accurate, maybe harder felt and rubber core or smth, something powerful.
Hindemith B
Dynamics were consistent between reps, also moving the camera to the middle of the timpani might make it less biased LOL
Folklore
Ima try using 3 drums bc im way better at tuning now, i think everythign else was perfect tho on this, except maybe roll speed so i gotta experiment with that

hey sorry this is a littleeee bit late but I think recording seperately (except for instruemnts that are the same such as timpani or glock) is best, trying to show u can be consistent with long passages is probably best
