I am loving the 800v setup. So glad to see them do that. I also love that sound! It's great that you're able to hear the motor rev up.
This shows that there is a place for EV Sports cars. It's fast, powerful, and makes great noises.
I wonder why the production evs never sound this good.
Thanks - share the word out (and the video!) 💪🏻
We need more solutions like this plug&play for us garage hotroders 😊😂
💯
This is a bit of a game changer for me.🏆 800v ⚡️, drop in, fits multiple cars and a trusted brand like Tremec is great to see. This really is the fantastic EV kit. 💯 Although I really don't like the gear selector, I much prefer a lever.😉 Whats your preference?🤷♂️
As a huge Mustang fan, I love this project!
Great demonstrator! Fun episode to film!
The most impressive part about this conversion to me is the fact that they get 205 Mi of range out of a reasonable 63 kilowatt hour battery pack most EV conversions I've seen have well below 200 mi ranges
And that’s with a huge hole in the hood that has to hurt aero.
The only thing I don’t like about AEM’s system is that the original dash gauges don’t work. I do love that the industry is moving towards “drop in” conversions. For now this is still only for dedicated installers… but I do see the weekend DIYer doing a conversion in the near future.
There are digital to analog conversion devices that can fake signals into existing analog guages. Just $
This is how we save ALL the fun cars in the future!
Great video and informative!
The last clip should be the first clip. !! That's how you know it's a real Mustang leaving Cars and Coffee
This seems like a great product, but because of the cost I could only rationalize converting a very interesting classic, something you don't see on the street too often. They have some better examples on their website. The kit is about $40,000 and then you need the car on top of it, so you can easily get a nice powerful brand new EV for that cost.
Yes you can buy a new EV for that amount just like you can buy an ICE car for the price of a classic Mustang restoration or a high performance Coyote swap with a complete brand new drivetrain - however some do like to opt for the less conventional, arguably less economically sound option, just because it more fun and exciting ! 👍 also converted to EV Classic hold their value much better than new OEM EVs so that something to bear in mind.
@@shoveI But is that more because it is a proof of concept, a 'this is how you could do it' kind of build, or is this the way someone would actually do it? I have access to a 2008 Mustang convertible. Would be a perfect candidate for something like that, but I would never want the interior to look like that. I would want to retain as much as possible of the interior components as possible. Maybe that isn't something that can be done from a 'DIY' perspective at this point. We'll get there at some point. Hopefully.
@@mikestrockThey sell kits so although I expect they will get cheaper, right now it’s close to $40,000.
@@Molishious Understood. What I was hoping that there was a guide somewhere (I know, I'm dreaming) of the steps necessary and the pieces necessary to do this. $40,000 is a bit out of the budget for me at the moment. But thank you.
Thank You everybody for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth.... Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ ☮ ❤
Ugh, so stiff and poorly rehearsed. Be natural and less “advertisement” next time.
