I just got a Nautilus E616 elliptical that has almost the same console, which is what got my attention. Didn't realize this was for a bike until close to the end of the video. I will look for the correct video for my elliptical but this video was still very helpful.

Your video was great setting up my 570r. But i have the same problem as several people have mentioned here, the heart rate reader is all over the place. It said 199 BPM after about 1 minute of pedalling. and then nothing, and then 160. Might have to return it as its the main reason I bought this model. At 71 yrs old, I need to keep within the recommended BPM limit. Thanks for the video

Thank you for posting this video. There must be something wrong with the BPM on my bike. As soon as I started pedaling my BPM was 135 whilst my BPM on the Pulse Oximeter was 65.

Great video, I learned some things I did not know. I have the 170 model, but I want to know how the levels translate to watts? Any thoughts? Also, how do I set up the blue tooth to work with other apps like zwift, RGT, etc? It only seems to work with Explore the World. Thanks!

Hey, great tip, thank you. Can you please help me with a Nautilus E628? The console turns on but stays blank without any welcome text. Pressing buttons doesn't do anything. I tried pulling the plug, etc. but no joy.

It was a little squeaky at one point but just needed some bolts around the seat area to be tightened. Doesn’t make any noise now.
I can't get that Bluetooth app to work on either my late models Samsung phone or tablet. When I choose a scene it just crashes or something. Any solutions? Thanks
I have the Nautilus R616 which is exactly the same bike. It's just a tad cheaper and a 2 year warranty opposed to Schwins 1 year warranty.

I have the Schwinn 430 Elliptical. It works GREAT, but for some reason my console screen does not light up. It's brand new. One website said to make sure it has "fresh batteries", but I see no place to put batteries in on the console. Can anyone help?!
How do you connect to Bluetooth, Schwinn Trainer App is taken off the Apple store, I tried to Explore the World and Bowflex and was not able to connect to the Bluetooth, any help will be appreciated in advance.!
I'm having a console problem with my Schwinn 170 model. After I plug it in, the console lights up but none of the commands work. Does anyone know why and how to fix it? It was working fine until now (for about one year).
Good morning - I can't figure out how to set the reistance to one setting. I would like the setting to stay at a certain level and not change according to how fast I am pedaling. If the resistance becomes so high that I can no longer pedal, can I manually lower it a lowe setting. Thanks.

This is the best console setup video on youtube. Thank you!!! Had only one glitch, which is that in the initial scroll through, i neglected to turn the beep off. Now the editing options won't show the sound screen. How can I get back to zero so I can turn the stupid beep off??? Thanks.
I came here for this very question. I'm thinking there must be a way to go back to the settings without resetting the entire console? Beep is SO loud and annoying!
The only way to turn it off is to press and hold the right arrow and pause/end red button. simultaneously. It does take you back to the beginning, but it's the only way to get access to the sound option again. Turned mine off, Finally!
Thank you for this video so as you pedal faster or slower the Explore the World App video speeds up and slows down? Also is it possible to hAve the app change the resistance say if it is currently going uphill? Thank you.
Yes the video in the app adjusts to your speed: the scenery advances faster or slower according to how fast you pedal. To my knowledge, no, you cannot change resistance within the app and there is no app-driven adjustment of the resistance so it doesn't matter if you're going uphill or downhill in the video you just get the resistance that you set the bike to.
I guess you can adjust the resistance manually as you go up hills.
I like my 470 but I'm not figuring out how to save a custom program. Can this be done? I simply want to save a program under my user name where I specify the time as well as both intensity levels. Surely this should be intuitive to do but so far I'm not seeing it.

