Given his stake in Aviation, and the massive payday from Mint.... invested, that lot alone will give Ryan a massive amount of the money he needs for Wrexham AFC. They are in very safe hands.
It is incredible what Ryan Reynolds had been achieving with all the brands he has under his wing. From seeing him on the Mint Mobile commercials to now this I think it would be an understatement to say that it is going good for him guy is literally killing it.
I had Mint Mobile at the time of the investment and I woke up one morning to a text message from Ryan Reynolds and I was wondering who got my number and was pulling a fast one on both of us. Big surprise to find out it was real.

I gave seen how he has grown businesses and I knew him and Rob would do a great job at Wrexham and they have.

Taking a leaf out of Sammy Hager’s playbook. Sammy sold 80% of Cabo Wabo Tequila to the Campari Group in 2007 for $80M. 3 years later he sold the remaining 20% for $11M. Now he records music purely for the fun of it and still collects his royalties. Much respect to Sammy and Ryan for being entrepreneurs and taking the risk.

It's actually made for Aviation at a distillery in Portland Oregon much better known for their single-malt whiskey. Noticed them preparing to bottle and box up a batch while touring the distillery. It's a good gin, but wouldn't really stand out without Ryan's marketing presence.
I disagree, even without Ryan I think Aviation would still be successful. I don't care for gin, but Aviation is some of the best.
@@Coyote_Bongwater69 again, it's a good gin, but there are plenty of other good gins on the market. They just don't have a very likable celebrity like Ryan fronting them. Same could be said for the current wave of celebrity tequilas like The Rock's Teremana or George Clooney's Casamigos. Like it or not, people will buy products that people they admire endorse, especially when said endorsers like the product enough to invest in it. As long as the product doesn't suck, it's all good.

He did the same thing with Mint Mobile. He got 25% of the company. And now it just sold to T-Mobile for up to $1.35B. $520M in cash and $820M in stock.

In most cases it is, and often the celeb is just the front but think in Ryan's case it was about taking a product that was already there and giving it a personality. The man is also running a highly successful advertising company, so he seems to have that extra layer that few have.

Aviation Gin was sold to spirits giant Diageo in 2020 for up to $610 million, with Diageo saying that Reynolds would maintain "an ongoing ownership interest.

That was for the whole company. He only has a part of it. Kind of like the Mint Mobile sale to T-Mobile. He owns about 25% of Mint Mobile. I think basically in both cases, he got a part of the company and in return becomes the face of the company and the pitchman.
He didn't sell it for $610m. The company sold for $335m and the rest is all based on sales over the next decade.

Always loved the Aviation ads. He knows marketing, so he knows business. However, I rarely drink gin, but when I do, I’m picky. Until someone I know tells me it’s good, I’ll stick with what I know I like when I choose gin.

What really helps in business is not having to pay actual taxes in California where you have the business buy the house you live in while paying income tax in a different state more friendly to you.

I thought Aviation was sold for 600m in total an he only had a minority stake so he only received part ou d the 600m.
Not to diminish his achievements, but RR knows he only has to fart and media will listen. Take (his) unlimited reach and apply it to pretty much anything and you have a hit. Instead of whoring for brands like the other Hollywood muppets do, he found a product he liked that was (in his opinion) better than its market recognition, bought a stake, and applied his reach to it. More risk, higher reward. Well done RR - but this is just an influencer model on roids, not some new gig.

Some are better than others. It was always fun then to do.
Everyone was a lot more experienced and skilled there at the start. You have to appreciate peers that teach, have patients to do that and make an effort to still connect.
While it sounds superficial, it can change the way you feel about yourself, how you see people and what you appreciate in yourself and them.
I got the tricking talk repeatedly for a lot of things. I excel in gaslight and forming reactions by narrowing out that information I am to be forgetting. It keeps friends safe and me safe.
Things like presenting, selling happy and a lot of other faces I still need to work on and I may never be as proficient as others even those a lot younger than me.
It is still fun to learn even if it is slow.
Trying to figure out ways to say "I will keep this for you." is hard to do without saying it. Others tried to help me on it and promote this but also told me not to have tell or flex faces when doing it.
Even when there is perfect balance and I see it in others it still fucks with me.
