  • Welcome to the 2nd part of our white water guide.
    This will help you to understand how to setup the simulator for bubbles, spray and dust, to find the right settings for your scene.
    If you are interested in using the fracture modifier, please visit this page: blenderphysics.com/fracturemo...
    Our complete guide with links to the scene-files, and links to our text documentation can be found here: flipfluids.com/complete-guide/

    Thank you very much for developing this super piece of software: it is worth every Euro to purchase! A question: I try to make a beer simulation (photorealistic animation) with quite a bit of foam on it. Is it possible to measure the bubbles and foam in a random size? How can I make the foam head thicker? Now I have extended its lifetime, but it is not getting thick enough. Thank you very much for an answer.

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually it is not possible to have randomized white water particles sizes. But we have this on our todo list. Having a thicker foam head is not possible. But there is a very realistic foam material available on the blender market! Maybe this is exact what you are looking for?

  • @BlenderBob
    @BlenderBob 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the clip. I assigned the shaders to my foam and spray but I can't see them at rendering. They are there in the viewport though. Any idea?

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes they are not set visible for rendering - but if nothing helps you can send your blend via email to us

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe they are disabled for rendering.
      Sometimes it also required to reload a frame or particle sizes are to small. If nothing helps you can send your blendfiles with some information to us.

    I was wanting to make a fracture interact but noticed that if I try to make it work while around domain it doesnt sim properly. Also did you then have to choose each chunk and make it a flip obstacle? Thanks.

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, just the object needs to be an obstacle. And "export animated mesh" needs to be enablend in the obstacle´s settings.

    what material do you set dust particles to render to? Dot stroke?

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would try the bubble-material that is included in the addon.

    I want to increase the the spray particles . How will i do it. I want lots of spray after throwing a heavy material in water

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on world size and min/max settings (advanced) for white water particles. Please take a look to our complete guide series. White water will be explained there ;)

    Hmmm. Can you upload some easy Video with real reason to use Dust particle, some example. Foam , bubbles, spray yes i agree i see many reasons of use. But Dust? I was here last time over a 1 year ago ^_^ I hope you are in good health !

      Thank you 🙏! Hope you are healthy as well.
      It’s nice for underwater effects. As example rocks under water in a river simulation.

    i just tried to do my own rigid body + fluip fluid animation , but the cubes dosen't seem to interact with the fluid

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure that you:
      1. Bake the RB´s physics
      2. Make the RB´s obstacles, with "export animated" enabled
      3. You bake the fluids after step 1-2.
      If this does´t work please contact us per email.

    I'm having a rigid body object falling into the water and I can't get any bubbles to form.
    It barely wobbles the surface 🥲

    • @FLIPFluids

      Did you enable whitewater for the simulation?

  • @Vectorr66

    Is it not possible to copy the "flip fluids" physics with ctrl+c to other chunks?

    • @FLIPFluids

      Not yet - we will add this to our todo-list.

    Can this be used to simulate sand?

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually this addon cannot simulate granular. The FLIP solver is for liquids only.

    Flip fluid is nice simulator but annoying thing about it happen when you want to cancel simulation . it takes some times 30 min !

    • @FLIPFluids
      @FLIPFluids  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this is because when hitting cancel the simulator runs its last task to the end. This way the last simulated frame gets not lost.
