I still use regular Thanos over Infinite Thanos because regular Thanos with rainbow ISO-8s and the right teammates can keep up with and potentially outclass the Infinity Gauntlet version since he has Beam synergy and the second highest stat total of everyone. On Beam teams, he essentially provides tanking capabilities on both sides, a powerful beam for the synergy (and Thanos is the only dedicated tank to have a beam ability), and a way to stagger enemies through his heavy (and it has the added benefit of not being an ability, meaning that Thanos despite his low energy stat is actually fairly cheap when it comes to EP usage since he only really needs to use his abilities when the enemy is staggered). You can look at it this way: Infinite Thanos is amazing because you don't need to build him up other than leveling and you can slot him into any team and let him do his own thing since he doesn't care about his own teammates, while regular Thanos has higher potential if you go deep into the team building aspect since regular Thanos still has the right set of traits that would benefit the right set of teammates.
@@chrisdwyer4910 Basically get some beam users like Cyclops, Captain Marvel, Rocket & Groot and ISO that increase damage and also ISO that decrease damage done to you by enemies, preferably through rainbows and beam+beam synergy all day. Thanos heavy attack actually does noticeable damage to an enemy's stagger bar, and this means that he can stagger enemies for your team and refill his Energy at the same time. For builds, Thanos's naturally high Durability and Resilience stats coupled with damage resist ISO makes him extremely durable against enemies. His high mastery stat also means that his beam is one of the most powerful beam attacks and Beam+Beam synergies in the game.

I was shocked that you can unlock thanos just completing chapter 10 at mighty level thanks to special Reed Richard's event.. No more need to make long road rift
I prefer to run Plain Thanos like you do, minus melee investment, make him a sponge with health, Dur & Res beefed up, beef up his energy damage and just root to the ground firing his beam continuously, everyone bum-rushes him, making him a potentially decent bottleneck creator
I get they went for this thanos the way they did. Purposely give him low synergies cause Thanos doesn't play nice with others, really high stats, and built like a brick shithouse. Though I do think that Infinite Thanos is just all around more fun. Funny enough, regular Thanos was the last character I unlocked because I didn't bother to clear Lambda until I had 3 characters at level 300.
Crushing blow is his best skill for slam/bash synergies. It's quick and doesnt consume too much energy. His beam is decent, like all beams ;) I love using this Thanos over the overpowered one. His base dot is high enough that i spec him defensively and he still does really well.

yeah this version is pretty underwhelming i remember when i first unlocked him and was pretty disappointed and even though im happy i got infinite thanos as well, i do wish they would have ether spent that time on a different character or given us only infinte thanos and another character. even though thanos with iso 8 is still probably better overall.

I use him with doom. Drop a doom bot. Bring doom close to thanos. Synergy beams. Butter

I thought normal Thanos was ok at best, but Infinite Thanos is way too powerful compared to the rest of the roster
