For the videos, what I'd advise is that you reduce your video resolution yourself and not let WhatsApp compression do it's thing. You can always use video editing apps like Inshot to reduce your video's resolution to 480P.
Note: A video with 480P resolution would look crisp than a 4k video on WhatsApp status.

Which setting do I need to change to set hd status pics
Go to the fm mods setting... Go to universal go down to settings and scroll down to the last part.. You'd see a section for it. Increase the size to the max