DOES IT AUTO ADJUST the resistance in the virtual workout or swift?
In explore the world app, no, it runs whatever program/resistance the console is set to. I believe all other apps are the same.
I tried to reset console and now it write "pwr cycle now", i'm pretty lost. (Schwinn 270). Also, My speed in km/h is the same as the mile/hour, the app show the corrext speed but not the console...
I've got an error code button stuck how can I fix that ?
Question. This is my 2nd schwinn 270 recumbent bike. The intensity levels in the programs such as mountains - mount hood are not changing every 2 mins. Did something change and or how is the timing of the intervals determined. The every 2 min change is so much more practical rather than being stuck on a level for 12 mins before it moves to the next one. Can anyone explain this and how do I fix this? I always choose the calories goal and it supposed to do this when you choose it. Hope you could follow along here!
Hi thanks for the good question. So each bar is 2 minutes when the total workout is 30 minutes. In other words, since there are 15 bars, each bar represents 1/15 of the total workout time. If you’re set on calories, I’m not sure if the console automatically chooses the total workout time? But hopefully this helps a little.
How do you activate the Bluetooth option? As you can tell I am not computer savvy!! 🤣
I have downloaded the app to my phone and my iPad. But attaching it to my phone to the bike it doesn’t seem to apply to the panel.
is there any app that can actually control the resistance to simulate a ride just as the built in programs do??? thanks.
Not that I know of. That would be great if there were.
QUESTION: What shoe would you recommend, because these diabetic shoes do not fit thru the straps. I do have a wide foot, so normal bike shoes will not work. This for the Schwinn 270
If straps are maximum adjusted then disconnect or use smaller shoes. I wear house slippers and pedal half hour
i dont like straps and pedal like a outdoors bike

Nautilus JRNY app I believe charges
Peloton app has several membership options. One of the options is free.

Are these supposed to stay on as long as the plug is in the wall?
It times out and turns off by itself after I think 2 minutes or something like that
Has anyone else noticed that the heart rate monitor spikes , and stays there no matter how long you hold the handlebar monitors contacts??? I even noticed in this short little video that when he put his hands on the heart rate contacts of the handlebars it spiked, and all he did was take his hands back off the contacts.

Hmm that is not common. Just to be sure, verify your outlet is working by charging your phone or plug in a lamp or something like that. Then, it would probably be either the power cable to the bike (make sure it is securely plugged in to wall and to bike), a cable connecting to the console, or the console itself. I would take the console off and check the cable attachment. Look at the pins, if they are damaged you may need a new cable. I would also suggest to call tech support 800-605-3369 for any other ideas and replacement parts if needed. I hope this helps.
Has anyone here find a way to adjust display brightness? The owner's manual indicates that there is an option to do so, but following the steps given in the manual does not lead to a brightness display adjustment option. Thank you.
Two options: 1) Find a thin towel or bed sheet. Drape it over the screen. 2) sunglasses 😎 😂
My schwin bike’s wheel is making noise please please help
Does anyone know why when I’m riding and the timer gets to 5 sec it says “pedal to continue” and when I hit ok, it pauses at 10 sec. It does it every 5 seconds.
I have had the same problem for several years. Hard to find an answer anywhere. I did a "reset" (by holding down the right arrow button and pause/end button, then scrolling through until it says "reset console," ) I did this, added new users, and it helped temporarily and then the problem returned. Nautilus is really no help. I am on my second bike and they both had the same issues
i get lazy and set the resistance then unplug it, dont use the console haha

Remove the screen from your house window and duct tape over the bike screen LOL sorry I wish there were a dim option…I know what you mean!
Hello! Very good video. I'm wondering if you're knowledgeable about troubleshooting. My schwinn 170 was working great, but suddenly stopped registering anything on the monitor. It does illuminate and shows the section outlines that would normally fill in - welcome, speed, etc. Any ideas on what to check? Thank-you.
Hmm I haven’t done much troubleshooting but Schwinn has a customer service number you can call 800-605-3369. Let us know if they are able to help?
@SaveMoneyDIY Yeah, they weren't any help as far as troubleshooting. Tried to sell me a tension/resistance motor, a tool to remove that part, and a new console for almost $400. I think I'll just spend some time tomorrow disassembling and see if maybe a wire is kinked somewhere. Thank you for replying to me anyhow - just hoping someone else had seen this issue.
