    First of all, Ralf Schumacher is an exceptional drummer!
    When it was the turn of the "80s UK GATED" kit, I started singing "Billy Don't Lose My Number" by Phil Collins 😀
    I've always been a fan of Roland drums, but these latest models from Yamaha, they sound really good!

    I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. I had been looking at lower priced kits, but when I heard this, and saw this kit. It's not just the heads or the sounds. The whole picture has to be taken into account. (Like hardware that moves in multiple directions) Great demo.

      @@drumtecTV "to leather" something is definitely a slang phrase, not sure if it's official Oxford English. But it's a common phrase here in Wales to mean beating something hard. Also means getting very drunk. Possibly to cover something with Leather too. But the latter, I am not sure of.

      Yamaha compatibility is much better with these new modules now they are making mesh drum pads since the Roland 20 year patent expired. The compatibility issue is with using Yamaha pads with Roland gear b/c the use different wiring for ride cymbal, snare, hihat pedal . Hi John, the RHH135 unfortunately is "only" a stepped controller, so although it works & feels fine, its detail/nuanced triggering is not quite on par with the continuous EFNOTE or Roland hihat controllers in my opinion. Kind regards!

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the drum-tec Jam NG series is, as well as ATV EXS/aDrums and probably the Roland PDX pads. All other pads that have a combined mid/side trigger system unfortunately have too much output for the module, which cannot be reduced enough inside the module to get the full dynamic spectrum. Please feel free to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de for further info. Kind regards!

  • @markjohnson1020
    @markjohnson1020 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ralf, you're a beast! Do you think the DTX Pro X Module will work well with the new Roland PDA 100L pads? Obviously, I'm guessing no for the Roland hi-hat and ride cymbals.

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mark, thank you very much! That's right the Roland cymbals are not compatible with the Yamaha module, while there is some third party mesh head compatibility with some pads, f.e. drum-tec Jam NG series & ATV EXS/aDrums series:
      th-cam.com/video/NItZtEqi5d0/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/SMsH41EthCo/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/W8kIW6NMw8c/w-d-xo.html
      I am not sure about the Roland PDA's, as far as I know all other mesh pads apart from the ones mentioned above have a too high output for the DTX Pro module, which you can't reduce enough in the module. You might get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de to find out more if you like. Kind regards!

    I got the DTX 502 and also the DTX 700 drum module, to be honest I don’t really like the sounds from both , what does impress me is playing the kit through my daw BFD3 drum software. The sounds from The BFD3 packs I got just sounds much more realistic , and if compared to the 502 or the 700 the Yamaha just sounds cheap. I would like to just use a drum module on its own if it had the same sound quality of the drum software on the market like BFD3 or Superior drummer , etc etc . This DTX-pro sounds pretty good but I would need to try it for myself switching over to BFD3 and back comparing the quality to justify me buying this module . I would like some feedback on this issue from Yamaha !!!
