the hardest thing from moving to linux from windows and apple is finding a good clean music player. I've used foobar2000 in windows for years and I just love it because I can do everything within that single player. with the extra codecs installed it can hadle almos every music file. the interface is simple and clean. clementine is probably the best you can get in linux, and while it can hadle various types of music files it still lacks some basic customization and it feels cluttered. I haven't been able to change the song name fon't on the playlist, I like that I can desplay the art in the background but then I cant see the song name. I wish there was a version of foobar2000 for linux.

Unfortunately it's a dead project, has been since 2016, switch to strawberry.

@@KeepItTechie welcome. Only difference I can see between the 2 is the lack of a remote for strawberry. Strawberry is a fork of clementine so not much if anything is different.

Used on MacBook Pro,,
it's the biggest piece of crap
that has crashed ten times in the last
4 hours.
Try to play any tune, it claims it's the end of playlist then quits.
Forced to always have activity monitor up to kill the App.
Last two hours, completely killed it and reloaded entire iTunes library,
and was playing fine for maybe half hour, then went to crap again.
Can't wait to get rid of this fake player.
At least iTunes was solid, and plays videos, and this App cannot.
