I'm glad he's returning as he's just coming into his own. I was tired of all the "fan sites" constantly talking about Sonny for the past two years. It's almost like Cody Simon had one of the all-time great years for Ohio State linebackers and nobody noticed. As someone who lives 2,000 miles away from Ohio now, all the rehashing of Sonny's legendary HS exploits meant nothing to me as I'm only interested in his OSU production. He is producing now (although getting burned by the same wheel route twice against Texas was a bad optic) and I hope he will have a season of legendary college exploits in 2025.
He's be gone if we hadn't haven't played him out if position for 2 yrs. He'll now get another season of development at the linebacker position and probably be a 1st rounder next year...love that guy!
Wait. What is the bad news? After 2 years of overload work at Ole Miss, QJ's opportunity clock was ticking. He had to make the jump now with the viability window for RBs being what it is. I am actually shocked that more Buckeyes aren't in the portal. Who could blame Devin Brown as he needs to get on the field and it probably wasn't happening in Columbus?
You have Sonny, Downs and Iggy back. It looks like CJ is bulking up to play DE because that game vs Nebraska and a couple shows he’s a natural fit pass rusher. Curry and Jackson also are really good!!!! I think this defense next year in terms of speed, athleticism could be ball hawks
