To be more realistic you should simulate the cup slightly larger than the visible cup and then boolean subtract the simulated mesh from the visible cub. Water in a cup is flat against the glass, not looking like lava.

How'd you get the liquid to be so thin? I keep getting a bit thicker viscous liquid for some reason for my animation. I reduced the viscosity value but it's still isn't exactly what I want.

Yes you can just change the material, u don't need any addon for that

in principal it looks accurate but it lacks density and maybe blender's math isnt enough to create a realistic simulation of foam and bubbles
